Moo goo Gai pan
Regina E.

We have visited this restaurant a few times and that best it's been mediocre. I ordered moo goo gai pan, fresh shrimp fried rice, one fried pork dumplings. It was bagged as I came in to pick up. So I paid for and brought our dinner home. I have to say that the food was not edible. 1st the broth was very dark and tasted as if the mo soup was cooked too long or coming out of the bottom of the pan. The stir fried shrimp was not cooked thoroughly and we had to refry the dinner to feel safe and eating it. The fried pork dumplings where slightly seared on one side and the rest of the dump thing was doughy. Oh and my egg roll was soft and covered with grease. I did not eat the food and plan to return it in the am. So very unacceptable should have never been boxed for take out. Sadly I will not be eating at China Cafe in Kernersville it was conveniently locate but I would rather drive to a good distance, then patron this establishment. Usually leave positive messages on Yelp....... Love this app. I can not come up with much. Would not recommend to anyone. Thanks, Regina

China Cafe is my go to place when I don't feel like cooking for the family. Good Chinese comfort food with generous portions. Even my teenage boys get filled up. Very friendly service.

This is some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I thought I just had bad luck the last time I…read moreordered so I gave them another try. That was a mistake. The egg rolls were mushy on the outside and the pork inside wasn't fresh... it hadn't expired... it just wasn't fresh. Maybe cooked this morning or even yesterday. The General Tso Chicken was made with low quality chicken. My wife actually spit it out it had so much chewy gristle. The sauce (which was supposed to be spicy had no bite. The broccoli wasn't lightly blanched... it was raw. The pork fried rice had no pork, didn't look fried, had a few undercooked frozen vegetables, and no egg. The pork lomein was the best single item... but I'd still give it a 2 out of 10. If the food was good I can forgive the esthetic of a mostly takeout restaurant... but given the horrible food the atmosphere was the icing on the cake. It's been years since Covid had us putting plastic barriers between us. Three unrelated items for sell. There is a candy vending machine (maybe to save people from purchasing dessert?). There is no culturally aligned Chinese music. And not surprisingly, there is no smell of food being cooked to order. I'm thankful for the pleasant weather because something tells me the HVAC wouldn't be on. Avoid this restaurant. I'll be driving to Greensboro next time I want some average Chinese food over this disgusting joke. I honestly have no idea how their Yelp average is 3 Stars. I'm recommending to Chef Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares!

We've had amazing Chinese food in San Francisco Chinatown when we lived there during our post…read moregraduate studies, and have to say this place measures up! Best we've had yet in the Triad area by a long shot. First off, the online ordering process is super easy, and the estimated time for pick up was spot on. Highly recommend ordering online beforehand. The place was slammed, packed in like sardines on a Saturday evening. Everyone waiting for orders, and even if you don't order prior, the wait would still be worth it. This place was a well oiled machine, everyone knowing exactly what to do and how to pump out stellar authentic Chinese food quickly and efficiently. Flavorful dishes, authentic spices and sauces, juicy meat, perfectly cooked noodles and rice...you name it, this place does it right. Crispy scallion chicken is the bomb! Each and every other dish we had was top notch, including the pork egg foo young, chicken lo mein, house special fried rice (chicken pork and shrimp). And can't leave out the perfectly fried pork egg rolls...taste overload. Can't wait to come back and try more of this amazing and truly authentic Chinese joint.

We had the hunan roast pork and vegetable lo mein, and both servings were generous in quantity. The flavor and quality of ingredients was very good. The egg rolls were crispy and large, and based on my experience working in a Chinese restaurant years ago, I suspect their egg rolls are made in house.
