Easter weekend 2025 we decided on Chinese for dinner. Our first time here and everything was really nice. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating should you decide to dine in. Simply use the IPad to check in, place your order and pay, very very easy to use. It was about a 4 minute wait for our to go order and the staff was friendly. They have a spin board for you to spin and win FREE food items. Our coconut chicken w/rice and Orange chicken w/pineapple rice was really, really good as was the Crab Rangoon. The dishes are of huge proportions and next time we will choose one dish to split. I'd say give them a try if you are wanting Chinese food.

I always get the general tsos chicken. I love how fresh the food tastes! Halal options a plus!! I like that you can ask for spice levels! I also ordered king pao shrimp this did not disappoint. Can't wait to order again!

When I lived in Waterford, China Jade was my go-to for Chinese food. Since moving to West Bloomfield, I've been checking out the Chinese restaurants around here. So far, China Town has been my favorite. The thing I like best here is that they have brown rice. It's hearty and just tastes wholesome -- a nice complement to my favorite dish: sweet and sour chicken. But, there are some things that don't make sense to me, like their dinner "combinations." At the top of the page, it says that you get a choice of rice and soup, noodles are $2 and egg rolls or spring rolls are 90 cents. I ordered on the online app and chose the wonton soup and and an egg roll to go with the sweet & sour chicken. But when I got there, there was no soup, and when I ordered it, I was charged $3.95. I like that they don't use styrofoam in their packaging; they do use plastic, but at least it's reusable. I also like that they package the sauce separately from the chicken so it doesn't get soggy. However, since there is nothing else with the chicken, it's basically chicken nuggets. When I got home, I added carrots, sweet red peppers and cucumbers, which, in years gone by, were always in sweet & sour dishes, along with pineapple. I do wish the restaurants would add these thing back in. As others have said, they give good portions for the price. I will definitely continue going there.

I am very surprised with this place's 3.5 star rating. It is truly a little gem of a Chinese restaurant! I have eaten here and done takeout numerous times and have never been disappointed. It is family run and everyone working here is always kind and helpful. The food is always authentic tasting. The ambience is cozy. I have had most of their soups and the hot and sour is my favorite! The noodles are always on point. Try the udon! I love their orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The sweet and sour chicken has the perfect crunchy coat and the sauce is perfection. The menu is overall quite vast and you can get whatever you're feeling - noodles, chicken, beef, vegetarian options. This is a family favorite!

My mom and I have been eating here since I was in the fifth grade, so a little over a decade. Currently, whatever cook and recipes they're using had me yelling "WOW! WTH! THIS IS SO GOOD." They went through a few years where the food was questionable but right now, without a doubt, this is the best place to get Chinese food in walled lake area. My mom orders the almond chicken religiously and this is the first time that the gravy not only transported us to Thanksgiving Dinner but also allowed us to taste the actual nuts in the sauce. I ordered the Honey Chicken and I don't think I'll ever order something different. You truly taste the honey and it's not like a burnt or over cooked honey flavor, it's a stick around because fresh honey was poured all over kind of flavor. The white rice was sticky and very plump.

I came here for dinner and felt really bad coming in 1 hour before closing. The host treated us so well and prepared food for us so quickly! Everything we had was very well done and the atmosphere was great! At the end of our meal my sister got to spin the wheel and got free cookies. This is the best Chinese food in the city! I've been coming here for ages and need to make sure everyone knows how good it is. The service is always top notch no matter who's working. I visited China Town today and as always, in my experience, the service and food has been great. The dining area, restrooms and kitchen are clean. My take out order was taken immediately and was ready & piping hot in less than 10 minutes. I'm always treated well with each visit. The prices are great. The meat is "Halal". The food is flavorful and fresh. I'm a satisfied customer. No complaints here. read more

This place use to rock when it first opened, was very falvorful and spicy. Not sure what happened but food is now bland. Family only eats Zabihah and would look forward to going here. No matter how many times you tell them that you want it spicy, it all tastes the same now. read more

My order was ready and when I arrived to pick it up, I was ignored by the three people working in the back counter and one person resting in the dining area. After waiting five minutes and making several eye contact exchanges, I intermittently said "Hello, Hello" to try to get their attention in order to pay for my order. One of the workers didn't appear to be busy and casually stood on her phone. I waited for about ten minutes while being ignored before I left and told my sister to come inside with me while I filmed the encounter. Someone immediately came to help us. Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. I ordered sesame chicken combo. This combo does not include eggroll, like most chinese restaurants. I ordered a spring roll. This was not the worst chinese food, but it was pretty bad. The sesame chicken was dry and overcooked. Tasted like orange chicken sprinkled with sesame seed. The vegetables in the spring roll were soggy, not good at all. I won't order from this restaurant again. read more

This place was alright though, the food wasn't as good as we intended! We got crab legs, thinking they would not be extra cause it was in the buffet, but than bam, they charge us with over 20 dollars! Greatly we got refunded, the service was a little inpatient,but other than that this is a average alright place to go, but you can find some way more better somewhere else out there. read more

"Meh. I've experienced better," is pretty much spot on for this place. Looking for a New Year's Day Chinese Food Hangover Cure...we landed on China Town out of necessity more than anything. Other places didn't open until later in the day. A spot down the road had a 2.5 star Yelp rating, so we landed here with their 3.5 star rating. I love me some Chinese food. I'm not Chinese, but I consider myself to know a thing or two about how our Americanized Chinese food should be executed...and this ain't it. I often wonder what sheltered existences people must have when they rate a place like this 5-stars and rave about the food. My wife ordered General Tso's chicken. I ordered the Szechuan Chicken extra spicy. The General's chicken is sweet, not spicy and comes in the fluffy breading that often comes with Sweet & Sour chicken. In fact, if someone had told me it was Sweet & Sour chicken, I would've believed them. I know a lot of places have General Tso's like this, but to me, it should be a lot less like Sweet & Sour Chicken. The Szechuan Chicken, although spicy because I ordered it extra spicy, was quite bland. I couldn't really figure out how it could be spicy and bland at the same time, but it was. Quite disappointing. Spring rolls were more doughy than crispy. Hot & Sour soup was okay. People seemed nice enough, but probably won't be ordering from here again. read more

Labor Day, while everyone is doing BBQ me and my wife decided to do Chinese. We drove 45 min to get to this place, fortunately got lost and ended up with a beautiful lake view and big mansion that we can't afford but finally reached our destination. We really drove out the way to get to this place because it's HALAL. Soon as we walked in nice lady manager greeted us with a warm welcome and we started ordering immediately. We kinda of went overboard and order bunch of dishes since it was halal even the manager said it was too much but it was well worth it. Fresh, halal, Gluten free, made from scratch. My favorite is Spring roll nice and crispy and Fried chicken dumpling was very tasty. Also had unon noodles, sesame chicken, Hunan chicken, beef and broccoli. Out of all those main course most favorite was unon beef noodles. I wanted to try the jalapeño and beef but maybe next time. Experience was great and will be back soon to try some other dishes, just wish it wasn't that far from my house. read more

Have that craving for Chinese food, but you're on a budget? Then look no further. I completely stuffed (with left-overs) an adult family of five for about $50. However, be advised that this place is popular with a lot of people, and they can get easily overwhelmed. Because of this, my take-out orders have occasionally been short an item or two. So just be sure to check before you leave the counter. Should this ever happens, they're quick to make it right. read more

I can not figure out why anyone would leave a decent review for this place. The food was awful! We had almond boneless chicken. Very tough and breading was greasy. I had a shrimp dish that was lacking in flavor and only a few shrimp in it. Very disappointed. There are so many options in the area. How this place makes it is a mystery to me. And don't fall for the free soup on your next visit..you have to spend a minimum of 20 dollars. read more

I mentioned to the waitress that this didn't seem right, and her response was simply, "That's just how long it takes." I explained that if carryout was actually going to take 45 minutes, I should have been told that upfront. I would never have chosen to wait that long. What disappointed me most wasn't just the delay--it was the lack of communication and the lack of concern. A sincere apology or an honest update would have gone a long way. I genuinely wanted to support a local business that was asking for community support, but unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be returning.

I was a smidge earlier than everyone else for lunch; the dining room filled up soon afterwards. I loved the huge menu - there were so many options for soups, salads (Maurice, Greek, and Cobb, to name a few), sandwiches (Reuben's, triple deckers, and even vegetarian), burgers and hot dogs, breakfasts (omelettes, waffles, and French toast), and deli classics. I opted for the Victor Special, extra cut, which included larger portions of both corned beef and pastrami, coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. The thinly-sliced meat was indeed piled high at the center. For my side, I had wanted the onion rings, but they were already sold out! Instead, I went with the hash browns; they were crispy with a mashed potato-like interior. In retrospect, I should have tried some of the foods I've enjoyed from my hometown: knishes, blintzes, latkes; I'm now dreaming of meals I've had in my past. Service was fine at first, but my server got busy elsewhere, and her coworkers pitched in.

My favorite part was they have rice options: white with pilaf and yellow. I'm not a big fan of the yellow rice a lot of the time so I was great having that option. The guy "tag-teamed" his wife to come out of the kitchen and bicker with me, right in front of multiple other customers, when I "dared" to speak up about their tone and attitude, then repeatedly pointed to a sign on the wall that said "we match your energy" (AKA: "we reserve the right to be total a****les for any and all perceived slights, real or imagined") when I had the "audacity" to complain about how they spoke to me and my dad on the phone and in-person. They were furious that my elderly dad was "taking too long" to place his order for four people (he was not, at all) and acting like it's somehow our fault that they only have a single phone line. Give me a break (take-out only establishment, by the way). They then proceeded to promptly cancel my dad's order and shoo me out, all the while cussing at me in Mandarin, at which point I walked out of there (for the last time). You would do well to AVOID this place at all costs, trust. Not to mention, I've had their food more than a few times before, and it is not even NEARLY good enough to justify them being this nasty towards their patrons. Their offerings are the very definition of "sodium-infused slop" and "mediocre at best" and they act like we are lucky to be allowed to purchase them. What a joke! Do yourself a HUGE favor (like I did) and pay a little extra for a place with WAY better people and service, and MILES better quality food, places such as Shangri-La (amazing!), for example. Don't do it. I can't give a rating on the food because it never came after making an order 2 hours before for delivery. The driver couldn't find our apartment, which is a huge complex on Telegraph and 14 Mile Road. The driver called me several times and couldn't speak English. I had seen similar reviews about the delivery time, but didn't expect for the food to just not show up after waiting 2 hours and pre-paying with a credit card. It's unfortunate if the food is good, because we will never know. Please don't waste your time on delivery! I decided to just order from another Chinese restaurant and pick it up. read more

I recently dined at China Town, and it was good. Quiet energy in the place. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, each more enticing than the last. I started with the Crab Rangoons, which were perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. For the main course, I opted for the Pad Thai and Sesame Chicken, and they did not disappoint. I get carry out at least 3 times a month here. Kinda sad I guess, but heck, its pretty good and my kids love it. We always get the traditional sweet and sour chicken with white rice.
