Worst orange chicken I've had in my life. Paid $18 for regular size orange chicken and a drink.

Gotta admit I had high expectations after seeing 4 stars overall and reading a few of the reviews... but unfortunately this place was a big letdown. Their prices are the highest I've seen of every Chinese food restaurant in the area, and their portion size is about half of what you get elsewhere. Granted, their quality of chicken is SLIGHTLY better than your average Chinese restaurant, but the smaller portion size doesn't nearly warrant the $15 price tag... especially when you find out it only comes with a small side of white rice. And I hate to pile on this review, but the white rice was pretty bad; the rice around the edges was overcooked and dry, which ruined the rest of it. Every time I order from this place I am greeted by angry, disgruntled faces. If I ask a question, I am snapped at. It almost seems as if they don't WANT to be in the restaurant business because the busier they are, the more upset they are (counter-intuitive?). When I use the proper channels (place online ordering, look up hours on their website), it never works and I am barked at and told I need to be patient (I once was scolded because I "should not assume my food would be ready at the time I selected online. That's just an automatic software they have no control over"). For a family owned business that strives to build community, I've received nothing but ice cold communication and service. Veggie egg rolls are by far my fave. Food is super fresh, especially the vegetables. I like everything I've had from here except the sesame chicken. Sauce is okay but doesn't wow me. Wonton soup is one of the best I've ever had! And the vegetable fried rice is very good. Chicken wings are good as well but sometimes they miss a few feathers. Really really good food. Stumbled across this gem when quarantine first started and I was interested in Take out. I've had the fried rice (chicken), sweet and sour, and the general sous chicken. All of it was incredibly tasty and very fresh. Not too much breading or sauce. Just the right amount. Golden brown color and excellent crispy outside with tender chicken inside. I did not want to write this review, but I will because I feel as if the public need to know how Chef Cari runs her business. I have been a customer of Caris for years, we know each other from the community and I am ashamed as to how she handled this specific situation. We ordered a pan of general Tsoas chicken for the holidays and picked it up around 3pm and ate it at 6pm. The outside of the chicken was supposed to be crispy but instead, it was wet and soggy. The chicken inside was also overdone. We had guests and even they commented about how horrible and inedible it was. I have NEVER complained about her food before and assumed she would take care of the situation by giving me full or even half credit towards what we paid but instead she had her store manager tell us that we were the only ones who complained and they sold "many" of those pans that day. He said he can give me a couple egg rolls for free but instead I told him I'm not interested. Very upset at how she runs her business and will never take out from her again. Very unhappy customer here who got $60 worth of dog food and couldn't even enjoy or eat it. read more

Dissatisfied, once again. Ordered online for 505 pick-up. Arrived at 513, only to find that our order was still not ready. We had a large order - 7 entrees and a number of sides and soups. Only five of the entrees were ready, and none of the sides or soups. I was told by both the young man at the counter and by the woman serving the food that online orders are not guaranteed a time, as any walk-in or phone orders bump mine in the order. I said then what was the point of choosing a time? Finally, 25 minutes after our food was supposed to be done, the woman said it was ready. I had her open the bags and double check everything. She did, reassuring me that it was all there. We got home to find we were missing an egg roll order and that the chicken wings were the wrong kind.
