Well, finally moved to Rosemount and have had Chinese food from various joints in the area. My previous review, I gave them a nice 4. I remember it being decent but not specially memorable. That all changed last week and then again last night just to confirm again my new revelation. That Yes, China Wok offers the best Chinese food in Rosemount, Eagan and Apple Valley combined. I am now happily giving them a 5 or more if I could rate them higher. Their Sesame Chicken is to die for! Yes...it is...to. die. for. You'll get a MOUND (not just a container, but a mound enough for 2 people to mosh and still have leftovers). That chicken, so tender, crispy floating in a tangy, sauce. Saucy! Their wonton soup is da bomb. Gleaming plump wontons in a savory broth. And a small order had 6 wontons, enough for 2 or even 3 to share. Oh, and their Special Fried rice...trust me. It's pretty special...plump shrimp, diced chicken, ham, egg, veggies and so tasty. We also got the Sesame Shrimp and which is not even on the menu, but they never said a word, just made us some. Yummy! I spied a diner eating some plump crunchy looking chicken wings, as I was waiting on my order, and we all know how much I love me a chicken wing. I'll be back to try them. The superstar of China Wok is their amazingly priced Lunch Specials. Their lunch special includes the main dish you order with fried rice 2 cream cheese wontons and a drink all for under $8!! The reason for four stars is because they changed their fried rice a while back and it's not as good as it used to be. Also, some items can be hit or miss. Our total was $13.93 each day. We do online banking, and when checking to see if the charges had cleared, one was for $13.93 and the other was $16.93. I did NOT authorize a $3.00 tip!!! This is a buffet where you pay when you go in, they give you a cup for your drink, and you fill your cup (even refills). I do not tip in a restaurant like this as nothing is done for me except they remove dirty plates from the table. If I ordered from their menu and food was delivered to my table, then I would tip. I specifically put a $-0- tip both times and to my surprise, a $3.00 tip was added to the second visit. We will not eat here again! read more

We rotate through a few dishes: Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Cashew Chicken, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, House Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, and Cream Cheese Wontons. Never a bad meal, never an incorrect order, and always friendly service. We've also stopped in for the lunch buffet which did not disappoint - loved the spicy chicken. We moved to Apple Valley recently and have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant. My wife is very picky as she prefers a place in Woodbury, so she has a very high standard for Chinese food. Anyway, we had the family meal # 2 and an order of chicken lo mein. Ordered online, which was convenient, and it was ready for pickup very quickly. I enjoyed all the food very much, my wife said it was better than she expected, she'd buy from here again, and some of the food was even better than her favorite place in Woodbury (cream cheese wontons and chicken lo mein). The main thing we liked was that the chicken all seemed like it was white meat and there weren't any pieces that were chewy or gross. The sweet and sour chicken and sesame Chicken had nice pieces of chicken and we didn't find any pieces that were just all breading. We will definitely be back and are very happy to have found this restaurant using Yelp! read more

China wok used to be a usual spot for me. The food is good and the have a nice selection of entrees. They offer a buffet and lunch specials for a good price. The flavors and sauces are delicious and they can customize them to your heat preference. I am not a big fan of there meats that use such as there "white chicken meat" and "beef".
