I visited the Provo store to order a box of cookies to send to the MTC. While I was there, I was informed by the staff that I could order online and it would be delivered for me to the MTC. They even mentioned that it could be delivered warm! I was pretty excited about that. With that information, I decided to just order a box for my family and I and not to order a box to send to the MTC (I would just order it through online). On Oct 11, I ordered a box of cookies online and addressed it to a specific Sister Missionary at the MTC. I scheduled it to be delivered on Friday, OCt 12 between 7:00 to 7:30 pm. I even got a confirmation via text and a link to the order. I didn't get another text from them until Monday, Oct 15. The text told me that the Chip Cookies I ordered were on the way and would be delivered October 15..... I was confused because I scheduled my cookies to be delivered last Friday, Oct 12.... After receiving that text I emailed the Sister Missionary right away because she was scheduled to leave the MTC the morning of Wednesday, Oct 17. To add to my confusion, I received another text from Chip in the afternoon on Wednesday, Oct 17. The text said that my cookies "has been shipped." I was frustrated and confused because it wasn't delivered the date and time I scheduled it for AND I received contradicting texts about the delivery! The Sister Missionary was finally able to reply to me and she said she never got any cookies. This was a HORRIBLE experience. I ordered a $13 box of cookies that was not delivered on time, told me confusing notifications, and the person I addressed it to never received it. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. read more

So. DAMN. GOOD! This place has huge cookies that make you feel happy satisfied and warm inside. Perfect for a bad break up, getting fired, or just any bad day. These cookies will for sure turn your frown upside down. My flavorite (see what I did there?) one is the basic chocolate chip. Be warned though after you power through one (or 5) you'll feel like a fatty. So find a judgement free zone and sink you teeth into the goodness that is these wonderfully luscious, fluffy, gooey, amazing morsels from heaven. Queue the angels singing. read more

Heard the hype about this place and had to give it a try. The hype didn't do it justice! So good!! These cookies are massive! Each cookie is good for two people (or one very hungry person). You could go through the effort of making your own dessert, buying milk, etc. but this tastes better and is way more fun. We ordered 8 cookies for $23 and said that we wanted cookies delivered 9-9:30 pm. At 9:45, we called to see where the cookies were and were told that they were 15 minutes away. I asked if they gave discounts for late deliveries. The customer service rep said, "uhhh..... no. I don't think so." Anyway, 15 minutes later, my wife got a text saying that our cookies have arrived. Unfortunately, they arrived at the wrong address in the wrong city. I'm not sure how they arrived at this location given how many times we repeated the address over the phone when we place the original order. After three more phone calls, we were given a refund, but we didn't get any cookies. They didn't even offer anything for the poor service. Chip does one thing and one thing only, and that's make chocolate chip cookies. Unfortunately, while you might expect them to have honed their single product to perfection they are instead mediocre at best. I chock this up to two things. 1) That a lot of people don't bake anymore and most of my peers would probably rather spend an unholy amount of money orering cookes from a local dessert shop on door dash than spend half an hour making them on their own. I'm a decent baker, although I would never call myself a great one, yet even I can make chocolate chop cookies that are noticeably better than the ones Chip bas to offer. And people who actually are great bakers like my grandma, or my girlfriend's mom, or a few of our friends can make cookies that absolutely blow Chip's to smithereens. 2) In lieu of baking, most of the cookies people eat these days are instead store bought. So sadly, their baseline for what a good cookie is becomes the generic store bought junk you get at Wal-Mart or (insert local grocery chain). So are Chip's better than those? Sure. Are they better than the cookies you get at say, Subway? Sure... but sadly, not by much. Are they better than any even half-way competently made homemade cookie? No way. And it sets a sadly low bar for what locally sourced, artisan baked goods are supposed to be like. In reviewer notes that Chip's cookies are better than Crumbl's and I really feels that this is patently untrue. I've had Chip's three times and I've had Crumbl's maybe half a dozen and I see no way that Chip wins (or that it's honestly even close) in a head-to-head competition. I really feel like Chip's insanely high reviews and local reputation must be largely due to what I call the "Voodoo Doughnuts" effect, that is were a decent local business attracts a cult following due to a combination of media hupe and residents wanting to champion a small, local chain, and over time this results in the business getting an insanely inflated reputation that it in no way actually deserves (if you truly think that Voodoo Doughnuts are five star doughnuts, then I can recommend a good half dozen doughnut spots that will absolutely blow your mind). read more
