As far as food quality and portions, I haven't had many issues, BESIDES tonight. Rice was hard and crunchy. For protein: ordered half chicken half steak. Out of chicken (there was fresh chicken on the grill that was ready)- instead, worker turned over the bucket, put every last piece of the tiny bits of chicken on the bowl, estimate it was around 1/4th of a cup, including pouring all of the excess oil from the bottom. THEN - Brought it to the side where they make online orders and added a small portion of steak. My order is always 4 or 5 elements, nothing crazy. Workers seem absolutely miserable most nights, I can't say I blame them but Im not trying to feel like a burden for order food from a food place that they willingly choose to work at. Unfortunately, the bowl just wasn't good, didn't eat it. Complete waste of money that I don't have to waste. This is your typical chipotle, but sometimes the rice is undercooked which ruins the entire meal. I almost want to ask if I can "taste the rice" before ordering because if it's undercook, I wouldn't place an order. Also, I ordered a wholesome bowl and the store associate had no idea what it was. I had to read the ingredients out to her. She ended up charging me the same price as Chicken + Guac, which I guess is the same price as the wholesome bowl when I later checked. It's just confusing and I think the store associates should know what the menu items are. Instead her response was, it's an online order only and I should've placed the order online. Don't ever come to this Chipotle, I've have many small problems previously, but tonight I sat in this Chipotle for 45 minutes waiting for their card machine to start working again, once it started working again I was rung up, the receipt printed, and the cashier told me to try my card again, I say "Gee, didn't the machine just print a receipt?" SHE SAYS "no" I was double charged (what a shocker) had to come back, spend 10 more minutes in there, not a single time did the staff apologize to me or any of the other 15 customers who were held hostage and quite possibly overcharged. You'd expect some sort of compensation or something, like 10% off the order, or like a free bag of chips, but I didn't want to ask because clearly they didn't care if they charged me $23 or $2300, I just wanted to get the F out of there. The food was skimped down to the cheese when I usually get an overflowing bowl at the least from any other location. The chips were over salted and STALE! Horrible service, I ordered my daughters lunch online she picked it up and ordered a drink in the store. The cashier rang up someone else's meal and chargers her along with her soda. When she questioned him he said what do you want me to do and when she asked for the receipt he ripped it up. Is it normal to rip off kids on their lunch break from the high school? Of course can't call the store direct no one answers. After about an hour back and forth with the online chat I was able to get refunded. If you're reading this, save yourself time and go to any chipotle other than this one. They skimp you on the portions, their food isn't cooked correctly or the same as other locations (for example I find that most the time their food is unbearably spicy at this location), they are always out of random things such as cups and straws. In addition, this place is hardly open. I live in bernardsville and have come here on multiple occasions only to find it is closed. For example, it is 5 o'clock on a Friday right now and it is closed. If it's going to be closed at random hours then their google hours should at least reflect that so I don't have to waste my time driving there for nothing. If the issues have to do with something such as being understaffed, at least have a sign on the door explaining the issue so that customers can be more understanding. read more

Bernardsville. The worst chipoltle I have been to. Unfortunately for me it is the closest to my home. I only order salad bowls and like the dressing. I went in there when they opened and they told me they did not have any. I went the next day to speak with manager. Beside the fact that he was covered in piercings on his face, he told me they DID, in fact have it last night but they just did not feel like getting it. So, I have not gone back until tonight. Same thing again of course, no dressing but I'm sure they had it. Ordered double pork and got less that I usually get in regular order. I have called chipotle corporate to complain but they obviously do nothing and dont care. We have gone to many Chipotle's this was not a good experience. Understaffed resulted in individuals who clear were not happy to be at work. Order the salad and when checking out was informed no dressing. Sorry was the response. If I was informed earlier I would have gotten a taco or burrito. Oh well. Off our list In the near term.
