Been wanting to try this Chinese restaurant. The food did not disappoint. Picked up a luncheon special of cashew chicken, fried rice and chicken teriyaki all for under $10 (and I have enough left over for dinner tonight ) NOTE: they are closed from 2:30-3:30 so employees can have a meal break (due to staffing shortage) UPDATE: I can only assume that MSG is used in food prep. Approx 20 minutes after eating my meal I started with my adverse side effects that I have when MSG is in food. read more

Do not buy the boneless ribs. I have ordered them 4 times. The first time they were awesome! So I purchased them again and was disappointed. They were hard. Couldn't chew them at all. I gave them to my dog. I tried them a third time three months later and again they just don't know how to cook them so they are tender. A family member brought them home to surprise me a 4th time. Nice gesture but again they were hard and given to the dog. Don't buy the boneless ribs! Go into Rochester. The Dynasty has great boneless ribs. read more

I stopped by New China Pond in Milton for lunch takeout recently. They moved out of the space next door to Cumberland Farms to a new building diagonally across the road at 584 White Mountain Hwy. This is a typical small town Chinese restaurant which is geared towards takeout with a few tables for eating in. They share an indoor seating area with Natasha's Sweets & Eats, which has a counter across the small room. I ordered the L3 Pork Lo Mein ($9.25 plus tax) served with choice of rice (I chose pork fried rice) and choice of appetizer (I chose 2 beef teriyakis). My food was ready in about 5 minutes after ordering. The portion of food was modest. The lo mein had soft noodles, bean sprouts, onion, snow pea, sliced mushrooms, and tender pieces of pork, oily texture. The dark fried rice had very small pieces of pork in the mix, which was decent. The beef teriyaki sticks had chewy beef with a good sweet flavor. Overall, the food was pretty decent here. read more

This was my first time stopping by China Pond. After seeing an old friend in the area and talking about the restaurant. Now I'm thinking asian food for supper. So off we go to China Pond. Apparently it's mostly a takeout place with only two booths for setting down and eating. The view of the lake is wonderful so we ordered our food for takeout and sat down. The waitstaff were very friendly and the menu is about the same as most other Asian restaurants. Around five people walked in and picked up their food and that's a good sign. When our food was ready we grabbed the food and a takeout menu. Off we went home. The food was fantastic even Miss Kitty ‍ loved it. We are so happy to have China Pond back in Milton. This is a regular treat for our family. Good size portions, great service. We usually call in and pickup. There are a few tables with a nice view to sit and eat inside. My favorites are the veggie spring rolls, house Lo Mein with curry sauce and chicken wings (yes, really). Nothing to write home about, its your typical small town Chinese restaurant. The restaurant itself has a few tables, but its much more of take out place. The food itself is OK, if you don't want to leave town, but there is SO much better just within 5-10 miles of this place. The service is decent enough, not overly friendly, but not rude. The food is bland, the rice is always dry and the spare ribs are always either super fatty or burnt. Prices are relatively cheap, you definitely get what you pay for with this establishment. read more

Typical of small town Chinese restaurants. Though it has a table or two, it would be too cramped to eat in. Primarily take-out fare. It's consistent and close by, so we've bought food here many times. Friendly staff who are happy to customize the ingredients on your order. Otherwise, wholly unremarkable. read more

Aesthetically it's a small town family owned chinese place, and it's certainly small on the inside- it's take out. This little restaurant is great. The lady was very friendly and helpful. They were quick with my order but they could turn down the volume of the music a little. It is mostly a takeout restaurant even though they have a couple of tables. The food was very good and I look forward to ordering from here in the future. read more

I Love this place the owners are so nice and they make there food fresh on spot. No cold buffet left overs or made ahead stuff. The food is made when you order it. It is always so good I give this place 5 stars I just wish they would have a bigger restaurant for eating in and maybe a buffet. read more

I went there with my friend in order to get food big enough for my husband and I, he and his wife, and his two kids. So six people in total. The resteraunt was extremely loud. Not only did they have a fan going, and all of the kitchen sounds filtering out into the dining room, but they had a drink machine that was literally shaking. The woman had to shout to hear us, and kept cutting us off to answer the phone and disappear into the back. After a fifteen minute wait, we finally placed our order, and were told the wait time would be ten minutes. We waited forty minutes. We ordered a dinner plate (General Tso), a family combo (the orange chicken), egg drop soup, beef lo mein, an order of chicken spring rolls, and crab Rangoon. The spring roll had next to no meat in it. It literally became a fight to find any meat what so ever, and it literally dripped grease. The egg drop soup was dirty looking, the broth cloudy and had steamed mushrooms floating in the top. It was bland, and sour tasting. I gave it a good few sips to try it, and was absolutely disgusted. When we received the food, the sizes were horrendously small for the price we paid. All in all, we paid more that thirty-five dollars, and receive half a bowl of rice, a bit of chicken, and disgusting sides. It was unbelievably expensive for poor quality and small servings. Heed my advice, don't waste your money. read more
