This is an old house converted into a restaurant. Very nice and clean. They have a bar with wine and beer. The staff is friendly. I ordered the short rib beef with mashed potatoes and green beans. The meals came out quick. My meat was tender and delicious. The potatoes were good and the beans were cooked perfectly. My wife got the ballerina bowl. What a cute place. You gotta be comfortable with the feminine vibe (lots of pink and florals). The food was fantastic. We started off at the bar for happy hour. Had a drink and a couple of appetizers then moved to dining table for dinner. The bar chairs are quite comfortable and I appreciated the hooks on underneath side of bar for purses etc. Because we had 5 in our group the bartender suggested we eat dinner upstairs in what was essentially a private room. That was just perfect. We had a whole room to ourselves. There was even our own bathroom. I should mention the delicious 1911 salad I got with salmon. My husband loved the meatloaf he ordered. After a long day at the beach we decided to try something close by for dinner. Enter the lazy ballerina bistro I saw they had chicken pot pie on the menu and was instantly sold! We got our meal to go and took it back to where we are staying for a lovely little dinner in. Now, I will forever compare every pot pie to my favorite because that is just how it goes but this one is so very delicious and beautifully done! It's definitely up there on my list! It is an elevated classic version of the chicken pot pie with a gorgeous light and airy pastry crust. The filling is really delightful too not your run of the mill pot pie filling that's heavy and overly rich just the right amount of weight and creaminess (lol! I'm picky!) Filled with a decent amount of peas, carrots and perfectly cooked pieces of chicken it was a joy to eat. Bob had the French onion soup and I literally looked over for a bite and it was gone. This is by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. If you don't want to be there, don't open. Shrimp under cooked, had to waive down for drink refills. Even paid drinks! Our second visit, and the Lazy Ballerina did not disappoint! The building is a beautifully restored 100+ year-old bungalow, but the real star is the food. Southern-inspired dishes, many with local seafood, had the perfect amount of spice. The Florida Seafood Boil and the Shrimp and Grits were both excellent. The 100+ year old building has lots of ambience and coupled with the friendly service and food it is a very enjoyable and tasty night out.

What a cute spot! Highly recommend visiting in the off season as it is usually quite crowded otherwise. The house is beautifully decorated and we came on a night with live music. The menu is very diverse and you can definitely find something to appease your taste buds! They currently only offer wine and beer, but have some really great wine options to choose from. One server at 12:30 lunchtime. Chairs are metal & hard as rocks-very uncomfortable to sit on. No cushions on them. How do they expect me to enjoy my meal sitting on hard steel. The bread, I think, was sourdough. While I did like the crunch of the bread, it was so greasy, I couldn't eat it. The tomato soup that I ordered with it-came to the table COLD. Couldn't eat it. Plus, soup had too much blue cheese in it. Now, let's talk about the fish dip I ordered. Did the cook just empty a can of tuna & spread mayo on it-yep, I believe that's what they did. I've never had or even made my own dip that had 2-3 inch solid chunks not mixed into the dip. Last time I ate here, I was disappointed. Today is the last day I'll ever eat here. Food was so bad, if I didn't have my friend with, I would have walked out. Did I tell the manager? Was the manager there? If there was a manager there, the ONE server there took care of the whole restaurant by herself. My bill was over $70 for 3 grilled cheese & fish dip, one ice tea & 2 waters. There was a blue tomato soup with the grilled cheese and as a fan of grilled cheeses that twist on the classic was definitely a new one I recommend getting the soup with the grilled cheese tho it's extra. They have only beers and wines, no soft drinks or teas. The setting of the place was cottage like and had party rooms with large tables to set groups. With a bar that had cozy seating. I recommend if you want something new come to it and try, they have reservations so you can make time. Parking can be crowded the max cars looks like a single parking nothing larger than a suv civic.
