The food is not as pictured and the products used were deceiving and minimal at best. The items were tasteless and grossly over priced. I would not recommend this establishment. They are misleading, cutting corners and not providing the food they are advertising. And they will serve you food even if you specifically advise them you are allergic to... denying its additives. I have been coming to this establishment for many years.I've lived very close to them.So this is often a restaurant that me and my family frequent. Today, after getting off of work, I went and I made a purchase the same thing that i've always gotten when I got home me and my family sat down to eat and realized that the food tastes drastically different.It was horrible.Nothing like it's been in the past, to the extent that we assumed that it was actually the wrong type of food. Not thinking anything of it, I called the company to let them know the food didn't taste quite right today. I explained that I would like it if they made my chicken over as i'm used to what they've prepared previously. They put me on hold for fifteen minutes. then the chef came back and told me that he would make the food, but he needed my food back.I'll explain that.I was home and that was a real inconvenience. But my husband was in the area. With apprehension, he said, okay, and decided that he would prepare my food again and allow my husband to pick it up. Two minutes later, his wife, i'm assuming, called me back and told me that I need to bring the food back and I can come get my money back. then she continued to say, I can't have free food. Insinuating that my attempt was to manipulate them to get a free order of chicken. I Explained that the chef had already agreed to replace my chicken, and she said, no.You need to come here and give me the food back. I have never been so inconvenienced.I have never been so mistreated.I will never return to this restaurant and I suggest that you stay far far away. read more

We have visited this restaurant a few times and that best it's been mediocre. I ordered moo goo gai pan, fresh shrimp fried rice, one fried pork dumplings. It was bagged as I came in to pick up. So I paid for and brought our dinner home. I have to say that the food was not edible. 1st the broth was very dark and tasted as if the mo soup was cooked too long or coming out of the bottom of the pan. The stir fried shrimp was not cooked thoroughly and we had to refry the dinner to feel safe and eating it. The fried pork dumplings where slightly seared on one side and the rest of the dump thing was doughy. Oh and my egg roll was soft and covered with grease. I did not eat the food and plan to return it in the am. So very unacceptable should have never been boxed for take out. Sadly I will not be eating at China Cafe in Kernersville it was conveniently locate but I would rather drive to a good distance, then patron this establishment. China Cafe is my go to place when I don't feel like cooking for the family. Good Chinese comfort food with generous portions. Even my teenage boys get filled up. Very friendly service. read more

2.5 Stars.... The service was pretty good (I walked in for a take out, I did not dine in) but the lady at the register was friendly, which seems to be a rarity for Chinese take out around here. The health rating was a little lower than I like to see, at a 92, but that's still not too low. I got the sesame seed chic ken combination. The food was alright... The sauce that coated the chicken was extremely thick and gel like. That was kind of a turn off. However, it did still taste alright and the rice was decent. This place isn't anything special, but if you can't figure out what you want to eat, and you live near by I'd consider it, though I wouldn't drive across town to eat here. read more

Under new management. They have some new items on the menu, but the new people don't seem to be as personable as the old ones. The lunch buffet is pretty terrible-- there is no variety (most dishes have broccoli or chicken in it), and they do not start firing up refill food unless the tray is completely empty. I ordered the general Tso and it was disgusting! The meat was like processed chicken balls! Didn't enjoy any of it! It only had one piece of broccoli, I would not recommend this Chinese food to anyone. I will never be getting food from there again. Also it was $9.00 which is high for poor quality Chinese food. Excellent! We have lived here almost two years searching for a good Chinese place as our go to. I've stayed away because of the bad reviews. So sorry I've passed up trying it. Today I ordered crab Rangoon egg rolls and general tsos chicken with fried rice. Crab Rangoon was flavorful and crisp. Egg rolls were crispy not crunchy, best I have had. Generals Chicken was hot and had a sneaky heat to it. The chicken part was the typical inexpensive kind but was cooked perfectly. Will be my go to Chinese place. read more

The absolute best Chinese food you can get. We go here at least twice a week. They make it exactly how I like it every time!! We get the General Tso and chicken lo Mein extra spicy and it is perfect every time. The management is so polite and remembers us every time. The crab rangoons were my favorite but now they about break my teeth.. The service is about the only thing good about this place unfortunately. They are always soooo nice. Okay I have no idea what the past people were paid to post positive reviews! But here is the truth. Good Chinese is hard to find in the south! AND you will not find it here! I had the chicken and shrimp with veggies. There was no broccoli tops! JUST stock. Big pieces of carrot. ALL next to raw! Chicken was okay but maybe 3 shrimp. I have frequented this establishment for many years now but sadly it's time to move on. As others have stated the food is very bland. The general tso chicken was inedible and the pork spareribs were tough and flavorless. On the positive side they didn't find a way to ruin the wonton soup so I gave them one star. Will throw out the rest of this food after eating just a little of it. Was convenient to have a Chinese restaurant on this side of Kernersville for us but I guess we'll have to drive elsewhere for our Chinese food. read more
