    Adobado (Marinated Pork)
    Nakia A.

This used to be my go to place for tacos in NY years ago but the quality has gone down. Maybe I caught them on off day but I ordered the adobado tacos and they were so salty I couldn't eat them. Luckily I swapped one for my parents carne asada taco and managed to balance it out. In spite of the overall salty meat, service at this location is amazing which is a plus. Rating: 3.8./5

Stopped by here on a Wednesday afternoon because we were seriously craving some tacos. There was a pretty long line when we arrived, but don't let that scare you off--it moved incredibly fast thanks to their efficient order/pickup system. We got 3 tacos and 1 quesadilla to share between the two of us. To be honest, for the price point, I expected the portions to be a bit bigger (especially the quesadilla, which was on the smaller side). That being said, the flavor was definitely there--every bite was good. We also grabbed a horchata, which hit the spot and was super refreshing on a hot day. Would I come back? Maybe. If I'm in the area and craving a quick bite, I'd give it another go, but I might order an extra taco next time to leave fully satisfied.

Love Los Tacos No. 1!!!! Their tacos are always soooo yummy. Highly recommend. Service is fast and friendly, and this location also has space for you to eat inside. If I'm close to a Los Tacos location, I always try to stop by.

Being from the bay area and living in cali my whole life I am no stranger to tacos. But man these tacos were banger. I loved the fact you could choose flour or corn and though the menu is pretty simple they steer you down the right path. The flavors of the meat are for sure there and in my opinion this place lives up to the hype.

Incredible tacos right near time square, which initially made me hesitant. I would highly recommend going here and trying each one of the tacos fully loaded! I can't wait to go back. Be ready to wait in a line and stand to eat, but it is worth it! Best street chicken taco I've ever had.

The adobada tacos are amazing! It's worth it even if the lines are long. Horchata is good too. Coming from California, I didn't expect these to be that good. The carne asada is okay. Adobada is definitely a must try.

The service here is incredible!! They work so quickly and get long lines moving quick. The ambiance is standing areas to eat your tacos with self service salsa. Let's get to the food. The tacos are great considering the NYC taco scene is fairly mid. The o my issue I have is with the price!! Each taco is around $5 which is crazy coming from the $1 tacos in LA.

The best tacos. The same way you can get a slice of pizza anywhere in NY, you can't do the same for tacos unless you're in LA but this place gets it right!! Simple, fresh, delicious tacos! Quick service and easy to find a spot to eat indoors. It is face paced and only standing room with counter tops to it at. LOVE their tacos! We ordered chicken and steak tacos!

The menu is simple- tacos and tostadas and a few more items. We had carne asada tacos and a pork taco. We had a Jamaica fresh water drink, and it was delicious. The tacos were made fresh and right in front of the you. You have to hand the guy your receipt so he can make the food. The line was pretty long and you can eat there on one of the tables, but there are no chairs . This place is a must try when in NYC!

Well, in town for the next parade, I found this spot while staying by Wall Street. This spot was extremely busy in a good way. The food was everything. I hoped it would be the chicken tacos were so flavorful they came with onions a Housemade salsa. I also ordered an aqua Fresca tamarind flavor.

Best tacos!!!!! I can't recommend them enough. Might sound crazy but we go here like daily when visiting it's just so good! The staff works super fast to take care of everyone in a timely manner. Such a cool place too I love how the inside looks it's a work of art itself.

Don't let the line scare you, it moves quick! Since the food is good there's just always a new people coming in. The topping and standing eating area are clean. Everyone makes sure to leave the spot just as they found it. The horchata is good, they only have one size (shown in photo), so it's not easy to share.

I've heard all the hype about Los Tacos, so I had to check it out. The place was a beehive with patrons everywhere. The workers meanwhile were working fast & hard. I ordered the Pollo Asado taco with everything. You can choose corn or flour tortillas. I picked corn. The flavor is worthy of 5 stars, so the hype is real. The chicken was so flavorful. It came with onions, cilantro, & guacamole. The combination of flavors was perfect. And the chicken truly was excellent. My only complaint is the size. The taco is about $6, but I ate it in 3 or 4 bites. It was very small. However, seeing the crowd in there, apparently the taco size is not an issue. As I said, the taste was quite excellent.

Does this place have any seating?

Nope, no seating. It's a quick grab and go or you can stand around and eat but it gets crowded.

    Is there takeout?

Of course... it's all " to go" but many stand around a few tiny high top tables or counter and eat quickly. It's not a dine in place. Eat and run or take to go

I also tried the carne asada tacos, which were good but definitely overshadowed by the adobada. Each taco came topped with onions, cilantro, guacamole, and salsa. We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

The energy was flat, and that lack of enthusiasm carried right into the food. The menu needs a complete overhaul. I'm not sure if it's trying to be "different," but the taco options were unappealing just from reading the descriptions. I managed to choose the two best-sounding items I could find, and honestly, they were so bland I don't even remember what they were. The setup and decor were basic. This spot could be a fun hangout, but it would take a better menu and staff who actually seem to care. It feels like just another restaurant that's lost sight of creating an actual experience for guests. The lack of vibe is obvious--if you don't want customers, just say so. The steak was tender and had pretty good flavor. I just wish there was more. Especially considering the price. Certainly not a bad quesadilla but the value wasn't quite there. I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall.
