Nice place. Reasonably priced. Since it's a. oyster restaurant I decided on an oyster po boy. It was quite good, it missing a spicy sauce Came with homemade chips & coleslaw Big amounts of food. Big place , lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Full bar

I was here many years ago and was not impressed so did not return until recently. In the interim, it was visited by Guy Fieri and the DDD crew and our dining partners like the mussels here so we tried it again. The food generally was just ok. The clams casino and class Mexicali were passable but not particularly flavorful. The octopus in the octopus salad was rubbery rather than tender. The oyster po' boy was the anomaly and was delicious, full of oysters and a nice remoulade. The staff was either dense in the head or rude trying to seat a disabled person in a power chair in an already crammed corner of a full dining room rather than in the very empty adjacent room. The place needs a thorough cleaning (floors super sticky) and the rest rooms are not accessible although there is a hidden one somewhere on site as was discovered but it was found to be without any heat on this 40F day. Nice views of the marsh.

Recently dined here on a weekday for a birthday dinner. Family of 5 dining with some picky eater teens who enjoyed their dining experience and meals. Something on the menu for all of us with our teens wanting to return to try other things! Food was delicious with large portion sizes. We did get there in time for the early bird special which was a great price for what it included. Our server Mary was pleasant and attentive. Looking forward to a future visit.

Interesting place to eat in. The hostess looks like you owe her a million. Food is odd and different. They also have sushi. Dishes are salty. Octopus tastes rubbery. I do like the Irish coffee and the key-lime pie, although Irish coffee doesn't look as good. Doubt we would come back again.

Quick and easy service. Was seated promptly on a Saturday night. My server was Taylor, she was very helpful on assisting me navigate the extensive menu. Besides their regular menu, they have a daily specials menu. Lots of sushi and steak food dish options but also some steaks, salads and burgers on the menus. I had the seared sea scallops that were amazing and a really good and hearty spicy yellowfin tuna dish. The crème brûlée was very good as well. Food came out very quick and the place was full but not too bad.

Awesome food at a place tucked in the middle of nowhere with a big menu and great seafood and views definitely recommend

We had a great lunch here on Saturday. They have a lovely screened porch outdoor eating area that was very popular. Our group was in an indoors kinda of mood because it was so hot out so we sat at a table in the bar area which has great atmosphere. The mussels in the white sauce caught my eye and I'm so glad I got them. The chorizo is chopped up so it mixes into the broth which has a nice hint of heat and was delicious. The tomatoes and spinach were fresh as were the mussels. The bread and the toast were perfect for sopping up the sauce! I was in the mood for a crab cake and I asked the waitress which one do I want and she said the Parmesan one. We were right to trust her. The sauce was delicious and the crab cake was tasty and had plenty of crab in it. My bf had the clams casino and a burger both of which he thoroughly enjoyed. Would love to go again.

This restaurant is No. 6 on our way through the Nj.com's best 35 Old School Restaurants, so on our quest to countdown to No. 1, we took a long ride Saturday for lunch. It was worth the ride! I had the clams casino appetizer and the clams were fresh and it was tasty and delicious. I had a cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly and was very juicy and tasty. The bun is perfect for the burger and the fresh potato chips on the side were very good. We really enjoyed this one, and I recommend it.

An absolute gem tucked down a long road that ends at the waterway offering the best seafood around. Due to my meetings, we had to arrive at 4pm versus 5:30pm. Uhhhhh, great timing because it was early bird time and Customer Appreciation time. The Appreciation menu is set at $32 and you get to choose so many options for appetizers and entrees. It's hard to believe that the combo platter and tuna dishes are included. Truly, thank you to the owners here. My order consisted of the mussels in wine sauce , tomatoes, onions and other goodies; the mixed grill combo with salmon, 2 huge shrimp, 2 big scallops and a nice portion of seared tuna with wild rice. I added their house salad for an extra $3. Absolutely worth it. Hubby ordered mussels with marinara sauce, spicy tuna with shrimp and the house salad. The food is absolutely prepared to perfection! Every piece of fish is perfectly cooked. Who else hates overcooked shrimp and fish?? And the simpleness of the green beans is nice as well. The wild rush seemed a little mushy to me but it could be that I'm not experienced in eating wild rice. Regardless, it tastes good. Our waiter was kind and patient. No issues with the service but we're we supposed to get bread? So, support this local business. It's amazing! Boats pull right up to the restaurant. Love this! Gravel parking lot with plenty of spaces. Working backwards, the mussels too are tender sitting in the brew of white wine, garlic, tomatoes, onions and bits of sausage. Delicious! Others at the table went off the menu with a cup of bisque and fried oysters with Cole slaw and french fries. It looked to have plenty of seasoned fries and not a lot of oysters. They said they were good though. What a memorable dinner as this is our first visit here while visiting family. We will definitely be back.

He never did. He saw us sitting at the table and 15 minutes went by with no menus so I walked all the way upstairs to get them and that's when I found out our name was still on the wait list. Brought our menus down, another 10 minutes goes by as our Rose' gets warmer with no wine glasses, no offer of water, nothing. Finally able to order, appetizer was put in wrong, was supposed to get the little neck clams with butter but got the zuppa di clams. Also, they did not serve little necks, these were cherry stones!! Finished them anyway and as the server came to take them away, he dropped the shell bowl onto the bowl with the clam broth and all over my jacket it went!! Main meal was very good, although we waited way too long and didn't get our meal until over an hour after being seated. They don't have enough staff to have both inside and outside seating and outside should have someone in charge keeping an eye on things there. Our server kept forgetting us and others, but hard to blame a kid all by himself trying to handle it all outside. SMH Don't bother going unless maybe inside service was better.

Service was just ok because our server was hard to find. She was polite, but either new or distracted by whatever was going on inside. I got the dry rub Caribbean wings: really good. The burger was taller than the distance my teeth could spread, so you might have to eat it both in customary hand position and upside down. It was chill when we were here but I can see how this place could get rowdy if a lot of bikers come.

Initially, things seemed promising as everyone placed their orders and most of the group received their meals fairly quickly. Unfortunately, another family member and I, who had both ordered the same entrée, were left waiting. Approximately 20 minutes later, when the rest of our party was nearly finished eating, our server informed us that the restaurant was out of tuna and that we would need to choose something else. It was very disappointing that it took so long for us to be notified. I ultimately ordered the mahi tacos, but they lacked flavor and were quite underwhelming. I attempted to ask for Tabasco sauce, but our server did not return to our table for quite some time to check on us. When she finally came back, I ordered another Tito's and soda and asked if it could be made as a double because my first drink tasted mostly like club soda. She informed me that the drink I had already been consuming was a double, which was surprising given the taste. At that point, I switched to water. Several others in our group were also disappointed with their meals and did not enjoy their selections. Between the long delay, poor communication, inattentive service, and disappointing food, the overall experience fell well short of expectations. Unfortunately, I do not plan to return.

The place was beautiful but it does get crazy right at open for happy hour at the bar so make sure youre there early if you want that. There's literally a line waiting... We started off with the Shrimp Ceviche. It was super flavorful and tasted very fresh. Then we got the Grilled Octopus and it was FABULOUS! The flavor just encased your mouth when you take a bite. Its not overly chewy and the beans underneath made a great addition to each bite you took. I had NEVER tried oysters before and I finally mustered up the courage and tried one and im glad i did. It was delicious and im so glad they allow you to try just one so you don't waste money if its not your thing. The server was so nice to offer because I told her id never tried one. After that we tried the Maine and Manhattan Chowders. Both were super yummy and had a great taste and a good amount of clams.... another thing I had never tried before... WORTH IT. Then came the main course. I got the Flounder and Crab while my boyfriend got the Brazino. Both were so delicious and so light and yummy. I honestly can't say one thing i did not like about the food at this place. It was all so good. To finish off dinner, we got the Creme Brulee and an English Coffee to share. Again AMAZING. Happy Hour Review…read more Preface: My wife and I were visiting AC to celebrate her birthday. As frequent visitors to AC, I'm a bit embarrassed that we've never been before but here we are. Before I get into the details, I'll simply say this place is SPECTACULAR!!! I was thoroughly impressed by the ambience, food, relative affordability (for seafood), and customer service. Additionally, we were so impressed that we came back the next day for another Happy Hour! This will be a long winded review because Dock's deserves the accolades and future potential diners! Oyster on the Half Shell ($1.50 each): Incredible, clean tasting oysters. I prefer a brinier oyster but I can't ignore the quality and freshness.. It was served with lemon, horseradish, and a homemade vinegar mixture. I asked for tabasco on the side. As mentioned earlier, I do prefer a brinier oyster but these oysters were a clean palate for you to customize as you please. Regardless of your oyster preference, order a few to start off your experience. Broiled Oysters ($1.75 each): There were two options: Rockefeller or Champagne Leak. We only ordered 2 (Champagne Leak) because we wanted to explore more of the Happy Hour Menu. The broiled oysters were presented on the half shell with what looked like a creamy leek infused sauce. Beautiful flavor! Fried Oysters ($1.75 each): They offered 4 different types: plain, buffalo, parmesan, and wasabi encrusted. I loved them all. We ordered 2 of each and it was served with tartar sauce. All 4 offered different flavor profiles. The Plain sounds boring but it's the perfect vessel for you to dress it as you please. The Parm was one of my favorite bites here. It was breaded, fried, and topped off with cheese and red sauce. It was fabulous. I can't give an honest review of the Wasabi and Buffalo fried oyster as my palate was bombarded with multiple plates, condiments, and drinks at the same time. Fried Calamari ($7.25): Simple, fresh, delicious. Although fried, it didn't come out greasy. Simple breading or flour dusted and fried served with lemon and cocktail sauce. No curve balls with this fried calamari. Lobster Mac and Cheese ($11): Beautifully presented Mac and Cheese served on top of a half split lobster. Great traditional casserole style Mac and Cheese (in taste, not presentation). Bits of lobster incorporated as well. It's a nice change of pace from oysters galore.I understand it's lobster but for the most expensive item on the Happy Hour Menu, I expected a little bit more meat. Tuna Tacos ($7.75): Star of the Show! Raw tuna chunks are diced and served in crispy wonton tacos. The crispy wonton had an incredible crunch. Wonderful upfront flavor but it doesn't stop there. There are back notes of something I can't pinpoint...a touch of wasabi and/or sesame oil??? I honestly can't tell you but it brings such a complexity to the dish. This is a must order. Even if you don't like raw fish, please do yourself a favor and try it! My favorite bite of 2026!! Ambience: old school but upgraded and grand design. Beautifully stocked upstairs and downstairs bar. The pianist played classic music. Customer Service: although we weren't seated. The bartender accommodated us to stand on the side of the bar, he told us it was against policy to serve food to standing customers (understandable) but he obliged. The bartender's name was Joe. Excellent bartender/server. Overall: we were so impressed we told ourselves that we had to come back the next day and we did. Day 2 food reviews below. TOTAL: $141.58 + $30 tip, 4 alcoholic drinks ordered. Day 2 Food Review House made Meatballs ($6.25): Great choice if you want to switch up away from seafood. Great presentation with 3 meatballs drenched in red sauce and topped with a Parmesan crisp. Overall it was tasty but I prefer a slightly sweeter red sauce. Deviled Eggs ($6.25): The Deviled Eggs here are topped off with a fried oyster. I'm a huge texture guy and traditionally deviled eggs are a mushy hot mess but here the crispy fried oyster is the perfect contrast. Served with a honey drizzle. Will order again! Clams Casino ($6.50): Clams topped off with charred red and green bell peppers and bacon. Aesthetically beautiful and colorful. More importantly, it was delicious. Notes of bacon are felt but surprisingly the charred peppers come through with a slight sweet profile. Mini Crab Cakes ($7.75): Traditional crab cake with a red pepper sauce. Good serving size, good amount of crab, and very little filler inside. No frills, must order. Steam Mussels Marinara ($8.75): Mussels served over a red sauce. Served with garlic bread on the side. The garlic bread was the unsung hero of this dish. Great garlic and butter flavor. The bread stands tall against the flavorful mussels and red sauce. Customer Service: Harry was our barbartender and looked like he was enjoying his time. All the staff truly provided great service. Total: $181.17 + $40 tip, 6 alcoholic drinks ordered.

We have been to it plenty of times in our over 30 years of visiting AC and we have never been disappointed. The ambiance is cosy with nautical themed items decorating the walls. They have limited seating in the small establishment, with the best option being sitting at the counter at the window to people watch while enjoying your seafood items. We are always greeted by pleasant staff. They have daily specials and feature a seafood case filled with a variety of fresh seafood items that you can literally pick and they will prepare in store or you can choose to purchase to go. Our go to is the flounder and fish platter, which comes with house made slaw and fries, and either a side of fried clams or oysters. The platter also comes with a canned soda, which you get to pick the flavor choice from the beverage case. We always enjoy our food in store and are always luck enough to grab a few seats. The flounder and shrimp platter was fresh and crispy, with a light coating that did not take away from the delicate taste of the fish and shrimp. The slaw was fresh and an ok side. The fries were crispy and nothing was greasy. The oysters were fried well and when bitten, popped with a nice, fresh taste. And don't worry my MD folks, they have Old Bay to dust your food (which I really appreciate!). We suggest coming as soon as they open or call your order in ahead of time to avoid the long line that forms. All in all, our go to seafood spot when visiting AC.
