I was craving some menudo and wanted to try a new place. For $8, they give a good size for several servings. It was not salty and the tripe and tendon meat was soft. They do give a good amount of chopped onions and cilantro, lemon wedges, chili flakes, and oregano. I had went to another restaurant down the street near Riverside dr. It's on B street. Small parking lot outside, there's some street parking.

It's a little hidden liquor store with a meat market in the back. Liquor store it's self is clean and has many option of drinks and snacks, I purchased 2 Mexican cokes adding up to $7.69 and be sure to bring cash unless you want to be charged a card fee of $1. Now for the meat market I pre-ordered 2 menudos for pick up over the phone. When I got there , there was a line of 3 people ahead of me and when I got to the front they told me I could have skipped the line since I ordered over the phone (ohh well) but I was given my food quickly and already packed . They do have different sizes, small menudo for $10, medium for $11 and large for $12 . I got mine both large and one with pata which I would assume was not extra charge since it still came out to $24 even (most places charge and extra $3 or more for pata). It is CASH ONLY for the meat market so be sure to bring cash or they do have an ATM machine which I'm sure charges extra. I removed one star due to the fact that when I got home it was almost lukewarm even though from the time I called to the time I got there it was only 5 minutes, so I did have to heat it up, but the flavor was on point, meat was perfectly cooked, and there was more meat than corn grain which if you like that this is the place for you. Usually at all the other places that sell menudo they give a few tortillas with the order and with my menudo I got nothing so I'm wondering if you have to add it on, it would of been nice if they had asked over the phone if we wanted some if it's not included. For the packaging of the menudo they do put Saran wrap and it comes with enough oregano with Chile, lemons, cilantro and onion (the cilantro and onion was mixed together in a bag). They didn't provide spoons so if you're not going home make sure you ask! I would come back to try their tamales and chicharrón though!

I moved into Chino about a month ago. After finally settling in, I had to find a great Menudo spot in my new community. So I turned to Yelp and began my research. Within a few minutes, after it's positive reviews outweighed it's negatives, I decided I would venture out into the crisp Sunday morning air. I parked outside the mini market and what was a soon- to-be Menudo Oasis for me. How local was this place? Only A whopping 3 minute drive from home. That's insignificant though, as I would now drive a great distance for this place. The service was fun and friendly. I felt like I was at my "tíos house" as I brought my empty pot to be filled with pure deliciousness. The servings are well portioned. The price is per cup, and the cup looked like it was 24-32 ounces. I made the tough decision to buy 3 servings since I have a family of 3 to feed at home. Cow's feet are another delicacy available upon request. I'm not too fond of them but they are there for those of you that are into that sort of thing. I also couldn't pass up on a dozen hand made tortillas for $4. Oregano, cilantro/white onion mix, red roasted dried peppers, and lime is included. I rarely carry cash and even more so during a pandemic. So when I asked the gentleman if he would take my payment there, he told me cash is better or he could take my watch. Just FYI, my watch didn't hold a high value. Just to think about it, he was never going to accept my payment. (Wow, what a fail). He handed me over a handwritten receipt and asked me to pay at the front. I will be back for more on a future Sunday.

First time coming to Chino's meat market and they did not disappoint! I definitely recommend the Menudo! Good vibes and great service!

New to the area and this hidden gem in the middle of dozens of Mexican places to eat is delicious and convenient. Chino Meat Market is both a mini mart with a meat market in back. They sell not only meat but, tamales, tacos and the best Menudo. Reminds me of the corner stores I grew up with. You can bring your own pot for the menudo or they have containers. I opted to pay for the fresh homemade tortillas instead of the store bought ones you get free with your menudo. Plus, the Oaxaca cheese. I was in heaven!! Oh, they also have killer chicharrones and Champurado. Can you tell I am a fan?? The best part, it's walking distance. The place only has one small bar height table. So, it is mainly a "To Go" place.

My husband buys menudo every weekend and is always in search for the best one . Well today looks like he finally found it . This little hole in the wall has excellent menudo . Coming from my husband that is the most Mexican man I know besides Vicente Fernandez (which i personally don't know ) its means a lot . Friendly staff except the guy at the entrance but he doesn't work in the food part of the store so it don't matter . The gentleman serving the food was super friendly and packed the food perfectly! Can't wait to try the birria !

Food Rocks! The menudo is by far the best in the area. The place is hard to find and parking is not the best but definitely worth it.

The food, service, and atmosphere have been consistently excellent, which is why we keep coming back. The cornbread is hands down the best cornbread I've ever had. It's warm, soft, and incredibly flavorful, and when paired with their house butter, it's absolutely perfect. We loved it so much that we ordered extra to take home and enjoy later. We started with the beef tartare as an appetizer, and it was really good. The combination of the crispy chips and fresh arugula complemented the tartare well and made for a unique and flavorful starter. For my entrée, I ordered the Fancy Burger, and it was just as delicious as I remembered. It was cooked perfectly, juicy, and packed with flavor. The service has been outstanding every time we've visited. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and always helps make the dining experience even better!
