    Nice and clean!
    Sonny D.

Easter weekend 2025 we decided on Chinese for dinner. Our first time here and everything was really nice. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating should you decide to dine in. Simply use the IPad to check in, place your order and pay, very very easy to use. It was about a 4 minute wait for our to go order and the staff was friendly. They have a spin board for you to spin and win FREE food items. Our coconut chicken w/rice and Orange chicken w/pineapple rice was really, really good as was the Crab Rangoon. The dishes are of huge proportions and next time we will choose one dish to split. I'd say give them a try if you are wanting Chinese food.

I always get the general tsos chicken. I love how fresh the food tastes! Halal options a plus!! I like that you can ask for spice levels! I also ordered king pao shrimp this did not disappoint. Can't wait to order again!

Dinner combo is supposed to include soup but I was charged full price once I found that it wasn't with my order.

When I lived in Waterford, China Jade was my go-to for Chinese food. Since moving to West Bloomfield, I've been checking out the Chinese restaurants around here. So far, China Town has been my favorite. The thing I like best here is that they have brown rice. It's hearty and just tastes wholesome -- a nice complement to my favorite dish: sweet and sour chicken. But, there are some things that don't make sense to me, like their dinner "combinations." At the top of the page, it says that you get a choice of rice and soup, noodles are $2 and egg rolls or spring rolls are 90 cents. I ordered on the online app and chose the wonton soup and and an egg roll to go with the sweet & sour chicken. But when I got there, there was no soup, and when I ordered it, I was charged $3.95. I like that they don't use styrofoam in their packaging; they do use plastic, but at least it's reusable. I also like that they package the sauce separately from the chicken so it doesn't get soggy. However, since there is nothing else with the chicken, it's basically chicken nuggets. When I got home, I added carrots, sweet red peppers and cucumbers, which, in years gone by, were always in sweet & sour dishes, along with pineapple. I do wish the restaurants would add these thing back in. As others have said, they give good portions for the price. I will definitely continue going there.

I am very surprised with this place's 3.5 star rating. It is truly a little gem of a Chinese restaurant! I have eaten here and done takeout numerous times and have never been disappointed. It is family run and everyone working here is always kind and helpful. The food is always authentic tasting. The ambience is cozy. I have had most of their soups and the hot and sour is my favorite! The noodles are always on point. Try the udon! I love their orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The sweet and sour chicken has the perfect crunchy coat and the sauce is perfection. The menu is overall quite vast and you can get whatever you're feeling - noodles, chicken, beef, vegetarian options. This is a family favorite!

First time to this restaurant. Was extremely excited they were very nice over the phone. Looking for our home asian restaurant. This is not the place Dumplings thin, dry and flavorless Honey chicken was cooked so much the chicken inside was hard as a rock and the broccoli was under cooked. Try it for yourself. I will not

My mom and I have been eating here since I was in the fifth grade, so a little over a decade. Currently, whatever cook and recipes they're using had me yelling "WOW! WTH! THIS IS SO GOOD." They went through a few years where the food was questionable but right now, without a doubt, this is the best place to get Chinese food in walled lake area. My mom orders the almond chicken religiously and this is the first time that the gravy not only transported us to Thanksgiving Dinner but also allowed us to taste the actual nuts in the sauce. I ordered the Honey Chicken and I don't think I'll ever order something different. You truly taste the honey and it's not like a burnt or over cooked honey flavor, it's a stick around because fresh honey was poured all over kind of flavor. The white rice was sticky and very plump.

I stopped in and asked how long a carryout order would take. I was told 20-25 minutes, so I ordered two shrimp tacos, two chicken tacos, and a chicken pizza. I let them know I would wait in my car and asked them to call me when my order was ready. After waiting 30 minutes without a call, I went back inside and noticed several tables that had been seated after I placed my order had already received their food. I asked the gentleman at the register about my order, and after checking, he told me it was only halfway done. I asked how much longer it would be, and after checking again, he said about another eight minutes. While I was waiting, yet another table that had arrived well after I placed my order was served. I mentioned to the waitress that this didn't seem right, and her response was simply, "That's just how long it takes." I explained that if carryout was actually going to take 45 minutes, I should have been told that upfront. I would never have chosen to wait that long. What disappointed me most wasn't just the delay--it was the lack of communication and the lack of concern. A sincere apology or an honest update would have gone a long way. I genuinely wanted to support a local business that was asking for community support, but unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be returning.

I've been here three times and it has always been good, especially the salsa, but the food preparation times are slow. The first time I was there, I just assumed it was because they had recently opened, but it seems to just be consistently slow. Something to be aware of if you are used to traditional taqueria speeds. They seem to be aware of this and I will give them the benefit of assuming it has something to do with the quality of the food. Give it time and it will be well worth the wait.

A friend was babysitting for us tonight and we finally got to try it ... it definitely lived up to my expectations! We started off with the smoked Old Fashioned for my husband - $45 so a bit pricey, but the presentation was super nice - and a cocktail for me. We got the tableside Caesar salad - again pricey, $20 per person and if it's for two people you can get it tableside (which was REALLY cool btw) but if for 3+ people I don't think you can. They literally roll out this huge cart to make it though and it was pretty neat. I had the mushroom pasta with filet mignon tips and it was great; my husband had the sausage pasta which I also liked. We weren't planning on getting dessert (I think, haha - I was pretty full, at least), but we got the tiramisu and the tiramisu drink for my husband (I was driving). Both were very good - the tiramisu isn't large by any means but is enough for 1-2 people. The drink comes with a huge ladyfinger on top. Overall I was very impressed by the food, atmosphere, and waitstaff here - it's not an inexpensive place ($40 for two salads is a bit pricey!) but everything was fabulous, and I definitely want to return at some point. There's also a wine bar next door, I believe, and I didn't know that Prime 29, Nara, and a few other local restaurants are all in the same restaurant group/ownership as Aurora.

We both tossed out options and settled on this location of Aurora (no nachos here). My friend shared that the other location used to be Matter of Taste, a restaurant that sadly was on my to-try list. I loved the ambiance here: florals cascading from the ceiling, plants wrapped with twinkle lights, lush comfy chairs, and servers all in teal velvet jackets. This is the type of place one wants to make an effort for, spending more time selecting that perfect outfit. I had peeked at the menu online before the visit, and there was no question I would get seafood pasta. It had both the pasta that I was seeking and, of course, the seafood that I prefer. The tender linguine was topped with mussels, calamari, shrimp, and clams. My friend had the pasta with organic chicken and speck, in a cream sauce. That dish looked fantastic, as well. I ordered truffle Parmesan fries to start. I enjoyed them with the garlic mayo. She had the arancini in a pool of tomato sauce and fresh basil. We both opted for dessert, crème brûlée for me and a multi-layer carrot cake for her. Service was stellar. Our server shared her recommendations and checked in with us throughout our meal. The only drawback: There was a delay in parking as the valet blocked and stopped every vehicle before allowing those who preferred to self-park in. I think it's their sales technique.

When looking at the grill behind him, it was coated in tin foil, which looks nasty. If you don't want to clean the grill, then don't be open. We ordered and went to look for a table, and with no one in there, you would think it would be easy to find something, but no, there was dirty trays with half-eaten food on several tables. When we did find a table, it was sticky and I had to wipe it down just to sit there. Once we were sat, we looked at the silverware, and it was all dirty looking and unwrapped in a wooden-looking tray on the table. Also nasty. Our food came out, and it was underwhelming. My breast and wing were the size of my palm but the leg and thigh my wife got was very good looking. The yuca fries were the best thing we got, they were crispy and well cooked. Once we finished out meal, we each went to the restroom and those were NASTY! Water everywhere, the door handles were dirty and sticky, and I didn't want to touch anything in there. I finally made it on a free morning, just in time for an early lunch. On the day of my visit, it was cold and wet, so outdoor dining was out of the question. Just inside is a large deli counter with items available for take-out. Beyond that was a large and stylish dining room, where diners enjoyed the last of their breakfasts. I was a smidge earlier than everyone else for lunch; the dining room filled up soon afterwards. I loved the huge menu - there were so many options for soups, salads (Maurice, Greek, and Cobb, to name a few), sandwiches (Reuben's, triple deckers, and even vegetarian), burgers and hot dogs, breakfasts (omelettes, waffles, and French toast), and deli classics. I opted for the Victor Special, extra cut, which included larger portions of both corned beef and pastrami, coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. The thinly-sliced meat was indeed piled high at the center. For my side, I had wanted the onion rings, but they were already sold out! Instead, I went with the hash browns; they were crispy with a mashed potato-like interior. In retrospect, I should have tried some of the foods I've enjoyed from my hometown: knishes, blintzes, latkes; I'm now dreaming of meals I've had in my past. Being a higher end steak house, prices at this business are on the higher end of the spectrum to include their cocktails. Aside from the drinks, they also offer some tasty looking food options where one in particular caught my eye being the Filet Mignon Sliders (two each) which looked amazing as I watched the guy next to me devour his. I will definately be returning to try these in the very near future. They were furious that my elderly dad was "taking too long" to place his order for four people (he was not, at all) and acting like it's somehow our fault that they only have a single phone line. They then proceeded to promptly cancel my dad's order and shoo me out, all the while cussing at me in Mandarin, at which point I walked out of there (for the last time). You would do well to AVOID this place at all costs, trust. Not to mention, I've had their food more than a few times before, and it is not even NEARLY good enough to justify them being this nasty towards their patrons.
