I can't believe I've never heard about this place in Ridgewood. Right off the main street is super convenient to get to. It's actually pretty unassuming inside and they don't in my opinion do a well job of displaying their cookies. We got two specials of the week, a lemon cookie and a snickerdoodle. They both had this delicious drizzle, and they warmed them up for us before we left. I preferred the lemon and could not stop eating it. My kids prefer the snickerdoodle one. Both however, were pretty good and prices were on par with other local cookies stores. I would 100% be back to grab cookies to go. We came to the Cookie Connect in Ridgewood last night as part of Yelp's Summer of Sweets event! We made sure to get dinner nearby first and definitely saved room for dessert! For this experience we got to try the cookie of the week and the cookie of the month which was the Neopolitan and the Oatmeal Cream Pie. They warmed the cookies up for us and we immediately devoured them. Of course, we wanted more so we bought the PB&J and Stuffed Peanut Butter Cup to bring home! This has been one of my favorite Yelp events so far The location is small but there's a few tables to sit. Opened in 2019 and situated on Chestnut Street in Ridgewood, I came to The Cookie Connect right after opening this afternoon and had the entire store to myself to pick up my 2023 Yelpie award for being crowned'review updater of the year' (most review updates). This establishment specializes in large, chewy cookies and sugary, sweet ice cream creations. The dough is made on-site by hand and aged overnight. Each and every cookie is prepared fresh by hand. The fact that it's open late is the biggest bonus, just in case someone needs a late-night snack. Greeted by the staff, Amaya, upon entering, the cookies come in all different flavors; 12 are featured at a time, such as fruity pebbz, Nutella stuffed chocolate chip, coconut caramel, fluffatella s'mores, and cinnamon roll. The workers are very unwelcoming - they all stare at you awkwardly and the cashier is as bland as a robot. I felt very awkward being inside. The cookies are also not good? This a pretty unique spot in Ridgewood. Different from the typical ice cream spots since cookies are their specialty and the base of the dessert. To break down the experience, I would give the quality of the cookies and ice cream itself 3 stars, staff 5 stars and ambiance 3 which balances my rating to a 4 star review. Tada! Update by adding two stars to my original review which bumped them to FIVE STARs. You heard that right folks! All it took was a revisit after they've been in the groove since opening. I have to say, the counters were lickable clean and the service and timing was excellent! The cookies varied in sizes but just like humans, no cookie should be alike! They were delicious as ever and the place looked amazing! I did say I was going to try something else on the menu but they also had all flavors on the board available! How could I not! Future me is excited to try their special shakes but I'm not sure I can 'shake' the cravings for their cookies! I am not sure if this place deserves 4 or 5 stars, I'm going to round up to be a nice guy. I am pretty stoked over this place, i have been following them on Instagram for quite some time and they always post amazing photos. I happened to be in the area so i stopped in and picked up a box of 8 cookies. I pretty much got one of everything they had at the time. WOW was i impressed. They reheat the cookies right in front of you in this "special" oven, and then dress each one with its appropriate toppings. These cookies really did stay soft for MANY days after i bought them. I think my favorite was the fruity pebbles, or birth cake! Everyone that tried them loved them, getting these for a party is a great idea. You can cut them all in half and everyone could try all the unique flavors. I need to come back here for one of their cookie milkshakes most definitely. Why was i debating between 4 or 5 stars? price? around $2.80 a cookie is a little brutal. it was about $24 for 8 cookies. For Ridgewood, and the quality, it's justified, it could be worse. The cookies are generally pretty complex, with various interesting ingredients. They also serve ice cream with different cereal toppings. The actual store is pretty sparse and bare looking. I was hoping to find a delicious cookie place nearby so decided to give cookie connect a try. I ordered online (right now they only do only order). I did not have the cookies hot as I was waiting to try these cookies out with my BF. I thought the cookies themselves were too sweet (tasted more like sugar than the flavors themselves). I was disappointed I paid 13/14 dollars for a box. I think even if I had them hot, I wouldn't have enjoyed them because it just tasted like sugar. This is just my opinion though. Hubby and I were craving something sweet late Saturday evening. We saw this place closes at 2am! So we decided to give it a try! Walking in, and looking at the menu, it instantly reminded me of the other dessert spot called Milk an' Cookies. So I'm familiar with the process of how to order.
