Used to love getting takeout from here. Been doing it for years. But, the last 2 times they have forgotten parts of our order and we've had to go back to get the rest. Not so bad,but we live 20 minutes away. First time wasnt bad, but 2nd time is on me for not checking the bag. Never had a problem until May 2021. Not sure what has changed, but we are no longer going to rely on them to get the order right. We are taking our business elsewhere. read more

They have the very best Won Ton soup in Strasburg and the surrounding area. The food is good, but not spectacular. The interior needs updating a bit. I would definitely eat here, and often call in Won Tom Soup for pick up. read more

My favorite stop for Chinese Food in the area. Just moved to the area last year. Great Wall has not had a buffet since I have been a customer. They are mostly a take-out joint. Family run. The whole family is usually there. Very friendly. Really good food. I always get Wonton Soup and Chicken Sticks as appetizers. My son loves the Black Pepper Chicken, My wife loves the House Special Chow Fun (Rice Noodles). I have also had their Sesame Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Roast Pork Lo Mein, Pork Fried Rice and House Special Fried Rice. We have enjoyed everything we have tried. Great food for a great price. Great Wall will continue to be my favorite place to stop for Chinese Food. read more

The last time my boyfriend and I ate here it was horrible. The buffet was mostly empty and the food that was there was old. The soup selection on the buffet was horrible, the egg drop was dry looking. I order a bowl of wonton soup from the kitchen and it seemed as if was watered down. Even when the buffet is fully stocked the selection is limited. The staff how ever is very friendly and attentive to the tables them selves. Clearing plates and keeping the drinks filled. Do to the last visit I have temporarily boycotted Chinese food for a while. But I will give them another shot it the future. read more

This use to be the best place to eat Chinese in or around Strasburg. Surprising good but then they decided to remodel go the buffet route and now it's just plain awful. Food taste like it's been cooking all day and some of the heating trays are not keeping the food hot enough which is a great concern. read more

Ill be honest I have not experienced anything bad from here; quite the opposite in fact. I really love their pork fried rice. FOOD POISONING - Stopped in for the buffet and as it turned out it wasn't the worst part of my evening. I can attest that the food didn't taste any better the second time around. :-( The food on the buffet was slightly warmer than room temperature and none of it was fresh. I imagine that it would be fine to dine there during the dinner rush but not at 4:30 in the afternoon when everything has been sitting out since the lunch rush. I've taken a look at thehealth inspection reports on the Virginia department of health website and it looks like this restaurant has had several critical violations. read more

I stopped in for a late lunch (2pm). The buffett was a disaster. Food looked like it had been there since early morning. Dried out sauses, wilted veggies, crusty pans, dried out rice... just plain unappealing. I turned right around and promptly left, never will return. read more

I did take out here and was impressed with how extensive the menu was. You could order take out from the menu or from the buffet. The hostess was very helpful and friendly. The fried dumpling were a bit doughy (and seemed more steamed than fried) but the egg rolls were amazing. The pineapple chicken was ok, but could've used more and smaller pieces of the vegetables and pineapple. The restaurant has been around for 15 years and has a following. read more

This is a long awaited review. I've lived in Strasburg for 2 years now and whenever I'm in the mood for Chinese I always get takeout at Great Wall. Everyone is always so nice on the phone and in person. Very rarely is there any wait on the food. And it always tastes delicious and fresh. Also the prices are reasonable. Would recommend! read more

We were very hungry after traveling all day and found this place through our hotel directory. We were excited to see this place was still open until 11pm. We called and tried to place and order at 10 minutes to 11pm for pick up. I know it's cutting it close but your hours are till 11pm!!!!. They told us it was too late and they were closed. Then your hours should state open till 10:50pm. We are very disappointed and you have lost customers and earned yourselves a bad review. Honor your hours. read more

I was looking for a nice change of pace and am always keeping an eye out for a new Chinese restaurant to try, since it's one of my favorite. However, this one was very disappointing. We arrived at 5:00 p.m. (thinking new dishes would be coming out on the buffet), but everything had clearly been sitting around most of the afternoon. Thought about leaving, but decided to give it a try - nothing was actually hot, more like lukewarm and the flavors just didn't vary much, except for the General Tso's chicken - which was decent.
