First time ever going there and the last time I'll go. Ordered online (was a whopping $13!) Food was ready and I headed to the restaurant, there was 4 people in line in front of me. I went up to the front and stood to the side. It was quite obvious that I was there to pick up food and the workers all glanced at me a bunch of times but I might as well should have just waited in line because I had to wait for all 4 customers to be helped before I could even ask for my food I ordered. By the time I got it my food was cold (amazing how it only took about two seconds out of this guy's time to grab my order and hand it to me!) Food didn't taste that great, cheese wasn't melted, paid for spicy chili sauce and it was definitely not spicy. Very disappointed. read more

I have always loved Chipotle, in fact I just had lunch at the Cascade Mall Chipotle in Portland Oregon and a Chipotle in Seattle WA recently. I'm a huge fan actually, loving everything about them. But I'm afraid I will never return to this Bellis Fair Chipotle. The service was awful if such a thing is even possible at a fast food restaurant. They massively skimped on the amount of ingredients in my bowl. You could tell this is a regular occurrence because the server constructing my bowl tried to use some kind of pyschology on me at the start of the line, basically balking at my request for a little more lettuce when she had put like 1/4 what I would have gotten at any other Chipotle I've ever been to. So it was no surprise when she gave me no more than a tablespoon of guacamole which they charge $1.95 for. Then I stood there and waited for about 5 minutes at the cash register while several employees chatted away right in front of me and noone bothered to stop and say "someone will be with you in a moment". When someone came and swept literally under my feet and stool as I ate my meal and i could taste the dirt she was sweeping and stirring up into the air as I tired to enjoy my meal it was the last straw. This store needs new management and a whole new staff with a better attitude. read more

Great location. Easy access on South side of Bellis Fair Mall. Has it's own outside entrance. Service was fast and efficient. The entire restaurant was impeccably clean. The food was good. I had the salad and selected my favorite ingredients served on a bed of lettuce. Had a side order of chips and homemade salsa. Great place for a quick Mexican meal. read more

My husband and I were thrilled when Chipotle opened in our home town. We go here more than we should. Steak burrito for him and sofritas for me. They are vegan friendly which I love! Wow. Really? In about a line of 8 people at 11:31 (lunch is peaking), 6 employees are standing in the back chatting it up and laughing. Meanwhile a girl is restocking straws, chicken, in abundance, is cooking on a grill (with no cook near it) and a young girl is washing her hands with no intention of hurrying to help customers. To make matters worse, that young girl had a huge gash on her arm that looked tender and red. With no one helping any of us who have been in line for a good 6 minutes, I just left the line and went to another nearby restaurant. Standard food and layout. Nothing crazy in that way. The lines at this place is pretty crazy almost any time of day. I have gone from 430 till 7 and never stand in line for less than 10 minutes. The guacamole is also a little gamey here and gets that brownish tinge that is gross. Not the best location to try. read more

You know although chipotle has been fortunate with all their free advertising through various idiots who continue to make videos about the whole "I love Chipotle!" ordeal, the food is actually quite good. It's nothing more than a fancy Taco Del Mar but it is tasty. The food is expected to taste good considering it's a burrito bar and most burrito bars are good. The problem with this Chipotle is the workers seem to hate their lives. If you're not satisfied with what you're doing then quit. Stop working slow, stop moping around, and just quit... This review hovers between a 2 and a 3 star but my gut opinion is exactly that of a 2 star: I've had better. My husband and I were in the area as we were picking up a package in Blaine and we were in the mood for a quick snack. We weren't too hungry so we just grabbed a burrito bowl to share. To be honest, I don't see what the big fuss is with Chipotle, but I think it could be a relatively healthier fast food option if you were to remove the huge glob of sour cream they dump on your plate. I did like the cilantro lime brown rice though. I thought that the serving size was a bit small given the size of the bowl, but perhaps I've grown too accustomed to super-sized American portions and expected more. All in all, I won't be going out of my way for Chipotle, but it's not bad when it's there. read more

This is our new go to place when my wife and I come down once a month to do our grocery shop. The rice bowls are delicious and full of flavour. I usually get either the carnitas or the Barbacoa (that's shredded beef seasoned nicely and quite moist). And here's a tip, go around 1130 am makes a huge difference when it comes to lineups. They do move the lines quite efficient and I've never seen them run out of anything. Zipped right through. Sat outside under the Umbrellas. GMO free is their newest philosophy and that's a good thing. More restaurants should be this responsible. We'll be back every month. read more

This is the saddest chipotle I have ever been to. I have gone to a lot of different chipotle places in my life but this one is the worst. They mass up my bowl and I ask them to fix it and they did. But they did not put half of my toppings on and put like no rice. Typical CMG fare: delicious, big portions, healthy and fast (depending on the line) but I do agree with other reviewers that they need to get a few kinks worked out at the service counter. Not just on the efficiency side but also to find, train and then retain friendly, happy, service-oriented front counter staff. Im giving tonights visit a 1 and only because these employees were doing a job they had to do. The tortilla girl was very nice and the food tasted good. The rest of the 'team' was too busy socializing to have any sense for customer service whatsoever as they made our food. Came in today around 3 pm. Restaurant was a total dump. I ordered a chicken burrito but chicken would be 10 minutes, asked for steak but it was on the grill, had to settle for pork. Tortilla and meat were cold and the burrito fell apart as soon as I unwrapped it from the foil. The taste at least was where it should've been but the whole thing wasn't even warm. read more

I went to Chipotle for the first time a couple days ago, and I was very disappointed. I had heard rave reviews from people online, but what I got was so different. I ordered the steak burrito with pretty much everything besides guacamole. The flavors were very bland, and the only thing that gave it a hint of flavor was the hot sauce. I'd say the worst part of the burrito was the horrible steak. Such low quality! It was extremely chewy and tough. Not a fan. It definitely wasn't worth the price either. I'm a big fan of Mexican food, and this is not authentic whatsoever. I'm sure any other Mexican restaurant nearby would've given me a much more enjoyable meal. I'm sure the whole Chipotle fad will eventually die down, and some other restaurant chain will take it's place. It didn't live up to the hype, and I definitely won't be returning. read more

One of the problems of "fresh" is food born pathogens. McDonalds COOKS there food reducing the chance of contracting these early killed bugs. Modern science has the answer but sometimes crunchy people and earth first do gooders circumvent these established checks in the food chain. I'm local, and I'm used to waiting in lines in and around Bellingham, so the wait was not a big thing. The food was just okay, but the portions were insulting. I'm not a big lunch eater, but $6.70 for what would qualify as a small side salad is a joke. Thought I would see what the hubub was about and will NOT be coming back.
