Once inside it a fairly nondescript establishment with a couple of tables in the lobby to sit at while you wait, or eat there if you were inclined (no thanks). The place was fairly busy for a weekday late afternoon, with patrons picking up food and/or placing orders. A few folks you could tell were regular customers, which in itself is a good sign. I ordered the 'Hawaii Five O' which listed crispy shrimp, scallops, chicken, beef, roast pork and vegetables. The wife (aka better half) ordered the 'two item special' of honey chicken and chicken Teriyaki. We also ordered a side of fried pork wontons and crab rangoon. The wait was not very long and the bag felt like it weighed 10 pounds when it was handed off. On the 35 minute drive home the little lady consumed half the wontons and stated they were quite good, which I would agree with later. Both of our entrees were HUGE. They provided plenty of fried and white rice. My Hawaii Five O was very tasty and the better half enjoyed her selection(s) as well. The portions were so big that we had leftovers the following day. The next day I added some red pepper flakes to kick mine up a notch. Neither day was I disappointed. The service was efficient and pleasant enough. If we are in this part of Lakeland in the future and get a hankering for Chinese takeout we would definitely patronize the place again. Oh yeah, the Hawaii Five O at the end of the description had "lobster" listed. This was either a misprint or if there was a piece in it it was minute. Regardless, the flavors were on point.

Yo. I can't believe I found a Chinese spot this legit--outside of New York. Ever since I left the city, I've been on this depressing little food tour, bouncing from one so-called "Chinese restaurant" to another, chasing that real-deal, no-nonsense NY flavor. And let me tell you--it's been rough out here. Florida? Y'all got palm trees and sunshine, but the Chinese food? Straight-up witness protection. That is... until I found this spot. Dead serious, they got it down. The flavor? On point. The prices? Cheaper than a MetroCard swipe. And yo--they actually let you customize your food. I'm talkin' real options, none of that "no substitutions" nonsense. That's a big deal to me, because I'm picky--like, "read-the-whole-menu-twice" picky. Customer service? Mad chill. They treat you like they've known you for years. Food comes out quick, hot, and hittin' every time. I've run through the menu like I'm on a mission: garlic wings with fried rice (certified banger), chicken and broccoli with veggie rice (clean and flavorful), General Tso's (sweet, spicy, crunchy--say less). And don't sleep on the wings--they crispy like they came straight outta Brooklyn. You know BK got the best food if you come from NY. And guess what? They ain't taxing you like some of these other spots. Prices are realistic. Every time I eat here, I seriously consider learning Mandarin just to properly thank these folks. I love getting chinese nourishment here. Been going here for quite a long time. I am vexed idea since they should close at 10pm yet I have been calling the previous week at 9:30pm and they dont answer their telephone. They used to consistently reply. Presently they arent. I typically get out around 9:30pm so I cannot call sooner. I havent have the option to arrange from them along these lines. Lesson of the story: dont try calling them at 9:30, they wont reply. read more
