Hubby got the Tin Lizzy, with real bits of toffee so if you're a toffee lover, this is a must flavor to try. We also tried the French Silk Pie, which was really tasty and a definite flavor for chocolate lovers. I couldn't resist having their Coffee Chocolate Chip. It was instant CRUSH at first bite! Their regular strawberry was alright but had to get for the little girl who liked simple flavors. The place was clean and very inviting. They have a huge variety that would please any pallet and all the options are down right delicious. Priced a little higher than average, the ice cream you'll find here is far above average in quality, texture and flavor. PLUS they give your little ones a free baby cone with sprinkles that is just perfect for their tiny little hands and appetites. My personal favorite flavor is monkey business followed by, in no particular order, black raspberry chocolate chunk, caramel apple, oreedough, blue monster, French silk pie, graham central station, and orange creamsicle. There are seasonal flavors too, so even if you think you've tried them all, (which you totally haven't) there's always something different on the menu! Everyone who works here has always been very kind and they get us served very quickly. We went to Handel's in American Fork last week and we're so impressed with their ice cream, plus we were able to get some favorite flavors. My husband loves nuts in his ice cream and I'm a peanut butter lover. He had rocky road and I think mine was called Peanut Butter Dream. Friday night, we decided to go back to Handel's only we decided to go to the Orem store since we live in Orem. They did not have the same flavors available as the American Fork store. My wife and I shared Oree Dough and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie, both of which were delicious and highly recommended. And because NOBODY wants to lose any of that deliciousness to the floor, we were given a cup/lid to ensure that we could enjoy all of our Handel's Homemade ice cream as we ate it under the sun. Is this my fourth different Handel's Ice Cream location in the past month?! Whoops.... Guys, Handel's ice cream is QUALITY. It's so good!!! Very fresh and flavorful and creamy. They have great, unique flavors, AND they let you upgrade your single scoop to a double scoop for free if you check in on Yelp and show them your coupon. This time I wanted to try something new, so I tried the Spouse in a House (or something like that?) and French Silk Pie. Both were good, but I think I will stick with my all-time favorites next time: Monkey Business, Blue Monster, and Coconut Cream Pie. I'm super picky about chocolate ice creams! It has to be balanced, not sickeningly sweet, and worth the calories. I also adore their coconut caramel delight. It has a mild caramel flavor with enough coconut to satisfy this coconut addict. Also, the coconut caramel cookies embedded inside were super yummy, and the whole blend reminded me of Girl Scout Samoa cookies. So, I paired it with the dark chocolate. HEAVEN!! -The cookie Oree dough-- smash hit with my kids who are cookie dough conisourres. It was so hard to choose an ice cream flavor there were so many amazing options! I got a milkshake with their buckeye ice cream. One of my friends got a brownie sundae that was HUGE! I had one scoop of the Coconut and almost turned around to have them add another scoop it was that divine. I knew my husband loves ice cream as much as I do so I got a quart to go. I picked French Silk Pie. It's like a rich creamy pie but cold like ice cream. The perfect combination. I just found out they have a location down the street from me. The brownie dough ice cream is soo goodd!! Would highly recommend that flavor. Plenty of brownie and cookie dough chunks within vanilla and chocolate ice cream. When we walked in, we were immediately helped by the nicest employee on the planet. He helped us select a flavor we would like, and rang up our order! He was so patient, and gave us full scoops! Very disappointed! I was here on Wednesday for my Yelp Elite Badge Day perk and it was such a pleasure. The worker was very nice and super helpful. This time was like a total 180. The sign outside clearly says "MASKS REQUIRED" but there were at least 6 people waiting in line that had no masks on or in their possession. I have posted photos but put emojis on their eyes to protect their identity. The workers were very frazzled and rude. We had a coupon but didn't realize that it was for the Lehi location. The worker yelled and pointed aggressively instead of just nicely notifying us. We were a little taken aback. She was frustrated and just asked "Do you even know what you want?" We had to quickly tell her. Thankfully they had the flavors we wanted. When we were at check out, the other customers surrounding us were maskless and they were having a hard time with the register. Nothing wrong, just didn't get that vibe, the feeling I have when I'm about to eat something really good. ...... but dang. Their ice cream is amazing. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake, my girls ordered brownie dough, wife ordered chocolate peanut butter brownie. Each was uniquely impressive. This has to be the creamiest ice cream I've ever had. I think it's partly due to the fact that the temperature is perfect. Service was great, absolutely nothing but good things to say about our visit. I could go on and on. Wow! I didn't have the greatest expectations going to Handel's since I've not loved a bunch of the overpriced ice cream places that have been popping up lately. But I was surprised by Handel's! The main thing that impressed me was that I actually thought their ice cream was amazing! It was decidedly better in my experience than other premium handmade ice cream places in the area. I would definitely recommend giving Handel's a try!
