After a long morning of birding at Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge, our group of five were starving. Checked Yelp for nearest location for Thai food. Located in a convenient strip mall, parking is a breeze even though it shares with a few very busy stores. ADA accessible: no steps or stairs and handicapped parking is right outside the door. The menu is fairly large considering they do (kinda) Japanese & Thai fusion. The Thai dishes are far and away better imho. The mango paradise ($16.95) was a show stopper: mango, bell pepper, onions, carrot, broccoli with sweet chili paste with chicken and added shrimp. It was shared and the consensus was a solid 10. The chicken teriyaki ($14.95) was good as well: grilled chicken thighs topped w/teriyaki sauce, served with your choice of fried rice, white rice or brown rice and steamed carrot, broccoli and cabbage. A fairly light meal but one that hit the spot. The other show stopper was the avocado curry ($15.95): avocado, broccoli, bell pepper and fried basil. "Thai style" makes it perfect if you can stand the heat. We added chicken and it was perfect. We also tried the pineapple fried rice ($16.95) and added chicken. It was a big portion that was easily shareable. The dining area isn't huge but was comfy with large communal tables or smaller tables for two. Very clean. There's a self-serve soda fountain for iced drinks or Thai iced tea or coffee plus energy drinks to drink. The man behind the counter was very friendly and asked us about our day and brought our food to the table very soon after ordering at the counter. I couldn't help but notice that American Christmas songs were being played but sung by Asian accented singers. It was very sweet and gave me a chuckle. I'd definitely go back to Teriyaki Thai Etc. when in Ridgefield again. We do a lot of birding so this has earned a spot on our eatery list. read more

This place has been consistent and they serve some excellent Thai style dishes that I would say are on par with some of the best Thai I have had. We just had a wonderful dinner for our group of 6 at Teriyaki Thai Restaurant in Ridgefield, and it was absolutely fantastic! With a larger table, it's always great to find a place that has a wide variety of choices to please everyone, and their menu completely delivered. We ordered a huge spread to share: Teriyaki Salmon, Pad See Ew, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Teriyaki Chicken, and Crab Rangoon. Every single dish was high-quality, incredibly fresh, and packed with great flavor. The kitchen clearly pays attention to the details, and the portions were generous. To top it all off, we enjoyed some refreshing Thai Iced Tea and finished with their delicious Mango Sweet Rice for dessert. I highly recommend this spot if you are in the area looking for excellent Thai and Teriyaki options with a great menu selection. We will definitely be ordering from here again! read more

I got the pineapple fried rice and the curry, and both were really satisfying. The fried rice had a nice mix of flavors with just the right amount of pineapple, and the curry had a little kick without being too spicy. I'll definitely be back to order those again. read more

Waited (only customeers in the shop) for over five minutes to order. OH NO, could not just order. Was told to take a menu and sit down. We did. After another five minutes, we went and ask if they were going to take our ordeer. They said yes, you have to come and order at the counter. Menu said $5.50 for tofu salad rolls. I ordered, and a Thai Ice tea. Got bill, charged me 5.95. I said the menu says $5.50. He argued with me. Finally agreed to sell to me for the $5.50 that the menu said. How many people never notice that they are being over charged? I also ordered a Thai ice tea. Got my salad rolls, made in the kitchen and delivered. Still did not have my drink. He took next order and started on a third that had come in then looked at me, like why are you standing here? He finally poured premade Thai ice tea mix in a glass, added ice and then poured the cream over it. A very quick drink to fix. I received my Tofu Salad Rolls. Had 90% letuuce, one small tofu slice 1/8th inch thick and 2 inches long (only) in each roll. Did have large amount of basil leaves (which I like but many people don't and it over powered the entire taste of the salad roll. Was given a small container of peanut sauce which was only enough for one roll. My dinning companion had red curry. It was a good portion, enough for two meals. With a soda it was $20. Neither of us had a problem with the price - seemed fair. PROBLEM: service. None. Would not come and take our order at the counter or at the table (which they instructed us to go sit down). Argued over price. Never smiled. You could not understand him. He would not look you in the face or so you could read lips if that was your challenge. He was just extremely rude during our entire visit. read more

This restaurant really had me conflicted. We had the basil stir fry with tofu, and the mixed vegetable stir fry with chicken. Both were delicious with decent portions. However, the service was very poor. The man that took our order at the counter was unfriendly and seemed annoyed. When my partner went back to the counter to ask for chopsticks after our food was ready, he seemed further annoyed and barely acknowledged him and handed him the chopsticks without even looking at him. There were other people dining there and he made it a point to ask them how everything was before they left, he didn't even bother to ask us. So, although the food was pretty good, I wouldn't recommend this place because of the service. read more

I've done takeout from this location a couple of times and have tried Chicken Teriyaki, Pad Thai and Massaman Curry. The food is consistent, delicious and comes out of the kitchen quickly. The service is friendly too. That said, ~$20 for a lunch for one (with no sides or drink) is a bit high for a casual restaurant like this. read more

Literally my go-to Thai place, and I don't even live nearby. The yellow curry on rice is my favorite, but the yakisoba is also excellent (also, highly recommend the spring rolls!). I asked the servers what they like to eat, and one of them recommended the guay tiew (Thai noodle soup). It was absolutely delicious. It tasted more like Vietnamese than Thai, which was fine. I appreciate how quick everything is prepared, especially on a Friday night after work. The Pad Thai with chicken peanut sauce was seasoned well, although we would have loved just a little bit more of the peanut sauce. The Pad Cashew Nut was also quite good, we appreciated how crisp the veggies - not overcooked and fresh tasting. Serving sizes were adequate enough. Very underwhelmed with our experience. Service picking up was unfriendly and seemed annoyed. Maybe they were having a rough day. As far as the food, for the high prices we expected more. $8 for 2 crab rangoons?? Also never had them in stick form like this, not like what is pictured on their website when you order. Yakisoba noodles with beef and yakisoba with chicken were pretty lacking in the amount of protein, and the veggies were overcooked, lost any crunch. Flavor was good though. Very friendly staff. Generous portions. Good flavor. We split a plate. We had chicken and beef, came with potstickers, rice salad and soup. Teriyaki Beef was a bit fatty, teriyaki chicken breast was very lean and flavorful. Overall it was good, next time I will try the pork or vegetables. read more

While I've never been here to sit down and eat, it's my go-to for Thai takeout. The curries are always delicious, and Tom Kah soup is yummy. I got it when I was feeling under the weather last week and it hit the spot. Never had a bad dish here, and the man working the front is always super friendly! Incredibly tasty food at a great price. I love the salad rolls, it's all about the peanut sauce which Teriyaki Thai ETC nails perfectly! The portion you get of delicious fried rice is huge! Always great. The food is genuinely delicious and good portions. It's not very often I finish one of their meals in one sitting and almost always have leftovers. One time I put in an online order and they closed before I could get there. I let them know, went on a business trip, came back to the restaurant days later and they remembered that I had a free meal with them from that incident, I didn't even have to bring it up. One time I ordered MILD spice, and I was dying in the bathroom at 4 am later that night. (Yeah it was insultingly spicy) so if you don't like a lot of spice don't get any at all. You can order most items without it. Otherwise these guys knock it out of the park every time and are extremely nice people. The restaurant is always very clean and inviting even though I never sit down there. Just go here and try it out if you haven't yet. It's great. read more

Just grabbed some take out and it was ok. Food was ready on time. Reasonably priced. The person I paid, paid no attention to me, or asked if I wanted chopsticks or hot sauce. Just took my money and my 15% tip and turned around with out a word and was busy again. The food was food. The noodles were oily. The teriyaki beef was ok, but the noodles tasted stronger that the beef if that makes sense. So the noodles kinda dominated the dish, but in a salty and oily way which wasn't great. Veg was good. We also got the shrimp salad rolls. They were great. Get these. I think the biggest disappointment was the service. If someone gives you money and supports your business and your family with their dollar, smile at them even if it's fake. Greet them warmly, and try to make them feel welcome and appreciated. Very disappointed, walked in asking if they have gluten free iteams the man at the register points out and says certain items are gluten free sounding like he's knowledgeable. I bought pad Thai with chicken and peanut sauce huge portion so I go home and make a small bowl. It's delicious, but than I feel sick immediately. So I called and tell them I'm celiac and I want to make sure that there's not gluten and he goes there's gluten on the chicken I AM so pissed off. I stopped here a little over two weeks ago with my daughter. Then, the food was fast, delicious and priced right. The server was friendly and efficient. We loved it and commented that we could hardly wait to introduce this place to other people we know. However, I returned again but this time with my husband. I ordered the same thing as before (Pad Thai Chicken) and since he doesn't eat chicken he ordered a BEEF curry dish. The server was a little curt and impatient with us. No one was behind us in line but since it was lunch time there were others eating at the tables. The server kept prompting him to order chicken this or chicken that. Red curry, rice and beef was his choice. Our lunch came. My Pad Thai was with chicken and his with chicken too. The red curry, rice and "BEEF" dish was taken back to the server because it was not beef (unless you're familiar with a white meat cow). The server argued that it was beef and even brought two little dishes to show us what chicken looked like and what beef looked like. I'm not sure about you but there is absolutely no way I'm going to eat white beef. If their beef is white, I don't think anyone should be eating it. I took pictures and have posted them. Would we eat here again? Absolutely not. We were totally turned off by the server/cashier. The proper thing to do would have been to offer another dish but not to argue and argue more about their white meat belonging to a cow ... a chicken maybe or even a pig ... but not a cow. read more
