We sat inside and I ordered a simple brunch with just 2 strips of bacon, 2 over medium eggs and waffles. The server asked me if I wanted a full size waffle or half size and as I was watching the other people order I noticed people were not hesitating to order the full size option and I thought dang, they are not gonna finish that, so I opted for the half serving which was 2 pretty good sized waffles. Once I took my 1st bite, I suddenly regretted only ordering the half size option. I instantly knew right then and there why people ordered the full size. A waffle is a waffle right guys? Wrong... not this waffle. This waffle will make you feel love inside that you didn't know existed. As we were walking inside the restaurant I actually was picking a fight with my husband for no apparent reason... possibly because I was hungry but after I took my first bite, I forgot about the argument haha. I told him he needs to bring me here ALL THE TIME. I am yet to come back a 2nd time and I already anticipate loving it the 2nd time. We drove by one day hoping to have a 2nd try here and it was really busy so we didn't make the stop. I look forward to coming back and the next time around I will not hesitate to order a full size waffle order. The staff was really nice, our server was this young lady who was waiting on all the tables inside and some outside was on top of it. She was really pleasant and the gentlemen in the back were also nice. The restaurant was clean when we visited and the service was really quick. We parked down the street, the walk wasn't too bad, we didn't know where to park but I read some of the other reviews and I guess there's a parking in the back somewhere. If you live nearby and you haven't visited, do yourself a favor and try them out. If you travel from far away like me and you're looking for a breakfast or brunch spot with delicious waffles, this is the spot.

I also ordered the craft lemonade which was delicious and has free refills! We do love going here in noho! Would suggest going early so there's no wait.

Please try, and this is a large waffle, so you can easily share with a friend! My friend said the breakfast burrito with their sauce and their plain waffle with berries was also really good when she came! Service: The waiter was so nice, and you order in the front desk, and then they bring your plate to you and clean up too. One of the waiters noticed my bag was still on the chair, and he took it off and gave it to me in my hand, and this made my day :)! Ambiance: This cafe is so cute, and has almost a Bridgerton-like wall paper. There is ice water, which you can self serve. We parked on the street nearby and walked over. There was sparse tables available so we chose a 2 top in the corner. Once we sat down we noticed none of the tables we're wiped clean, just quickly bussed. I ordered the traditional breakfast which was delicious. The eggs, bacon, and potatoes were perfect. The crepes were honestly flavorless but I drenched them in syrup and they were okay. The little croissant was super salty and dry, I didn't eat it. I also got a vanilla latte and it was perfect! 10/10 My bf got the matcha latte, and he didn't like it. Said it tasted like all syrup.

Has limited seating inside and out so get there early if you can! I love the decor with the butterflies on the wall and they are playing chill jams. They have a cute chalkboard off the menu and a cool photo wall is celebrities who have visited. My fiancé and I tried the Huevos Rancheros plate, Peaches and Cream Waffle, and the Thai Style Fried Chicken plate. Along with their two drinks; Sunset Refresher & Blueberry Vanilla Cold Foam Matcha. Huevos Rancheros were a hit. To be honest I thought the dish to be a small serving at first. But it's actually a good portion. You get three tostadas stacked and layered with black beans and mozzarella and topped off with over easy eggs and salsa. I loved how the corn tortillas maintained their crunch and never got soggy. The habanero salsa that it came had a good KICK. Peaches and Cream waffle was good as well. It is seasonal so we jumped on the opportunity. Waffle was thick and fluffy that came with powdered sugar and cinnamon. The peaches were also thick and the sauce it came was light and sweet. Can never go wrong with ice cream and waffles. The Thai Style chicken was pleasant surprise. Before we ate the chicken, I tried a piece of the breading and I knew it was gonna be a good one. Lots of flavor from the tom yum seasoning and the chicken was a decent size. It's not spicy and comes with a sweet sauce to dip in. The bell peppers balanced out this dish. I was a fan of the sunset refresher. It's a mix of hibiscus, pineapple and lemonade. It's more tart than sweet but refreshing. The blueberry cold foam iced matcha was solid. Not too sweet and properly balance. Overall a good brunch spot with a large menu guaranteed to have you come back to try other things. A little pricey.

They have chairs and tables for you to hang out and eat/drink what you purchased. There's also just benches if you wanna lounge. I've seen people here working on their laptop and groups of people around one table so the vibe is chill and friendly. It also depends on what time of day you come. Weekends usually get packed. As for the drinks and food. What we've had here has always been good. Best to eat their Croffle and baked goods there. Although Matcha is not for my liking, I'm more for their Taro Drink. B says the Matcha here is one of the better ones she's had. I have to agree even their Matcha Ice Cream is good. We get is the Matcha Croffle + Ice Cream, Matcha Einspanner, Taro Einspanner, and their cakes. Only thing I knocked down a star is because Not all the workers know the answers to your questions of what is in what food item or if you can substitute the milks. So that's something Cafe Upper should train all staff. Especially if people have food allergies.

I've been here twice and on the first visit, it took awhile to get seated. We came again this month and was happy to see it seems they expanded their indoor dining to have a whole other room able to seat more diners on busy weekends! I'm usually a light brunch eater, but if you're going here, you have to order the Mexican food staples. My boyfriend loves their breakfast tacos (super hearty, 2 would be enough but a 3rd was taken home). Super generous portion with their cooked meat on top - SO good (classic bacon, or their mole and barbacoa). The Chipotle chilaquiles were absolutely delicious! I've never had an authentic Chipotle sauce taste like that... super creamy, and homemade, not overtly smoky like you usually have at other places. We also had their cafe de olla cold brew (since it was a hot summer heat wave), and it was good - classic with their cafe de olla spices - but I'm sure their classic hot cafe de olla is even better. I believe I've gotten their other regular brunch items, but wish I just opted for their Mexican favorites since that's their bread and butter here. Great business. Great service. Love to support!
