Sweet Krunch feels like one of those "if you know, you know" spots. My uncle always suggests it whenever I ask what we should eat when he's in Bradenton. I live here and pass it a million times, the parking lot is usually empty and the outside doesn't really draw you in; so I never thought much of it. The staff were really nice. They did mix up my order at first (giving me flats and a different flavor), but they fixed it immediately and let me keep the original, which I appreciated. The place is clean, mainly set up for takeout, but you can sit inside if you want. I got a lychee juice slushy with lychee jelly because it's sounded refreshing but I don't think I'm a fan of Boba tea. Now for the main reason I'd come back: the chicken! I ordered the 8-piece drumsticks-only, soy garlic, fried extra hard and they nailed it. The chicken was crispy, flaky, tender, fall off the bone, and the perfect size. Not huge, pumped-up pieces. Spicy wings: 9.5/10 - the flavor was spicy and rich and if you don't like spicy stuff, this may be too spicy for you as it does pack a bit of heat. I absolutely loved this flavor and it went so well with the cool, refreshing taste of the pickled white radish. I'm craving the wings as I type this! They give you a tub of pickled white radish and I appreciate that because when we get Korean wings, there's never enough pickled radish. Beef bulgogi bibimbap: 8/10 - my husband enjoyed his bowl very much and had no complaints. Flavor was good, lots of fresh veggies, and the bulgogi beef was cooked perfectly and juicy. I had a bite and it was delicious as well. The fried egg tied it all together and created a delicious umami flavor. We would absolutely come back again and try other dishes! We really enjoyed this! It's a bit of an unassuming place - looks like a Pizza Hut - but the food was surprisingly great! We had 2 types of Korean wings which were not overly breaded which we like. We also had the salt and pepper chicken nuggets which are basically crack. They didn't have the pickled radish so we had the kimchi - also very good. The soy garlic is a great flavor and the sweet chili is a little bit sweeter if you do like it sweeter. Both are juicy and tasty and have a great crunch. I washed it down with their super fruit tea which has a strawberry, honey dew melon, lemon, lime and blueberry pieces in it. I liked it so much I had to drink it to the very bottoms. I had it with passion fruit popping boba The service is great. Service with a smile and definitely willing to answer any questions that you have. The place is very fast food-esque, simple, reminds me of a Popeyes. They have menus on above the pay area and paper menus also. It is very cold in there. At least the day we went. We looked over the menu and decided to try a few lunch specials. We ordered the wings, drumsticks, teriyaki beef, and a fried chicken sandwich. You have the option of different sauces on the chicken and I went with soy garlic on the wings and spicy sauce on the drumsticks. I also ordered an oolong peach milk tea with brown sugar boba. The food came out quickly and it looked great! The Korean fried chicken was so perfectly crispy and the sauces were great. My father loved his teriyaki beef. The chicken sandwich was good, but the chicken was a bit small given the size of the sandwich. We had quite a bit to take home for later to enjoy. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Sweet Krunch. Ordering was super convenient and easy. We got the lunch special which was chicken and a side for $9.99, what a deal! I got the spicy wings, fries, and a taro slush with white boba 50% sweet. The wings with the spicy sauce were so delicious and the skin was crispy and juicy! The fries were very average. The taro drink was so tasty and it was a good size as well. My boyfriend got the strips with soy garlic sauce, fried rice, and Thai ice tea 25% sweet! I tried the soy garlic strips and I thought they were okay, I liked my wings and the spicy sauce better. The fried rice was very bland and didn't taste like anything. Definitely needed more flavor or sauce and maybe more egg. The Thai ice tea was delicious! Overall, the food I would give 4 stars but because of the value and how tasty my wings were I will give it five stars, because it definitely beats a lot of fast food that would be around the same price! The fried chicken here is SO GOOD. The chicken/chicken skin is ACTUALLY CRISPY and retains that crisp even with the sauce and even when steaming inside a box. We tried drumsticks and wings with three flavors (sweet chili, soy garlic, and spicy) and all were delicious, distinct from each other, and didn't taste artificial. The sweet chili tasted just like Thai sweet chili sauce; the soy garlic was not too salty or sweet, and the spicy didn't just taste "hot" or like some instant sauce--it was complex and layered. The chicken was also flavorful throughout and not only because of the sauce. For our sides, we got fries (which were yummy) and the parmesan zucchini fries which were unexpectedly delicious! The best part was that every layer of zucchini fries was doused in parmesan (they didn't just throw it on the top #bless) so even the ones at the bottom of the box were covered in parmesan and also somehow still crispy omg. I think the restaurant might be more popular for takeout, but since we are an hour's drive away we ate there. It was really clean and comfortable enough. We ordered 8 wings in Sweet Chili sauce, Buldak (spicy dish), mango green tea boba drink, side of rice, side of radish, zucchini fries and pork dumplings. Aside from boba tea and rice (hard), the entire meal was just eh. I spent nearly $70 with tip. Overall, I think they should focus on tea and wings. The wings were too over sauced and that made me not be able to finish the 3 remaining wings. There was more breading than zucchini. I threw that out. The dumplings also tasted weird and too saucy. The radish was missing something and tasted muted and not pickled enough. The rice was questionable but I like my rice grains separated whereas my daughter enjoys her rice softer. I felt bad when I think one of the owners asked how my meal was and I didn't have the heart to tell her. Maybe next time after I have tried the other Korean places locally. read more

I drove almost half an hour one way, and I was so excited to have some hot and sweet Korean crunchy chicken. The guy at the counter was very lethargic and yawning and very minimum service kind of guy. So when I try a new place I usually get two or three different dishes to give it a good sampling and so I got the Bulgogi, which was not very flare for fall, but it was at least served warm, the Korean chicken was served cold and had very little flavor, and the pork belly buns were OK but without much flavor, and the Boba tea was OK but he let it sit on the counter with other tickets with the drink on top so that it got diluted. So I waited at 2030 minutes, the drink should've been up, but he didn't bother to signal me or call me or bring it to me or anything.
