Do not waste your time. We ordered the enchiladas and the Chicken Tika Masala. When I ordered the Chicken Tika Masala I was asked how spicy I wanted it, to which I replied "as spicy as you can make it". The girl who took my order was grumpy and anxious to leave, the girl who was left behind to run the floor was grumpy as well and non-apologetic about the fact that it took over 30 minutes for my food to come out. The enchiladas were dry and clumped together under a bath of sour cream. The Chicken Tika Masala may as well have been dry chicken in mayo. This didn't taste like restaurant food, it tasted like you went to dinner at that one friend's house where you kind of wonder how they survive. Loved this place when it first opened and had basic fresh Mexican favorites. We went weekly. We even had a favorite waiter. Well, the waiter is gone and new operations. But...still some original favorites...the Chile Verde dish is still tops made with pork ribs and so delicious! The tacos are yummy. The tortilla chips are not hot and freshly made like they used to be. The soaps were overdone. They now offer a pricey buffet with a mixture of Mexican and Indian foods. Honestly they're not bad. The staff are super nice and super smart when it comes to Mexican dishes. The restaurant is large. It's incredibly spacious on the inside. The food is debatable. I got three tacos. Barbacoa, lengua and el pastor tacos. The barbacoa was by far the best. It tastes good and has a decent amount of meat. The el pastor was also good, it had great flavor to it and an okay amount of meat. The lengua was also good but it barely had any meat. There's a lot of potential to this store. The food is decent, especially the barbacoa. If the price was a tad lower and the quantity of meat was higher it would have gotten a 5 star from me because the flavor is there but just not the quantity and price for it. read more

So disappointed to have to write this review... one of my favorite places in past years but today didn't measure up. Had Birria Tacos. Very small, dry and the "dipping sauce" just very oily. Side of rice and beans. Rice was obviously dry and had been sitting. The 3 draft beers available were all out. And the service.... Oh my. The buffet is expensive $23.99 with a beer, which they advertise as included but turns out they have a price without beer, soda or margarita. I would not call it fusion. They have a Mexi menu and an Indian menu. The buffet is 95 % Indian. They had no chutney's, salsas or sauces on or included with buffet. They had naan bread, but no chips. Food was fresh. No samosas on buffet. The window advertises the buffet, but it has huge airbrushed pic of burger & fries. If I go again I might order off the menu. They do gave a full bar. read more

The food was not an issue at all everything was good, including the aguas frescas. However, the only problem we encountered was with the payment process. After we finished eating, the waitress came to our table to take payment but did not provide a check. She only brought her card machine and asked if we would be paying cash or card. She told us the total was $55, and we mentioned we would be leaving the tip in cash. Shortly after, Apple Pay notified me that I was charged almost $64. I asked for a receipt, and it took a while for her to bring it back. When we let her know we had been overcharged, she said there was no way for her to refund us. The printed check we eventually received showed a total of $52. She then suggested we could just leave her that amount as the tip. We have no problem tipping, but someone who doesn't notice or understand the difference could easily leave an additional tip without realizing they were already overcharged. Popped in for a succulent Mexican dinner and was surprised to find Indian food on offer as well. My cauliflower potato enchiladas were very good but my partner's butter chicken, aloo naan and the fresh papadum were simply amazing. Came here for dinner. DO NOT order queso here, it's not queso. It is identical to the kind you get at a stadium, maybe even worse. It was also cold. My boyfriend and I got the flautas, smaller than hoped for. They tasted mid, had to add lots of salsa for it to have any flavor. Tasted like it had been sitting out a little too long. The horchata lacked flavor as well. Pricing was way too high for what you get, was almost $40 for the bad food, one beer and one horchata. Don't recommend. Everything about this place has improved! The food is excellent and just keeps getting better. Finally a Mexican restaurant to call home in Saint Pete. Nancy and her mom, Maria, provide warm and inviting service and the ambiance gets better every time we visit. Changing to real flatware, cloth napkins and real plates has turn this restaurant into a must visit. New furniture has moves it from cafeteria/takeout to a real Mexican restaurant ambiance. I've been here twice. The first time i came alone and the owner made me uncomfortable because he was flirting with me and speaking to me in Spanish and giving me free items trying to get more information from me - he was asking where I worked and where I'm from. He's also spoken to my friends like this when they're females alone. Today when my brother went in (who is gay) he told him take off your sunglasses and told him he doesn't speak Spanish. He was already being rude to a table of other gay men. He clearly is homophobic and sexist because he sure can flirt and speak Spanish when he sees a woman alone but when there is a gay man he has an attitude and can't speak Spanish. First, I didn't eat here. I walked in for the Mexican and Indian buffet. The Mexican food looked...grey. I don't know how this is possible unless it was a play of light. The buffet is in front of the windows and there may be a coating to reduce sunlight that affected its appearance. Second, the Indian selections were entirely meat. With respect to the chef, more than 30% of Indian people are vegetarian and many vegetarians frequent Indian restaurants for the large selection of non meat dishes. Simply the best! Love the casual atmosphere, love the great service and the food is better than any words I can come up with. We are all In love with the quesadillas. Filled and if you like cheese that stretches a foot away from you biting it, you've got it in the quesadilla. Nachos were huge and loaded with all the good things. When he came back with water, we ordered drinks. My mother in law only like Schweppes ginger ale, which she ordered. Turns out, they had Canada Dry instead. Ok, no problem. He takes our food order, and states they don't have guacamole. How does that happen on a Wednesday afternoon? Ok, we order the California Burrito (no guacamole), 2 carne asada tacos americanos, and the special of the day (quesadilla). The burrito is served with French fries on the side. We weren't expecting that, and honestly, they would do better to leave them off. They were very undercooked. The tacos and the quesadilla were average. I did really enjoy the green salsa they brought to the table, so I guess there's that. I know the server was doing the best he could, but he was the only employee working front of house. This is only taco place I go in St Petersburg. They have taco Tuesday and taco Thursday specials. Lived in California and Las Vegas for few years and I miss the street tacos. I've tried so many taco joints in the area for the past two years. This is the only place that even comes close. Their Pastor and Carnitas are delicious. The breakfast tacos with eggs all day is tasty. The Carne Asada have never disappointed. I can go on and on about their different taco selection. And their hot salsa is nice and actually spicy! I ordered a chicken taco and a pork tamale. The chicken was okay and the pork was pretty good. The tamale was cooked unevenly so one side was weirdly harder than the other, but the flavor was excellent. I really liked their verde hot sauce; my server warned me the red is too hot for him and he wasn't kidding-- proceed with caution there.
