Broccoli that I pulled out of the dish AFTER I had eaten that much again.

$18.95 for Kung Bo Beef that was at least 60% BROCCOLI!!! WHAT A RIP OFF!! Besides that, broccoli is NOT a Chinese vegetable.

    General Tso tofu (off menu)

Good service and tasty food. I enjoyed my meal at China palace. I wanted General Tso Tofu, but didn't find it on the menu (spoiler alert- they were able to make it). The menu was quite extensive, so most people would be able to find their favorite dishes. It would be helpful if there menu held more explanations for some of the dishes, since there really are a lot of options. We were quickly seated in a simple booth near the entrance upon arrival. The vibe of the place is solidly in the middle of a nice sit-down and a casual eatery. I'd call it casual sit-down if that makes sense. We got crab ragoon as an appetizer (it was called something else on the menu. Super tasty! I was able to get the General Tso tofu, which they called "butter tofu" or something to that effect. I enjoyed it, but wished there was a little more crisp on the tofu. Overall, I would definitely be back to the spot. Nice food, good service, definitely worth a visit.

Sesame Chicken combo. Comes with egg roll.

Been coming here for many years. The dining room is nice, mostly booths. We just prefer to just pick up lately. One downside to take out is it generally gets cold by the time you get home. I will say it's better to eat there. The food is very consistent. You know what you're getting. Without driving to Greensboro it's the best in town. The service is always pleasant.

    Spring roll
    Sarah B.

I ordered sesame chicken combo, with plain lo mein and a spring roll. I didn't realize the combo already came with an egg roll and they didn't tell me so I ended up paying extra. The food was pretty good, everything tasted fresh and was enough for two meals. I didn't love the spring roll, not your typical "Chinese take out" spring roll, but the egg roll was delicious. The inside of the restaurant seemed to have plenty seating and was plenty busy for a weekday night. All in all, I would go back. Maybe try something new. Menu had so many options.

Hot honey chicken w/ pork fried rice No 10. Honey Spicy Chicken

first time trying and actually surprised me! it was good and hot & the place was clean inside. restaurant grade was a 91% the time i went which was kind of low for me but i still tried it. they were generous with the chicken wasn't spicy but i forgot to say medium so they probably gave me mild. i wish they gave more rice to make up for all the chicken lol but that's fine. i wish i had more broccoli too, i love broccoli but my plate only had 2 :/ The egg roll was bomb, i was expecting it to be mid but it was delicious, ill be coming back today for more eggrolls to finish w/ the rest of my chicken lol I RECOMMEND ‍

    Szechuan chicken
    Renee D.

I cannot speak too the customer service here as I only got take out that a friend picked up for me, but my Szechuan chicken was not good most of the container was filled with veggies tons of green peppers and very little chicken, the sauce was very thin(watery) and had very little flavor. I have eaten Szechuan chicken at various Chinese food places So I know each restaurant makes things a little differently but this was not worth eating. if I lived nearby I likely would have gotten my money back.

    Worlds best Egg Roll

We were out and about and decided Chinese food was required. We went to China Palace. The last time I was there, was with my mom and her Countryside Retirement Village friends. My mom passed on 2-14-19 so it's been a minute for sure. But I remembered how good the food was. A quick check on Yelp found a 95.5 Health Score and 4 Stars. We dined in and it was fantastic. We ordered a bowl of Crispy Noodles to start. They met the standard for crispy goodness and we added salt, as we always do. We also got two lunch specials that included a main, fried rice and an egg roll. I ordered the Honey Spicy Chicken and Hubs got the Beef LoMein. We shared bites and both were very good. But the egg roll was the star of the show. They were heads and shoulders above the standard egg roll fare. I'm not sure what gave it such excellent flavor but it wasn't just cabbage. They were outstanding. We will be back for another dine in experience.

10/10 service, great host, amazing food, waitress was very respectful and the area was very clean and welcoming

The egg rolls were mushy on the outside and the pork inside wasn't fresh... it hadn't expired... it just wasn't fresh. Maybe cooked this morning or even yesterday. The General Tso Chicken was made with low quality chicken. My wife actually spit it out it had so much chewy gristle. The sauce (which was supposed to be spicy had no bite. The broccoli wasn't lightly blanched... it was raw. The pork fried rice had no pork, didn't look fried, had a few undercooked frozen vegetables, and no egg. The pork lomein was the best single item... but I'd still give it a 2 out of 10. If the food was good I can forgive the esthetic of a mostly takeout restaurant... but given the horrible food the atmosphere was the icing on the cake. It's been years since Covid had us putting plastic barriers between us. Three unrelated items for sell. There is a candy vending machine (maybe to save people from purchasing dessert?). There is no culturally aligned Chinese music. And not surprisingly, there is no smell of food being cooked to order. I'm thankful for the pleasant weather because something tells me the HVAC wouldn't be on. Avoid this restaurant. I'll be driving to Greensboro next time I want some average Chinese food over this disgusting joke. I honestly have no idea how their Yelp average is 3 Stars. I'm recommending to Chef Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares!

The menu has a great mix of familiar Chinese dishes alongside more traditional regional specialties, and it's clear the restaurant isn't afraid to lean into bold, spicy flavors. The ambiance is cozy. It looks like they turned an old Biscuitville into the dining space, which is quite charming. We ordered quite a few dishes, including the steamed soup dumplings, ox tongue and tripe with chili sauce, Singapore mei fun, intestine with chili pepper, mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, and the intestine noodle. Everything was well prepared, but the standout was how the restaurant balances more "American Chinese" flavors while also staying true to some more traditional chinese flavors as well. The chili-forward dishes had plenty of heat without overpowering the other flavors, and each dish had its own distinct character. The ox tongue and tripe appetizer and the intestine dishes were great options if you're looking to try something a little more traditional. The portions were generous, making it a great place to order several dishes and share with the table. If you're used to American Chinese food, this menu offers a chance to branch out and try something different while still having plenty of familiar options available. If there is a dish I would not order again, it would probably be the soup dumplings. They tasted just like the store bought frozen variety that you can steam at home. Nonetheless, New Sichuan Restaurant is well worth a visit if you're desiring flavors that somewhat lean towards more traditional Sichuan cooking.
