It was fine. Not great, not terrible. Just right down the middle. The fillings had definitely been sitting around for a while. Slightly dry, but the tortillas are made from small balls of dough to order so those were fresh. The burrito fillings are chopped all together so it's all mixed in. I frankly prefer it layered, but to each his/her own. Lots of seating available, self-serve beverages, and staff was friendly. read more

The fresh-pressed tortillas are great! They really loaded up the ingredients in my burrito and mixed them before folding, which not every place does. Service was good as well - very friendly and helpful. I paid less than $11 for a very big, satisfying burrito. Based on this visit, I don't think this restaurant deserves such a low rating. I feel like Chipotle (its direct competition) has gone down hill, so I might prefer Pancheros between the two. I ordered food to go and the rice bowl was very light, not much substance or meat, it was also extremely dry (the rice and chicken) and lacked flavor. Additionally, the quesadilla was very tiny - it should be considered a children's portion. Those two things for over $40 is outrageous. Will not be returning. read more

Service was terrible, shrimps were undercooked and portions were small as can be. For $17 i expected more food but i was given 5 pieces of shrimp with my meal, then the old lady was harassing me cause i accidentally put lemonade in the water cup, and they barely speak english, had me repeating myself over and over again. this old lady was something out of a horror movie. read more

While I generally do not eat fast food, Pancheros Mexican Grill is an exception. The tortillas are pressed to order and everything is made to your specifications. So while the food is prepped in advance, nothing is pre-made. Everything they serve is fresh and very good for fast food. A bargain too. read more

I went to Panchero's here in Bedminster NJ the guy that served me was very nice and I had a code that I got from doing the survey and this employee tried to help me but didn't have any success in entering the code into their system the thing I wanted to mention was that the other employee that came out to help was this older spanish women that has been at this location for a long time she is polite but not friendly and she talked to the male employee with a lower volume so I couldn't hear what she was telling the male employee. It just looked shady what she was doing and I feel like I will not go back to this panchero's any more. I paid her for the food but she didn't give me back the receipt that I had asked for. Fillings at Panchero's grill are pretty average, the tomatillo salsa had some decent heat and the carnitas was properly soft, shredded pork. Salsa and chips are about $3 extra. Not a fan of their ice-tea machine tho. And the booths are super small and uncomfortable, like they don't want you to linger. A-Ok for a quick lunch. Emphasis on quick. It is real chicken, made for fast food delivery and service during a 2-3 hour window. I find the food much healthier than Subway, which is processed meats and also Burger King which is similar. In short,MIT is a "taco bar" setup like you'd expect at a better wedding! I find the place to be clean, the food healthy and consistent...and I live here and do not want to drive to Bridgewater for essentially the same thing. Bottom line it is not the Plucky -- tacos are delicious and Burritos are as well. The servers are excellent and caring. Covering food up When service is slow is not terrible, in fact it is more hygienic. I bought pizza in Rocco's at 2:30 and there were flies hopping on and off the pies sitting under glass counter there for while, no me complains. The servers here all use gloves cheerfully and separate cashier tends the counter which is not true at other places in the same shopping center..it is healthier fare, at asserting premium, served in clean place and never will be highly rated by Zagat but is a fair option you will not get sick at..I like it, recommend it. read more

I was very disappointed with this place. 1. It wasn't busy during dinner time which concerned me. As a matter of fact one person was in there around 6ish. 2. Their prices are high. 3. They charged me extra to add peppers into a burrito??? 4. The meat has no flavor...I mean none! If I wasn't so hungry I would have fed it to my dog (although that might have been cruel). 5. I'm sick of having this debate with coworkers. There are FOUR things that put Pancheros wayyy ahead of any other "fast food Mexican" place. Not just one or two...four! 1. Fresh pressed tortillas 2. Spicy tofu! Spicy and big chunks, not bland and mushy (looking at you chipotle) 3. Fresh jalapeños 4. They mix it!! They literally mix everything together before rolling the burrito. It's amazing. Different from all of the other go to "fast food" Mexican places, in that they are the only establishment that actually mixes the ingredients you order in a burrito. That way, you're not tasting chicken, sour cream, or rice in each bite, but rather a mixture of everything you ordered to be put in your burrito in one bite. No other place does this, and I don't understand why. Meh. My opinion seems to go in line with many of the other reviewers. Portions are small and prices are high. The ingredients are bland. Not as bland as Moe's, but still pretty bland. The hot sauce is decent, but not super good. Food just did not seem fresh. The chips you get are the biggest rip off of all. You get this tiny little bag of blue tortillas (which are pretty decent) that fits less than a handful of chips in it. Take the extra 10 minutes and travel down the road to Chipotle. HORRIBLE!!! Take the drive to Chipotle in Bridgewater. Its worth standing on the line for good food. The black beans are so gross. They look straight out of a can and are watery....getting queezy just thinking about it. They are cheap with their portions and the service stinks. We love getting pancheros as the food is always very good although we got delivery the other night and was disappointed. We were missing 3 orders of chips and queso. We called the restaurant and asked if they could refund the card if it could not be delivered. We were on the phone for ten minutes for the lady to just say "well you can come pick it up if you want". This would defeat the whole purpose of getting take out. She did not know how to refund the card either and just told us "to come in tomorrow to speak to the manager". i was told by my sister that this place was better than chipotle. i conclude that she clearly does not know what she is talking about, and i question her tastebuds existing at all now. for starters, when i walked up to the man at the counter, he stared into space with no indication that he was actually there to serve me..he seemed reluctant to greet me with even so much as eye contact, let alone a smile or "good afternoon." even though the place was clearly open (about 2pm on a saturday), it was dead and the food was all covered. i did not know what i was getting until he removed the lids. the chicken was dry and lacked any flavor. the hottest salsa was not impressive. the rice had several grains of undercooked pieces in it, so i was lucky enough to enjoy a CRUNCH with practically every bite of my burrito bowl. the only attraction was that they homemade their own tortillas, but i didnt even bother trying them. this place was a turn off. i gave 2 stars instead of one because they have a gold peak sweet tea dispenser. read more

All chains are not created equal. I found this out the hard way last week when I stopped in for lunch. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was empty. Not the hustle and bustle like at the Morris Plains location. There were two people working behind the counter. Not super friendly, one of them could hardly be understood. Instead of the sizzling sounds and smells of meat on the grill there was nothing going on back there. The meat was cool to warm and served out of the metal container and obviously had been sitting around for awhile. As my burrito was being made by a guy behind the counter the only other person back there a grouchy woman just about put her arm and then her elbow into my meal (TWICE!). I said something the second time and I was totally ignored. After getting a meal that was nowhere near warm I have trouble with the pink lemonade. I'm not a soda drinker, nor is my son. So, I tell the guy that there is no flavor to the lemonade. We all know how it's usually too strong and needs to be watered down a bit. This was the opposite, totally watered down. He "fixes" it, but not really. It still tastes like water. He looks at it further and says that it's broken and he needs to call the repair guy in to check it out. Luckily, I suggest we get vitamin water instead and he doesn't try to put up a fight and make me pay. It wouldn't have been pretty if he had. Sitting down, eating, now unhappy since the experience so far was less than ideal. I notice how unlean the place is. Dirty glass, a spider web here and there. Here's a suggestion...how about when you are slow because there are no customers, you walk around, inspect and clean the place. Seems pretty simple to me. Was across the street at an office building for a meeitng, and decided to grab a quick bite before heading home. Overall it wasn't bad. the food was in containers on the counter (similar to chipotle)... but all of them had lids on them... so i couldn't see what they had to offer. I ordered a chicken bowl, and added blackbeans, pepers and onions, and a few of the different salsas. taste was decent. it may not have been frozen, but the the food was pre-cooked... so not sure i would consider that "fresh" As far as the restaurant.... it was around 2:30 when i stopped by, so the place was quiet.... with so few customers there, i was surprised that the tables and garbage area were not cleaner. Also, when leaving, i tried to throw my garbage away... and the garbage can is designed with a narrow top, which would not allow the bowl i ate to be disposed of.... not a major concern.. but just a little thing that you think about. read more

First off, I don't like Chipotle. Their food makes my stomach hurt. If you're familiar with Cartman from South Park, you might know his take on it and its not favorable. Then there's Panchero's. Small, straightforward menu, decent prices, friendly staff and things are fresh. Considering the burrito lasted me two meals, so did my mom's burrito bowl, I think its a good deal. For $6 something their burrito must weight 2 lbs and is definitely enough to take home. The fresh made on site tortillas are absolutely the best thing here, and I agree they do get a little soggy next day, but its WORTH IT. The dough is just quality and its a nice, fresh taste. This is the first Mexican fast food place I've taken my parents where they actually enjoyed the food. read more

My coworker ordered a quesadilla. It came out and was only cheese. He explained he wanted meat on the quesadilla and the employee said "Normal people usually tell us when they want meat".
