I love Chip. I love that I can order online and have it delivered to my door for a nominal fee. I love the cookies, they're huge and chewy and they keep really well, I can eat them for at least 3 days without a significant decrease in freshness and taste, and it usually takes me that long to finish a box. The flavors of the month are usually made by local celebrities and are always fun to try, you can mix and match flavors in a single box (4 cookies a box). That being said, it is pricey for what amounts to great but not mind-blowing cookies. The flavors of the month are hit and miss, and your other options are severely limited. And for the love of Strawberry Shortcake, why is it acceptable for the entire middle 30% of these cookies to be totally raw? I don't eat cookie dough; I know it's popular, and people love it, which makes me wonder if I'm in the minority. Doesn't matter because I'll never enjoy eating cookie dough. Hey, Chip boys, if you really want to capitalize on your business plan, add an option for those of us who can't tolerate your cookies the way you present the only option. Am I the only one who doesn't understand the hype about these? I've had Chip from my brother bringing some home for us a few times. I wasn't impressed. Tonight, I went there myself for the first time. We had them warm & again not impressed. For my taste, they are overly sweet, too "bready", too thick & undercooked. I like the gooey cookie just like the next person but I don't like them raw inside, which mine were tonight. There's nothing special about them. Two things to note before coming here so that you have correct expectations for this place; 1) there are only two types of cookies to order here. The chocolate chip and another one made with Cadbury eggs. I haven't had the Cadbury flavor. 2) The cookies are $2.50 each. That's not cheap. However, I dare you to make a cookie this tasty, big, fluffy or perfectly cooked. You can't. I promise. There is a really popular grocery chain in the Seattle area called Metropolitan market. I'm not joking when I tell you that Metropolitan market built its entire business off the popularity of it's cookie (called The Cookie) which they claim to have perfected (and everyone in the area agrees). I can tell you in all seriousness that Chip is right up there with The Cookie, albeit it is slightly different ingredients (milk chocolate vs Belgian chocolate, and no walnuts or sea salt). For comparison sake, The Cookie at metropolitan market is $3 each. The Chip cookie is phenomenal. I would gladly come out of my way for a special occasion. read more

I have loved chip since we moved here to Utah. I've ordered so many times I've lost count, pick up, delivery, delivery to friends etc. But I am SO disappointed in their behavior today. They posted this disrespectful pic for Memorial Day. After many people commented and pointed out how inappropriate the pic was, they responded with a snippy comment asking for advice on what to do differently, got many responses on what to do, and made no changes. My brother is in the army but still has his life and I was put off, I can't even imagine how the family of a fallen soldier would feel about this. Using a grave to advertise... I have never been disappointed with their cookies or the service of the employees. Everyone has been friendly and our cookies have been served FRESH in a timely manner. I am a big fan of their monthly flavors! It's pretty much the only way I can convince my husband of getting Chip once a month;) "But we have to try the new flavor!" We have never been disappointed....Reece's Pieces, Chocolate Peppermint, Red Velvet (with cream cheese drizzling sauce)...YUM. I am so excited to try their new Lucky Charms flavor for March. The only thing keeping them from a 5-star rating is a bit personal...I sent a resume in after they posted on their social media about wanting someone to join their marketing team; I didn't hear back from anyone, so I sent in a follow up a week later. Still didn't hear back. Not terribly disappointed that I didn't get to join their team, it's just more professional and polite to let people know the position was filled, they aren't hiring, etc. especially after a follow up has been sent in. I finally tried these cookies yesterday after hearing all the hype, and I will say, they are good. Like, really good. If you love Levain cookies in NYC, but are too poor to fly to NYC just for cookies (me), then you should definitely try them. I finally decided to try Chip cookies after alllll of the hype, and I'm disappointed. I opted to pick the cookies up on location. Customer service was great- delightful and speedy. The girl that served me was very kind and let me know how everything worked. I completely understand the draw for a warm, gooey, fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie. However, I will say that there IS a difference between a "gooey" cookie and an "under-baked" cookie. Chip's cookies were under-baked. Sometimes letting a cookie sit overnight will allow some of the moisture to spread throughout the cookie to make it perfectly soft, so I gave Chip's cookies that chance- didn't happen. This confirms my concern that the cookies just are not being baked completely. I didn't enjoy the milk chocolate chip flavor. For a cookie that is so big, it is way too sweet. It wouldn't have been my first choice, but that's the only option I was given. The price point is insane... $10 for 4 cookies?! I would understand that price for deliver, but for the product and in-store pickup it's steep. To summarize.. I had more faith in people's taste when it comes to cookies. I'll start off by saying that this may not be 100% fair, since I compare all cookies to my wife's cookies, and nobody has come close. These were pretty good though. So I read a lot of reviews talking about how the cookies are so big that they couldn't finish even one. Well, after eating a whole cookie, I can tell you that the size of the cookie is not the reason why most people cannot finish one. It's because it's straight dough in the middle. The outside of the cookie is pretty great, as the taste and texture are how a cookie should be, but when you get into the cookie, the inside is the consistency of peanut butter. Makes it hard to eat, unless you take small bites. (I have a big mouth. I take big bites.) All in all, it's a good cookie, but nothing amazing. Is it worth $2.50 per cookie? So my friend had chip cookies delivered for me and the girl who was delivering it is wiping her nose and then wiped on her shirt then put her fingers in her nose trying to remove her booger( post a video of it and photos on my social media and their site as well) kinda unsanitary especially now with covid or even without covid this situation should have never happened because you don't know if she has a Cold or flu that the customer can get. The cookies were okay. I drove all the way from out of town (about 45 minutes) just to buy these and it was horrible how they treated me. We had been waiting there in line and we weren't helped at all. I guess the place is run out of some side office. It's not a place where you can dine in. You just pick up and go. They come out to you in a line and take your order. It was my first time there and this young girl skips behind me and takes 2 peoples orders until I tell her I had gotten there way before these white kids had gotten there. She must have assumed because I was standing in line with other People of color that we were all together. She didn't apologize or anything for overlooking us after we had been waiting for 10-15 minutes. She's just tapping away and without making eye contact asks, "how many boxes did you want?" I ask her how much it is for a box of cookies and she says, "it's 10.78... but that depends." She holding our card already at this point . Swipes it and Then she runs to the back and doesn't come back. So another young man comes to the front and asks if we have paid, yet and we tell him yes. I know that they have been experiencing a few growing pains, but that is expected with a company that is growing from the ground up as fast as they are.
