I'm not sure if why the reviews are so low but we've always had excellent service and speedy too! They have my favorite pan fried dumplings and sauce. I will always order them from here! The lo mein could've used more sauce but I love the dumpling sauce so much that it paired well with the lo mein. This is a typical NY style Chinese restaurant. We started with Wonton soup, and Hot and sour Soups for us. We had 5 of us and we had apps and meals and it was perfect amount with no leftovers. We went after the soups with Spare ribs and egg rolls. Just so delicious! Followed by Moo shu pork with pancakes and hoisin sauce. Then an order of Beef Chow Fun and finished with Szechuan Shrimp. each was as good as the next with lots of flavor and nice portions to share. My last visit was not so good. The food was greasy, and for some reason Blah. I called to talk to my friend Mike but his new girl wouldn't let me talk to him. When I explained the my egg foo young was under cooked and very greasy, the lomein the same she told me "maybe you shouldn't order those dishes" For 10 years I have ordered the same items and it was always perfect. This is the second time in a month that we were unhappy. I have not been back, that was several months ago, now I see the place has serious health inspection issues. I am deeply hurt I have lost a friend I held in very high regards as a restaurateur. This is another example of how a business can loose it way. While the food is really tasty the owner is most of the time very brusque bordering on rude. My friends and I usually ate the once a week but no longer. The simple reason is that I read the Palm Beach county health department restaurant reports every week and Uncle Joe's is the worst offender for a filthy kitchen resulting in them recently being closed down and fined a lot of money. read more

I have been dining here for many years, mostly during lunch when I usually upgrade my fried rice to include pork. One evening, my girlfriend and I ordered beef with broccoli. The broccoli was excessively hard, and the beef was only cooked to rare. We returned it, trying to get it cooked more, but received no apology. When it was time to pay, my girlfriend refused to leave a tip. The waitress approached us asking for a tip. I handed over $5 in cash, and we both agreed never to eat here again. After moving to Florida from Long Island four years ago, we've been on the hunt for Chinese food that could compare to what we were used to back home. Decided to stop in here for lunch the other day, and was so happy that I did! There are many lunch specials, and I had the Egg Fu Yung. It came with soup, rice, an egg roll and a big basket of crunchy noodles with duck sauce and mustard. All for $12!! I love their hot and sour soup. We're Sunday night regulars, and even make an appearance during the week on occasion. Their Peking Duck is the best! They will make up the pancakes for you, and leave the rest of the sliced Duck as "Duck two-ways" to share or take home. We usually have the same server, and she always provides superior service. This is the first time I've been to Uncle Joe's since Mr. Zhang's closed in Palm Beach Gardens. For many locals, the closing of Mr. Zhang's was shocking...it was the nicest, most consistent Chinese Food in the area (and loved by the community). Turns out that Uncle Joe's is owned and operated by the same folks that were behind Mr. Zhang's. The waiter remembered me from my days at Mr. Zhang's and remembered my "go to" dishes and how I liked them prepared. Pretty impressive memory, since it's been 3-5 years or so. The food and service was outstanding. My wife and I were very impressed. Since we live in Jupiter, it's not "around the corner", but we will definitely make the drive now!
