These cookies have been my downfall. I believe they are the perfect cookie for someone who likes their cookies more on the moist side, but with a caveat. I tried them out from right after they opened, so I was able to watch a bit of an evolution. There seemed to be a lot of employee turnover at this location. As a result, there are days that they are excellent and others that a new person didn't seem to have a handle on the baking. I was in the parking lot the last few days and the store looks like it was closed down. Not sure if that is the case or something is going on because of the recent holiday. I love spontaneously finding a great dessert place! And lets be honest, it will always be cookie time in my wold, so i was super happy when we stumbled upon Chip cookies. Walked in around 1pm and it was quiet in the cute little cookie shop. We were greeted by the lovely server at the front who gave us a run down since it was the first time in this place. They have their go-to cookies they can prepare for you or you can make your own creation with options they have on the ready. We opted for a few of their signature cookies: Chocolate chip Tres Leches Biscoff Another chocolate one i forgot the name of All were great, rich, and filling! Since we got a pack of 4 cookies, we were able to get a cup of coffee gratis with our order. Let me start off by saying I'm a tough judge on chocolate chip cookies! Are these really good? Sure but I felt something was missing. The dough tasted too bland. But they are nice and soft. I'm just used to Bristol farm cookies (iykyk) and these were compared to Bristol but they don't compete. Get the day old cookies for 3 dollars. Only difference in taste is one is hot and one isn't. If I could describe Chip cookies in one word, it would be decadence. I heard about this place from TikTok and had no idea that this dessert spot was hidden in a shopping center I had been to numerous times and hadn't noticed it at all. I went in and my server took me through the process. I ordered four cookies--two plain chocolate chip ones (which were still enormous) and two chip fan favorites with all the bells and whistles. The Cookies are huge! I really loved the tres leches and the oreo dunk, though just a heads up that they are pretty sweet thanks to the toppings. If you want a decadent cookie, this is for you! These were yummy! And they give you the option to customize their cookies with frosting, ice cream, or toppings. Recommend for a special occasion or a get together. I got the biscoff and the sugar cookie with no extra toppings. My partner got the OG with some ice cream on the side. There are a lot of flavor options which kind of reminded me of Crumbl. The biscoff and OG cookies were softer with a lightly crispy edge. I will 10000% get the biscoff again. I'm into a more doughy cookie so these were perfect for me. I wasn't as into the sugar cookie. It was solid but on the crispier side so the added sprinkles felt like a bit much. I appreciated the cream cheese frosting though. After tip, this cost us $22. So it's not your cheapest option, but they're also not small. I'd say these 2 cookies will be at least 3 servings for me and my partners cookie will be 2 servings. Not so bad in those terms. Small store located in the large Ralph's shopping area. Cookies are large, perfect amount of crisp on the outside, and soft inside. Thick and quite substantial. And most importantly, not too sweet. If you want sweet, you can add frosting or toppings but I skipped right by these. I love that they have a "boneless" cookie. Not gonna lie, I had a pretty tragic experience today. Which really sucked because Chip used to be my favorite cookie spot. I came pretty much every week, definitely a regular. I probably should've taken that as a sign to come back later, but I waited another 20 minutes until the owner showed up. She let me in, which I appreciated at first, but things went downhill quickly. While she didn't make the cookies herself, the girl who did, didn't do a great job. To be fair, it looked like they were running low on supplies, so maybe that played a role. Then the owner tried to upsell me from 8 to 12 cookies, which, okay, business is business, but then she charged me extra for the boxes to carry them in. Like... that was her idea. Why am I paying more for that? The whole thing just felt very transactional, which is not how it normally is. Then I got back to work, only to find the icing on all the cookies had melted during a 30-minute car ride. Super weird, because I've reheated these cookies in the oven with icing on them before and they've held up fine. But today, just the sun through a tinted car window can ruin them I guess. Whenever I'm in an area I don't go to very often, I check Yelp for any good bakeries or dessert spots. So I decided to pop in here at about 9:00 p.m. on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised to see that all their flavors were available. The staff here is super friendly and explained how everything works. You can get plain cookies, already topped and decorated cookies, or add toppings of your choosing to cookies. I opted for just plain naked cookies because I'm not a big fan of frosting and I really just wanted to try the cookies themselves. They're puffy in the middle because some of them have filling but they're cooked to perfection. A little crispy on the outside and soft but not undercooked on the inside. They were the perfect level of sweetness and I'd say the salted chocolate chip was the best, but they were all great. My husband said it was probably some of the best cookies he's ever eaten. I came here to buy a nice treat for my mother, and was not disappointed. The very friendly woman helping me gave me her suggestions based on what I was looking for, and she went above and beyond to make sure my mom was well taken care of. I could've used more sea salt on my OG cookie, but I really enjoyed the s'mores (sad this was a limited time item!) and biscoff cookies. The icing on the sugar was a little sweet for me after a few bites but I really liked the flavor and texture of the cookie. I stopped by another time b/c I love all things cookies and cream. Ambiance is very nice, modern with a touch of old times vibe. Service- I went for a pick up order and I did wait what seemed like a long time. They didn't hear that someone came in. Many minutes later, a security guard walked in. I thought she was there to buy cookies but realized she was there as their security. They weren't fresh because the order was for extras made that would have gone to waste; but they were flavorful. I like slight crisp edges with chewy throughout. These are not like that. They're huge, and thick like half almost half a baseball, which when baked can sometimes be more along of bread like- but these were pretty gooey/soft. Would I buy again? Yeah but I can't say it's my favorite. They do have other things to try they could make it a favorite; they offer vanilla ice cream scoops for on top of a fresh warm cookie! The customer service was super friendly. Both times I've visited, I've gone around 7PM when it's not too busy. The injection and toppings section looked fun but a little too adventurous for me as a "not too sweet" pushing 30 type of person. For a moment I wished there were tables or chairs to make it a fun hangout spot for friends or dates. With that, customers might stay too long. I normally do not write reviews if I have had an unhappy experience, although after hearing that another person has been affected by the mistreatment I went through, I felt the need to back her up and speak out. Working at Chip Cookies was one of the worst experiences I've ever had, especially when the new owners, Sunita and Soman, arrived. Employees constantly dealt with late paychecks, short tips, NO breaks, and being scheduled to work entire shifts completely alone. It was exhausting, unsafe, and unfair. They were also racist and fat-phobic to multiple employees and insisted that their work ethic was based on their appearance, which was truly the dealbreaker for me, and never okay to say. After these events continued to occur, I contacted corporate about it, but nothing was ever done, which was truly disappointing considering that my coworker and I were basically running the business entirely alone while we were there, blinded by how we were being treated and gaslit daily by the owners. They continued to treat employees poorly, and the store was often understaffed with impossible expectations. I would also like to add that every employee at the time left due to their conditions after dealing with their lies and manipulation, but nothing has been able to make a change, even through Chip Cookies Cooperate. Whether you're considering working here or eating here, know that the way employees are treated is awful. The toxic environment and lack of care from corporate show that this company doesn't value its workers at all. Until major changes are made, I cannot recommend supporting Chip Cookies in any way. read more
