Meat was meat was very soggy you can tell it was sitting over the sitting time when everything was supposed to be freshly made

I wouldn't order from here again it has went down hill after 2 years of me moving back the quality of the food is not even worth a one star comes out very slimy and soggy. Rice is very disgusting and old egg shows as if it's been sitting Please don't order the crab Rangoon's It's more cream cheese, no crab at all., and most of all the package, everything separately. The service is horrible also the manager gets an attitude when you tell her about the horrible food and thinks it's ok to start a sentence off with first off. Service shows very argumentative. I feel like OSHA needs to go in and temp. Check every item in there.

If your looking for inexpensive, great porpotion size and tasty Chinese food this is a great place to come. I have tried the Chicken Lomein, Magnolia Beef and Orange chicken and have not been disappointed with those selections. The egg drop soup is good however I will definitely give the fried rice a negative its pretty much the white rice with alot of soy sauce..The service is okay they definitely need a few more people one person handles the phone orders and sits you so it was a little wait with no one really being in there. Not much of an ambiance inside the sitting area.

Decent Chinese food in a strip center in Humble. Lots of food. Fills you up quickly.

Shrimp and vegetables

Just placed an order for shrimp and vegetables. The shrimp was raw and mushy, not to mention the fried rice appeared to be thrown on the dish. I tried calling and resolving the issue and was told to wait until the manager got in; which would be 4:30p.m. No thanks !!! I'll take my business elsewhere. My advice, if you have a delivery, please check your food make sure you aren't being served raw food. And as far as the review, you don't deserve one star!! I had to give you that!

Decent Chinese food in the Humble area is scarce so China River was a great find. The prices are good, the portions are ample and the food is cooked to order so that means hot and fresh.... It is located in small business plaza behind Olive Garden so if you blink, you might miss the signage. I met the owner while waiting on my food and had the opportunity to ask her about her food journey. She is very humble and I appreciated her taking the time to share with me. The Beef Fried Rice was ohh soo good!!! Will have to order extra green onions on the next go around. Overall good place and savory food.

My experience was terrible with who I'm pretty sure was the owner on August 19 at 8:50 right before closing. She was extremely aggressive and rude over to go cups of Sriracha when I had just had my birthday dinner on August 15th there and they gave us Sriracha too though. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, but I just think it's insane that she was talking to me the way she was over 2 ounces of Sriracha makes it really hard to really wanna eat there again and spend my money. Every Chinese/Asian restaurant that I went to have no problem supplying you with Sriracha and I know for a fact that a bottle of Sriracha is not five dollars, so for you to try to charge me for 2 to 4 ounces of Sriracha five dollars is insane... and telling me to put myself in your shoes as if I don't own a business myself and have a uncle that owns a restaurant in Houston is insane what was being insinuated.

Full of Yummilicious Cheese.

IYKYK - this is probably the best Peking Duck I've had in Houston in a long time. I've done Peking…read moreCuisine for years and shifted to Arco for my duck cravings, but if you're willing to drive out to Humble (pretty much anytime you're in the IAH area), you gotta check out Bamboo House for the best Peking duck. And their other menu items are fire as well! We went on a Sunday late evening. We had a 9 pm airport pickup at IAH so it was a perfect opportunity to grab a spectacular dinner and make the 30+ minute drive out to IAH totally worth it. Parking lot wasn't too full so that wasn't an issue. While the neighborhood ain't River Oaks luxury, it ain't too scary either. We kept it simple - ordered a whole duck and Bamboo House Special Noodle with Beef. This place ain't cheap but the food is worth every penny. It was very busy that evening so it's not a well-kept secret but also proves that eventually, Houstonians will figure out where the good food is. The duck was near perfect. They serve the duck with the pancakes (as opposed to the buns like at Arco) which is my preference. The soup that comes with it was also extremely flavorful. And the house special noodles with beef - oh my. I swear it's just one really long noodle so you may be frustrated trying to divvy up the family style bowl, but the labor is worth it. So good... Can't wait for my next airport run so I can sneak in a lunch or dinner at this place. So many other menu items I want to try!

I had previously visited the now closed Bamboo House on Westheimer and I remember being impressed by the food. I had to make an airport run and decided that it would be perfect timing to stop by this location. I highly recommend ordering the duck ahead of time, but we were lucky enough to snag one of the last ducks when we arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress was super friendly and upbeat and the restaurant is older but well maintained. You can see where the food is being prepared/cooked and you can see ducks being cooked/warmed behind a glass window. The duck was absolutely spectacular with the perfect seasoned and tender meat accompanied by well rendered crispy skin. I love how the pancakes are paper thin and pair well with the scrumptious duck and other toppings. They also provide sugar and plum sauce as additional toppings which I thought was interesting but not my cup of tea. The duck soup was extremely flavorful and full bodied and went well with the duck. The noodles were also amazing with likely hand pulled noodles served with an abundance of tender beef and vegetables with a little Sichuan kick. I was intrigued by a strawberry chicken dish that I saw on the menu and I plan to try it the time. My diagnosis: hands down the best Peking duck in the greater Houston area!

Left No Grain of Rice Behind (and Met a Track Star)…read more (10/10) My husband and I wandered into Imperial China on a quiet night - just us two lovebirds and the immaculately clean scent of... well, perfection. Seriously, the place smelled so fresh you could probably perform surgery in the dining room (don't worry, they stick to cooking, which is way more impressive). But the real MVP was Kendall She ran the register, served us, and basically orchestrated our entire evening with the grace of a future Olympic athlete... which, as it turns out, isn't far off! She mentioned she used to run track and is getting back into it. Let me tell you, that explains everything. The speed at which she refilled our water? Blink-and-you-miss-it. The efficiency of her service? Faster than the hurdles she used to jump over. We half-expected her to hand us our fortune cookies while doing hurdle drills over the chairs! Kendall, if you're reading this - you're amazing, and please save some gold medals for the rest of us mere mortals. Now, the FOOD. Oh. My. Wok. We're usually "leftover champions" at Chinese restaurants - it's practically our marital duty. But not this time. We ordered the Combination Fried Rice loaded with goodies) and the Hunan Chicken (spicy, savory, downright addictive). It was so unbelievably delicious, so flawlessly cooked, that we licked our plates clean. Seriously. Not a single grain of rice, not a stray pepper, not even a suspiciously saucy smudge escaped. Our dog is currently giving us the stink-eye because there were zero take-home boxes. Zero! Imperial China broke our leftover streak, and we're not even mad. And as if the universe was nodding along, our fortune cookie sealed the deal: Thursday will bring trust on your new journey." Considering our journey involved demolishing enough food for three people and meeting a future track legend, we'd say it's already pretty darn trustworthy! Overall 10 out of 10. Flawless cleanliness, food that made us abandon all dignity (and leftovers), service faster than Kendall's personal best, and a fortune that felt weirdly on-point. Imperial China, you've won our hearts, our stomachs, and our clean plate awards. We'll be back... probably on Thursday. Just in case.
