When we're done it was time for us to leave and we gave them cash tip. The lady who I tipped raised her voice on me and demanded more. I told her that's all I had. She gave me the worst attitude and stormed off. Please do yourself a favor, there are better and professional places than this. To me it felt like they don't care about the service they provide for their clients but focused on the money. It seems like a lot of people experienced bad service here. Also the lady who stood on me for my massage was a big back so I had difficulty breathing at some parts of the massage. I even asked for more pressure, hoping it would improve, but she just kept using her elbows in a way that felt uncomfortable and unskilled. On top of that, she kept stopping throughout the session, which made the whole experience feel disjointed and unprofessional. What made it worse is that she didn't even massage my hands, arms, or feet, which I would expect from a full 60-minute massage. And to be clear, I didn't even get the full time. We started around 6:52 PM, and she left around 7:35-7:40 PM. That's not 60 minutes. Another thing that really bothered me was how the oil was removed. She used a dry tissue or paper towel to wipe my back, which felt rough and uncomfortable. Meanwhile, my husband's masseuse used a proper warm/wet towel on him. I don't understand why the service was so inconsistent between the two of us. I left feeling worse than when I came in. My back actually felt strained, like a nerve was irritated from the random elbow pressure. I was visibly upset and honestly didn't feel like tipping, but still left $5 out of courtesy. She is a talented massage therapist with a lot of experience and will give you your money's worth. Some other places they give you a "feel good" massage that may as well be a back-rub. Here, you will have some work done and walk out feeling better. When you start the session she asks you how you are doing and takes notes. She listens and asks you what kind of work you want or where. For example, do you want focus on an area or an all over massage.

Swedish massage, medium, not too hard. Most massage spas offer soft, medium, or hard pressures. I prefer soft to medium. That's exactly what I ask with Susan and that is what I receive. If you want a hard deep tissue massage, I'd recommend Carmen. She's very experienced and knows exactly where your pain or discomfort is, and believe me, she will definitely get your pain out. Depending on your pain, depends on how much pressure Carmen will put on you. Two different times, Jenny (the owner) performed Thai massages on me. She does not offer that massage. She only performed Thai massage because I have been going there for years. Omg, that was so painful. However, when I walked out, my body was like jello. At that time, I didn't live far away. I was able to drive home and fell right to sleep, waking up totally refreshed. Today, Susan worked on me. I always get a 90 minute massage, which costs $98, plus I give 25 to $30 tip. That's just me. My tip is giving extra thanks. Today, though, I caught myself snoring twice. I love Health Day Spa. It's dark, always quiet unless a guest is talking loud. There's soft relaxing music playing.
