Food truck purchase. Brisket was delicious, but needed to be trimmed a bit, just a little more fat than I enjoy (but my pup liked it!). Huge portion for a sandwich, actually ate it without the bun. They arrived and set up on the street Infront of our building. The smell and their large truck/trailer drew not only our staff, but staff from all the other businesses in the area. Last weekend, we wanted to look for a day trip to do some unique take out and came across Oso's on social media. So we jumped in our vehicle and headed down to grab some BBQ. I would say it was worth the trip. We ordered some tri tip, chicken and brisket. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!!! First the flavor was plentiful, thou our order came with sauces, the flavor of the meat made it so sauces were not needed. The location is easy to get to and street parking is ample. Ever since I started smoking meat at home, I've acquired a taste for REAL smoked food, and wow do I wish I knew how they do it. Everything I had was amazing! And don't forget the drink! I was hesitant on getting the strawberry lemonade because food trucks typically use a mix, but this was real lemonade! AWFULLLLL !!!! DO NOT EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT EATING HERE. My boyfriend and I got food poisoning from this truck that came to our apartment complex this past month. We were so sick and had shit coming out of both ends for a whole 24 hours. I had to get an IV because I was so dehydrated. We only decided to get food from here because we had a free combo coupon. Maybe that meant if it's free I'll give them the old food since they're not paying anyway. This was such an awful experience and I've truly never experienced anything like this before. Finally went to OSO Smoke BBQ truck and it was soooo good!!! Super friendly and the meat was so tender and the sauce was awesome!!! We got the smoked tri tip and medium level sauce (I like really but the hubby.....) The gentleman who made my order said the hot sauce was awesome but not for everyone... Next time for sure. The pork ribs where to die for, that's all I've tried until today. Oh ya, if like it hot as I do, they have a Barb b que sauce called havasu heat(I think) it might've been habanero heat, it really shoots up your internal heat meter. They were very nice, however, they were out of a lot of items on the menu- no collard greens, yams, baked beans, lemonade, or potato salad. We did not receive all of the sides or sauces we ordered, even with substitutions. In addition, the meat was tough and fatty- especially the tri-tip and the brisket.
