You order something and have them repeat it back and still get it wrong. Them when you get back you have to repay them again to remake it.

It's nice, affordable but fairly standard Chinese food. It has fairly extensive menu of Chinese and even some Japanese food.

Been looking for a good Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Winston-Salem area after moving back…read morefrom Hawaii and we found a great one. Located in the same shopping center as Walmart on E. Hanes Mill Rd, this gem is housed in the same spot where the Hwy 55 burger joint was (I sure miss them). Parking is shared with other area merchants, and since it's quite a distance from Walmart's entrance, finding a space is not a problem. The restaurant is well-lit, comfortable and clean. We were promptly greeted and shown to a table. The menu had a great selection of ramen, bento, and sushi. While I was leaning towards sushi, I opted for the chicken katsu bento. The food came out quickly and I was pleasantly surprised at the portion size. Definitely a good value in my opinion. The only disappointment was their take on fried rice, which seemed more like a dirty rice you would get at Popeye's. Honestly, I think white rice would have been a better pairing for this dish. Great service throughout our visit and we're keeping this one on the short list.

My favorite is the highway 9 roll with the bulldog a close second. I also like to get the crab Rangoon appetizer or the crab salad. The crab salad is really unique and fresh tasting. Service is always quick even when they're busy. I love the addition of these fun new tree platters too!

As someone who's eaten their fair share of sushi across NC (as well as some of the best in LA), I…read morehate having to write this review. We were originally planning to hit up our usual AYCE spot in Greensboro but didn't want to deal with the wait, so we decided to try Kimono since it's closer to home. Big mistake. Let's start with the rolls - they're basically rice bombs with a hint of fish somewhere in there. If you're into eating mostly rice with your sushi, then jackpot! But if you're looking for that perfect rice-to-fish ratio and fresh, vibrant flavors that good sushi should have, keep driving. The quality is barely a step above what you'd grab from Harris Teeter's sushi counter, and I'm being generous here. The only saving grace was our server, who was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. But friendly service can't make up for mediocre food, especially when the bill hits $120 for three people. At that price point, you expect way better quality. Bottom line: Save your money and make the drive to a better spot. There are too many good sushi places in the Triad to settle for this. Your wallet (and taste buds) will thank you later.

recently visited Kimono for sushi and, unfortunately, was left quite disappointed. I ordered the…read moreNinja Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll. The rolls were heavy on the rice, which overwhelmed the other flavors. Additionally, there was an off-putting funky taste that made the sushi comparable to what you'd find in a grocery store. On a positive note, the waiter was extremely nice and friendly, providing great service throughout the meal. While the ambiance and service were pleasant, the sushi itself did not live up to expectations. It gets one star for bad food and the extra star for the great service.

This is not a high end place or even a place that specializes in sushi, but we thought we would give it a shot. It is clean on the inside of the restaurant and there is seating inside only. I ordered two basic rolls, while my wife ordered a roll and tempura veggies. I got my rolls in a few minutes and they weren't bad, again this is not high end, but it was decent. The cost at the time the visit was $7 per roll. My wife had to wait for her veggies and when it came out it was not tempura. The veggies were coated in cornmeal and deep fried. They were okay, but DEFINITELY NOT tempura. With the rolls being okay I did try the "tempura" but will pass on that in the future if we visit again.

My traditional spicy tuna roll for $7 was as good as any sushi restaurant I've been to. Place was clean and service was great and friendly. Now... I ordered tempura vegetable appetizer. Ummmmmm ..not tempura, it's just deep fried vegetables. You might as well get a side of ranch and dip it in. And it was very oily. So, not getting that again. I'll be back for the rolls and order other appetizers. Overall I'm glad I came here.

The fish was fresh...the rolls were BIG and the menu is huge. Great combinations too...really impressed! Both menu's (the AYCE menu and their regular menu) have a ton of options. I mean you're not getting bored here. And for all-you-can-eat...you honestly cannot beat the value. They've got plenty of cooked options if that's your thing, but as you can clearly tell from my plate in the photo I was here for the sushi and the sushi only and it was totally delish. I saw some reviews on here complaining about the wait for food BUT honestly...that's not a negative at all. It just means everything is fresh to order which is a HUGE plus in my book. I waited about 15-20 minutes during lunchtime with a restaurant 75% full and didn't mind one bit. I'll wait every time for fresh sushi!! Also random but important I had to use the bathroom while I was there and it was spotless. That always tells you everything you need to know about a place. Super impressed overall. Did not expect to find sushi like this here, but I'll definitely be back next time i'm in town!! Probably twice
