Worst food. Ordered chicken chow mein and thought it was the wrong item. They delivered a new one and it's the same. Some weird mush on rice, not noodles. The Maki veggie rolls.. it comes with a mango/avocado, cucumber/avocado, and a veggie roll. The veggie roll is also cucumber avocado. They tasted fine, but it was 2 of the same rolls, not a veggie one. Mediocre all around for the other items we got as well. Nice staff though. read more

Lets start off by saying, I've lived here most of my adult life and let me say the same selection of take out still exist today as it did 35 years ago the only difference is the China Palace has slid almost to the bottom of the pack with McDonalds coming in dead last. Mc Donalds was a gift from the corrupt town council. You all have noticed there is no other fast food or other chain restaurant. Ask yourself why? You get the picture. There is NOT one time something isn't missing from our order. I don't know about you by Chinese food sucks cold and thats what happens to everyone else's food when you got to drive 3 miles thru traffic each way to get the rest of the meal. Maybe the owner's daughter should get a set of eye glasses to check the bags before they are picked up??? Or maybe we should have other choices for take out except for Chinese and pizza in a township of 28,000 people... (town officials)??? This isn't rocket science 1. Take order 2. Cook food 3. Place in bag 4. Double check accuracy against order 5. Collect payment. Don't feel bad your brethren across the street (MsDonalds) are at least twice as bad about leaving stuff off the drive thru order as you are. You however are the worst in the Chinese food category. Ho hum! Ok well I guess China Palace is the best Chinese food around the area but that's not saying much considering the competition is lacking. The fried rice, wether or not pork, chicken or shrimp is different each time I ordered and the Shrimp and lobster sauce is bland. Need to spice it up with lots of hot mustard to get it to taste like anything. Shame that you have to go all the way to PF Chang's in AC if you want a good Chinese food experience. I am so disgusted right now. ‍ I have left several reviews for China Palace in the past several years. I keep giving them a chance to redeem their selves but they fail each time! I don't know why some people rave about the food because the only thing that's halfway decent is the cheese wontons. Once again I ordered two different types of sushi, and neither one was fresh! Yum, warm spicy tuna roll that smelled and so did the salmon in the Alaska roll. Yuck.! I also ordered the House Chow Fun. The noodles were so over cooked that it was like eating oatmeal and I couldn't find more than two baby shrimp and three little pieces of chicken! No taste at all! I asked for extra scallions, and there might have been seven or eight pieces of not fresh, but slimy scallions in it! Honestly it is the worst Chinese food and sushi I have ever eaten in over 50 years! I realize that we all have different taste, and to each his own but please my fellow Tuckertonians and summer people...Be food, smart and don't get sick like I did the last time I ate their food. I placed and order and she repeated back to me 3x, and before she hung up I repeated my order again. This was a delivery order, and I pre-tipped which was a big mistake. They usually forget something in my order and once again they did it again!!! We called and complained and instead of asking someone to run the item they forgot, they said come and get it, we did not see that fair. The food is always amazing and always tastes so fresh. The chicken doesn't taste or feel fake, the veggies have good taste and texture as well. Sushi is phenomenal and the employees are so nice and sweet. It took me forever to find a good Chinese place in town and I'd gladly eat here (or take out) every day if I had the money. read more

Not from this area but have been here a few times. The food was much better January 2022 then 5/7/22. The time of day should make a difference but my normal order was for dinner and is usually hot, halfway decent Chinese food. I ordered Saturday at lunchtime and the lady was sitting at a table making something that ended up being cheese filled noodles without gloves, she took my order handled money went into the kitchen and came out with my food. The cheese and noodles sat on the table with no one in the restaurant. After she gave me my food she went straight back to packing noodles with cheese (bare hands) It should have hit me before ordering that she was handling food. When I got to where I was going to eat, less than 5 minutes away. The food was warm and parts of it was cold. I know it's usually hot so I'm thinking it was lack of people and really no orders in the kitchen and they used cold rice. Needless to say I don't think I will order from here again. Sad because the pizza place next door has great food and I should have gone there. There's another place not that far north on 9 that was take out only and I couldn't remember the name so I picked this place. I have to go back to that place unless someone knows a better place in this area. My dogs did enjoy the boneless pork and the chicken from the main meal. read more

Very good takeout! We got the chicken shrimp broc and snow pea chef combo and added water chestnuts. Banging. It was the same light white sauce as moo goo gai pan. Everything tasted very fresh. Big shrimp and very tender. My boyfriend got the Hunan beef and it was amazing. I don't even know which one I liked better lol. His dish had lots of vegetables and the sauce was great. Amazing good Chinese food off the beaten track. Clean, nice inside although from the outside it looks like a typical strip mall place. Very good service and very accommodating - I asked them if they could make Orange Shrimp - they only had Orange chicken and I think beef on the menu - no problem - yummy! They moved from the log cabin by the lake to the Acme strip mall and they didn`t bring the roaches with them!...Clean,friendly,affordable. I always say,stick to your pizza & chinese once you`ve found one. Don`t experiment with alternating It usually never works.I found a great takeout further down south (Egg harbor),but when I crave chinese `in town` I don`t mind sitting down,old school with noodles & duck sauce.. Service ranges from friendly to hurried. There was one waitress who insisted they didn`t have iced-tea. She even went to back to `check`.Even though I had it the prior visit. Then I settled for hot tea and water,then another waitress brought out 3 iced teas to another table.Who did she `check` with?.My guess when she was doing all her texting in the back, she wasn`t checking in on iced tea. Food-better than most local takeouts and has a sushi bar on site. All in all,nice to have a quick local decent chinese (clean so far) and not in the greasy log cabin anymore. My family of four has always been very pleased with the service and consistently delicious food they provide. Their sushi is the best in the area, by far, and their cheese wontons are incredibly addicting. Let me preface this review by saying that I have lived all along east coast, including DC metro, north NJ, south NJ and Florida. Now this is probably 4th time i have gotten food from china palace and i have been meaning to write this for a while I can saying nothing but fabulos-O. FAVORITE CHINESE PLACE TO DATE EVER ,so much better than in DC and even north NJ. Why you ask? Well the woman owner is first of all so friendly and lovely to talk to and she listens to my special requests and every-time i get exactly what i ordered. Case in point: i like vegetables in brown sauce but usually its too sweet, i like it spicy and it comes out perfect, she even offers me brown rice and i have to say its the best brown rice i have ever had, perfect texture. Their moo shoo is also best i have had, full of color because there are actually lots of veggies including brocooli and others besides cabbage. The moo shoo is not overly sweet and they will make it spicy if you ask. Hot and sour is a winner and their homemade fried crispy noodles on side cannot be beat, because they are homemade. I just love coming home to see my family and getting take out here, its such a pleasant change to get great customer service with real people who are happy and love giving good products to the local people they serve. Oh and tonight why i am writing because i am so floored by something unexpectedly delicious i tried. So i ask her to make me vegetables in spicy sauce, but not sugary and perhaps with some ginger. Okay hard request i know. I asked for brown sauce but when i got there , she said oh cook made white sauce by mistake, its spicy is that okay, Well i thought to myself okay sarah, you eat same thing all the time, and as a kid i used to love moo goo gai pan, i cant remember the last time i had white sauce, but perhaps cook was reading my mind because the GINGER FLAVOR WAS BANGIN, i was in heaven eating this lovely gingery dish and my body was grateful for the extra spice appeal. It was a new taste explosion for me which means i will be back to try some new things soon, maybe next time chicken with black bean sauce and scallion pancakes. Surprisingly good Chinese takeout! While visiting some relatives in the area, and not in the mood to cook dinner, we looked at our choices for takeout. No offense to residents of Tuckerton/Little Egg Harbor, but this area is pretty much a barren wasteland when it comes to culinary outings. Who am I kidding, pretty much all of Ocean County has very little to offer outside of Italian food. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the pu pu platter appetizer, some egg drop & wonton soup, house special lo mein, chicken with mixed veggies, and the happy Buddha house specialty entree. We even got a free quart of pork fried rice since we hit $35 and had a coupon from their website. The food was ready in 20 minutes, and we had no problems with accuracy. The food was good, most of it better than I was expecting. My only complaint is that it looks like their website is well maintained, yet the prices didn't quite match up to what was listed online, and I didn't get an itemized receipt to check it against. I suppose it's alright, since it was just a few bucks. But do the math and keep it in mind when you pay, if you notice a big discrepancy. read more

I'm writing this review March 2018. Ever since they moved to a new location in town, it's gone downhill. The girl that answers the phone is extremely rude, ignorant, and unprofessional. I think if you're going to put a customer on hold, and then talk badly about what they're asking to order, you should probably make sure they can't hear what you're saying. They have also delivered the wrong food to me after waiting an hour for delivery. This place used to be semi decent but now they're not even close. Get nicer employees and that might change. read more

Do yourself a favor and try the pan-seared garlic wontons for an appetizer. The portion is quite large, and they are mouthwatering.

This was our go-to chinese takeout place for YEARS. The food is always hot and tasty. Eating in the dining area is always a lovely experience. My favorite was the House Special Chop Suey. Haven't been here in a long time, but its still a great place. read more
