Well, I'm pleased. Managed to get a parking spot right across the street. Plenty of places to sit, the grill and food preparation area were spotless. One of my pet peeves is seeing the add-ins mixed together from double-dipping. They didn't disappoint. Big heaping portions which are always a plus but the rice was undercooked. Since the rice is a big portion of the meal it made my burrito taste disgusting. I don't understand why fast food chains like Chipotle are inconsistent. Left extremely full but not satisfied. read more

I went here for the first time to try it out since I was craving anything with guacamole at the moment, and it turned out to be great. The food was great. I ordered the chicken burrito and of course guac with chips! Really good! Best guac I've tried by far. The only thing that threw me off was the workers taking our order. The staff at this location are pretty on point. They can overdo the sour cream sometimes as well. My fave is the steak bowl with everything! The Sauza margaritas I thinn are better than the Patron. Is it me, or is chipotle slipping a little bit? I mean the food is still good, but it's slipping. The taste of the food has fallen off a little bit and the portion sizes are shrinking. The last time I was in there I had to tell him to add a little bit more to my bowl. The lines are still very long at lunchtime but they move kind of fast. And are the prices going up a little? I used to work in downtown Brooklyn so I came here for a lunch a bunch of times. There was always a crazy line no matter when I went. It's also pretty noisy and could be hard to find a seat. Now as for the food, I just don't get it. Just really bland and boring. Not enough seasonings. I use to get a chicken or steak bowl. After the first couple bites, you are just eating the same thing over and over again. Yeah sure it's filling but I wouldn't say its good. I've had much better mexican food before. Meals are same as at any other Chipotle, staff is polite and quick with orders but the place in general is very loud and not comfortable to stay. Sometimes they put the music on and its pretty loud. In other cases there is a bunch of teenagers who make a mess. Seats upstairs are much better, but not always available. read more

I usually love Chiptole but they do NOT appreciate teachers so I may not want to go back. Here's why, I got an email the other day from a friend who sent me a link stating that they are having a teacher appreciation day, buy one get one burrito free (!) but when I went in they said they aren't doing that. No idea why they took the promotion away, but it clearly stated that it was for today. As a regular Chiptole goer I am very disappointed at that sly move. Would have gave 5 stars if they didn't leave such a bad taste in my mouth! Went in here one day for two of my coworkers and they both wanted tacos so I politely told the guy that I needed six steak tacos and he looked to his coworker and they started giggling as if something was funny after he said "six......steak.....tacos" and yes he did pause after every word. After that I had to wait for one of the workers to finally refill the steak because this place never does anything on time, I say this because I went in a few days later for myself and had to eat 5-10 min so the guy in the kitchen area can take his sweet time putting gloves on so he can slice the chicken slowly. Every time I step foot in here for other people I am reminded as to why I fucking hate chipotle not to mention the many times their lettuce was recalled for giving people deadly shits from e-coli take your money to dos Toros instead. read more

Chipotle is the best place to go especially for dinner or lunch. Since my college is so close to chipotle, I enjoy taking my lunch break there. There staff are really nice and friendly and never disrespectful. I have been going there for about a year, but in different locations such as 72nd street and 34st and herald square. Even though most of the time during the afternoon and evening is always crowd, I normally just call to place my order or use the app they have for the iphone. I normally get the chicken bowl or the salad which have white rice, black beans, chicken, hot sauce, sour cream, cheese and lettuce. And a side order of chips, which is good also. I ended getting my friends to like it once I convice them to try it. Once you have a taste of chipotle food, you will love it! read more

Chipotle had an impressive number of diners on our Wed. night visit. That was a surprise and very unlike the Chipotle experience in San Francisco's SOMA district. Chipotle! For your mex cravings, this is it. Since there are so many, I'll focus on what makes the location on Montague stand out. It's got plenty of space, even with upstairs seating, it's clean and very neat. Line is formed against the wall as you walk in so everyone is kept orderly, it's not a zoo like other locations. Food is just as good as any Chipotle location, and servers were working hard to keep the line moving. When you want something quick, and don't feel like going to McD's or some other true fast-food place - stop by Chipotle! read more

Before this past weekend I hadn't been to a Chipotle in a few years (I have no idea why I was depriving myself for so long). It was late afternoon on Saturday and the line was fairly long. We were not even up to the counter yet but the lady wanted to know our order. I decided on a barbacoa burrito with rice, beans, tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream. My friend had a steak burrito the same way. The burritos were wrapped up nicely and ready to go, we just had to get to the cashier to pay. As we were moving along the line closer to the cashier I saw the cheese! How could I forget?!? I quickly asked the lady if it were possible to reopen the burrito to add cheese. She not so surprisingly said "No" but she did put some cheese in a little container for me to add to my burrito myself. The guy in front of me asked if she could do the same for him because he had also forgotten to ask for cheese on his burrito! She gave him a quick glare before filling another container with cheese. The guy didn't seem to care, we got our cheese and all was well. Yum, I'll be back soon. read more

Make no mistake: this is corporate designed, lowest common denominator food designed to appeal to the largest amount of people without offending anyone. The food isn't necessarily bad, just incredibly bland. Best thing about Chipotle is the Tobasco sauce bar. Fill a cup, you'll need it to add a little kick to the uninspired food. The fastest chipotle restaurant I've been to by far. The lines may be long but the serves move at a pace that will have you go from the back of the line to ordering in about 5-7 minutes maybe less. They always get the order right if I ask for more rice or chicken, Or maybe if i ask for just a little bit of something else they always seem to give the right amount to leave me completely satisfied with a little left over to take home and enjoy if i get the munchies later on. Every time I've been to Chipotle (probably 100 times in different locations all over Manhattan) I was pretty pleased with their portion sizes so I didn't really ask for any adjustments. I would usually see other people ask for more of this or less of that and think "wow that's brave" but the servers always complied. If you wanted only a good portion of meat and rice in your burrito, that's what you got. This time I decided to be a brave customer. I ordered two soft shell tacos and when I got to the meat section I asked for Barbacoa. The server put a few small strips in the center of the taco shell and looked at me... it was the size of four pennies lined down the center of the shell... very flat and looked ridiculous... I asked politely for more meat and was told "sorry, I can't give you more... that's the portion size for tacos"... RIDICULOUS.... I really should have just said forget it and left her with the ridiculous looking tacos... very stingy... the food was the usual but I practically had NO MEAT... as you can tell I have been to Chipotle many times in the past... this time sucked major ass. read more
