This restaurant that has been around for 40 years in Palm Beach County has just moved to a wonderful location in Jupiter. The food is scrumptious and the service first rate. If you are looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant in the Palm Beach Gardens/Jupiter area this is well worth the drive. Although this is a new location, it was quite busy with takeout orders as well as long-term fans who traveled up to eat at one of their favorite restaurants in this new location. They are open every day except for Wednesday and you can get everything from dim sum to a while steamed fish. I almost hesitated to write this because Golden Pavilion feels like a well kept family secret, but they truly deserve the spotlight. My family and I come here often for dim sum and celebrate Lunar New Year here every year. The service is always warm and attentive, especially from Sue, and we always leave happy, completely stuffed, and usually carrying leftovers. Their menu is extensive, and I have yet to order anything I didn't enjoy. My dim sum favorites include the sticky rice with lotus leaves, chicken wings, siu mai, preserved egg and congee, steamed dumplings, fried shrimp balls, sesame balls, and pan fried turnip. You really can't go wrong with anything on the dim sum menu. Everything is made fresh, arrives hot, and is consistently delicious. For Lunar New Year, we order the whole steamed fish with scallions and ginger. It is perfectly cooked every time, flaky, moist, and full of flavor. We also love the roast chicken and duck, General Tso's chicken, and the pan fried seafood noodles loaded with scallops, shrimp, and calamari. Even the fried rice is a standout. This year, we placed an order ahead for the whole lobster and devoured it. I have to admit I will be happy when this restaurant relocates to the Sprouts plaza on Military Tr in Jupiter. I have greatly enjoyed the food at this eatery. Excellent food and service. Each time we go, we try something different, and every time we're given great tasting fresh food. Pepper steak has excellent flavor and the vegetables aren't overcooked. I had the shrimp egg foo yung which was large and fluffy, with great flavor. It has a thick gravy that comes with it too. Every time we go, it's clean and quiet and only a few tables have people. This place is a cute family run business, and they put alot of love and care into everything they make! The staff makes an effort to make you feel welcome and remembers your order only after your second visit! Seriously impressive! I love ordering the general tso's chicken and their cashew shrimp is delightful. The water chestnuts are crispy and fresh and I keep coming back for more. The egg foo young and lo mien are also classic favorites! For fun, I tried the egg custard buns and they were fresh, hand made and perfectly sweet!! Definitely give this place a try!! read more

Actually quite authentic Chinese food. The crispy fried chicken came with the fried salt--just missing the shrimp chips--but the flavour and texture was great! Steamed fish fillet had good ginger flavour. The chicken lettuce wrap could have benefited with more than just 4 lettuce cups, but was nicely prepared with good taste and texture. First impression is the place looked clean. I did like the flat noodles they give to munch on. Sauces were good, seemed like they were made in house. Those mustards pack looks like gel, duck sauce is too sweet. Any way, theirs is made fresh. I ordered boneless spareribs. I thought the lunch was small portion compared to another Chinese restaurant I usually go to. Thought I'd try something different. Egg roll was ehhh, boneless ribs had more fat on them than I like. We've taken out from Golden Pavilion in the past, but not eaten in the restaurant, especially since Dim Sum does not travel well. There was some good: our soups were great. The Hot and Sour was both hot and sour, the broth perfectly thick and served nicely hot. The Chicken Corn soup was the best we've had since moving to Florida - nicely thick (but not gunky) with plenty of corn. Our egg rolls were just OK, and not served hot enough. The Dim Sum was a mixed bag. The Steamed Pork Buns nicely filed and perfectly cooked, but the stuffing seemed more like a Sloppy Joe. The Shu Mai and Steamed Shrimp Dumplings were disappointing. Both were gummy. Although the restaurant is attractive, although the seat cushions are completely sat out. Finally, our service was completely disinterested. Have made three visits. Two were acceptably good for Dim Sum. So few places near Port St Lucie to get anything close to authentic Chinese Dim Sum. The last visit left me dismayed. Out of 6 dishes only two the chicken feet in blackbean sauce was very good and a nice order of turnip cakes.Terrible bowl of thick non tasting hot and sour, two types of dumplings,rice in lotus leaf should not have been served not very good. read more

Good but not great.... Honestly could be great. Food is well done and extra points for the Dim Sum. They do well with traditional "american" chinese and real more "chinatown style". Excellent steamed buns, especially the pork ones. Black bean sauce with shrimp and eggplant, yummy. For others tastes the egg rolls and spare ribs are yummy along with General Tsaos, etc.. Just cant go five stars - they cheap out on the stupidest things, that just makes it not five stars.. Get moo-shi pork and you only get a tiny tiny 2oz cup of hoisin - not enough. Same on duck sauce and mustard- order 5 appetizers - need more than 2 oz cup of each. The noodles and rice dishes are over run with giant pieces of onion and scallion and you have to search for the meat.... just too bad. Probably would go there more often for take out, but begging for sauce is tiring... read more
