We love this buffet for lunch during the week. We go early, between 11 am and Noon; everything is always fresh & hot! I love the fresh sushi at the back station too. We went on a Saturday and it was more expensive (more main entree items) but they didn't have the Spring rolls, and when I asked the waitress, they said they don't serve them on weekends. Bring cash if possible, as there's a 3% CC charge otherwise. The service/waitresses are always very nice & attentive. I'm surprised by the bad reviews, as this is the best Chinese buffet we've found in the area and we've always had great food & a wonderful experience when eating lunch here. read more

I really liked it and I'll be back. When you walk in, it's kind of exciting. At least, it was for me. The good: - Three huge, double-sided hot steam tables plus a cold salad and dessert bar with so many choices! -Friendly staff, easy parking, clean throughout, and great selections. -They brought fresh food fill-ups and most things were topped-off. Listen, my first restaurant hustle as a busser years ago included salad bar duties and I've been a buffet enthusiast since I could reach the Tongs and spoons and ladles. I look for these things. - Lo mein and Gen. Tso's were flavorful and hit the spot - fresh and cronchy cold bar veggies and salad - ice cream! - the egg tarts. If you take nothing else from my review, try these little delights. - The bad: some of the hot selections on a slow Monday night were not the freshest and, look, I get it. But I also notice it and mention it because it's relevant. Like, the egg rolls should have a bit of cronch, right? My boyfriend and I always rate where we eat but never to an extent where we go online. Noodles, chicken, wontons, soup, variety of food. shrimp, muscles, crawfish. this definitely deserves a five star . the waitress also filled my drink 3 times and was super sweet. Decent little buffet, clean smaller selection of sushi, all in all worth the $ and stop......for those that complain about cold food and nasty conditions.....the later you go the older the food is going to be, duh, they aren't going to throw out 3/4 of a pan of still edible food to give you a new pan of 5 star resturant deliciousness for $8-11.....cleanliness, true, at times it's a little rough but seriously again your not talking about a $60 per plate upity resturant....these people work their butts off to make money...... I travel weekly. I asked to see the buffet as you can do that to go and pay by the pound. Buffet looked a bit dry and mostly fish. I ordered General-Tso chicken combo, steamed dumplings and a sweet Chinese tea. Service is friendly and food is yummy. China Wok has been great since they remodeled the place a few years ago. We usually eat there 3 or 4 times a month. The all you can eat sushi bar is unbelievable and it's included in the buffet price. The "Japanese chicken," steamed dumplings and of course the sushi are must try's. The help is a little hot and cold on keeping your drink filled. I have gone an entire meal without a refill but the quality of the food makes up for the sometimes lackluster service. My family really enjoys eating here. We have been to many Chinese buffets, and most do not have the variety of vegetarian options that China Wok does. They even make vegetable dishes and bring them to our table at no additional price! Not many places for a health conscious person to eat in Athens, China Wok is one of the few. read more

Food is great. Been eating there once a week for the past 6 weeks. Tonight we placed our order, the girl got it all wrong. It took 30 minutes to get. When I called to let her know I was overcharged and was missing an item, she started to argue with me. I ordered a number 15 off of the menu. She had no idea what the item on the menu even was...even after reading it and still continued to argue. That's just bad business. I won't be back.
