Really good food, great service as well as prices. Very relaxed atmosphere. I'll be back!

I am driving cross country for work and stumbled into Woodstock at 8:30pm on Labor Day long weekend so most places were closed (save for the fast food joints). I had to grab some groceries and noticed China Wok in the same shopping plaza & saw that it has decent reviews. I spoke a gentleman who was just departing as I was walking in & he remarked that the restaurant is pretty decent as he eats there from time to time when visiting family. The plaza is pretty close to I-81 and has plenty of parking - and I can pretty well guarantee you that it's better than McDonalds, KFC, or Wendy's! I decided on the Seafood Delight - which was amazing. Shrimp, lobster, scallops, and crab with vegetables and white rice. The manager and chef were quite nice, and though sparse they had a small dining area which was better than eating in my hotel room. Greatest sesame chicken, I have been here for over 8+ years. No other sesame chicken compares. The guys who work here put their blood, sweat, and tears into it. Never had a bad experience. Will be back 10/10 read more

Without question, the best Chinese food in all of Woodstock. Much better than that other spot, um what's it called? Oh yeah, China Wok. Okay, so by default you are the best, but who's counting? This particular location is better than the other though. When I come home, I always forget that this place doesn't deliver; I'm spoiled. All-in-all, CW is a good spot. General Tso's is pretty good. Their egg rolls got smaller, but they have real, chili's-in-oil hot sauce available now, so that makes up for it. Plus, back in the day, they sold me an entire box of duck sauce. 5 stars because it delivered what was expected for an American Chinese spot in a strip mall and I don't have any significant complaints. It's a walk in and order sort of place, no tables to sit down. The kitchen is open and it looked exceptionally clean from where I stood. House fried rice was tasty and packed with protein and veg but a little dry. I wasn't crazy for the shrimp lo mein sauce flavor, but it was fine. The sesame chicken chicken was also fine. The beef and broccoli was really flavorful and I would definitely order it again. The fried dumplings were also very flavorful but the dumpling wrap was thicker than we usually prefer. The cheese wontons weren't advertised like a crab Rangoon (no mention of crab in the description) but the flavor had a fishy taste (not in a bad way. Just know that it isn't straight cream cheese). All in all, we'd order again, particularly because of how clean the kitchen looked. read more

The worst chinese food so far. I had two ordes of beef & broccoly with pork fried rice. The beef was nasty look raw and slammy Taste was really bad. Color of sauce is always dark like soy sauce but this one look more like light chocolate milk , and the rice was mushy and flavorless. Eggroll was ok but not something i will order from there. I was there to celebrate the new lady gaga single called G.U.Y But didn't enjoy this food There start i gave them was for. Let me think that one up! read more

I love this place. Nice Chinese comfort food. My husband and I get the take out often. Quick, affordable and tasty.

I still compare every Chinese restaurant's dumplings to China Wok's...probably 100+ places and CW's is still top 3. Always a good meal. Fast, consistent, and delicious for a reasonable price. Nothing revolutionary or unique, just good eats. read more

This is my favorite Chinese place. The food is yummy and service is quick and reliable. They aren't really a sit-down restaurant and I think do mostly pick-ups, although they do have some tables and chairs inside. read more

We were traveling along the interstate and we were coming to our stop for the night. I looked this place up on line and ordered take out from this restaurant. It was ready when we got there and the food was great. Really nice shrimp and beef. Also got some lo mien and chicken wings and they were good too. Everything was still nice and hot when we got to our hotel room. The only thing missing was napkins and forks/chopsticks but we were able to get them from the hotel. read more

This was our first time in Woodstock and we were in the mood for Chinese food. Most restaurants were closed for July 4th, so we were happy China Wok was open. The menu was typical but the food was delicious. The young lady who sat us was great at multitasking. The next time we're in town we will definitely go back to China Wok. read more

Best chinesse food in the county. Today had the hot and sour soup it was perfect just thje right amount of spice and spoon was almost always full with tofu and veggys. I've been to all the other places around and none of the other places compair this coming from someone that eats chinesse 3 to 5 times a week. read more

Wife and I visited here for the first time last night. We wanted a nice night out at a restaurant and we found this is not the place. ONE table in there with no restrooms. We didn't feel like driving to another location so we just ordered to go and took it home. I ordered the General Tso Chicken with white meat ($1.00) more and Fried Rice. The wife ordered the Moo Shu Pork with Fried Rice. I thought my fried rice was dry and not so tasty. My chicken was tasty enough but I asked for it to be extra spicy and there was NO spiciness to it. The wife said her Moo Shu was just OK but that the pancakes just disintegrated when she used them. I also ordered the Fried Biscuits from the appetizer list. I had no idea and there was no description that these were filled with some type of filling that I did not like at all. Please add a description to the menu. Overall this nowhere near a bad review but I'm not sure we'd come back here. read more
