    Absolutely disgusting!
    Lauren S.

Chipotle has seriously gone down hill in the more recent years. Especially this location! Yuck! The food has usually been pretty consistent from restaurant to restaurant though the servings are always different..but after my last visit to this location, I don't know if I will ever go back to another Chipotle again. The chicken and steak was extremely burnt and the food station was absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe the amount of cross-contamination that was so clearly going on. (See photos). The service was god awful and the employees made it very clear that they did not enjoy their jobs or want to be there. My husband and I both side-eyed eachother like "wtf is going on right now?". Completely ridiculous.

What a surprise, another bad experience here for me! See previous reviews for everything else terrible here. How are there not quality controls for this franchise?! My ingredients in my 2 burrito bowls were completely mixed up. Wrong rice in one bowl, extras in wrong bowl, hot salsa in wrong bowl, so completely annoying and frustrating! i hated it. Per usual. I hope the new Hamburg location opening is not owned by the same incompetence or using the same employees. Honestly just close this location. It's not as if Chipotle needs more complaints overall at all locations. Oh, and thanks for these gigantic hard leaves in them too .

The atmosphere was on point with great vibes and music that really set the tone. The service was especially impressive--our server was attentive, efficient, and made sure everything flowed seamlessly without ever feeling rushed. It really elevated the whole experience. The chips and salsa were easily some of the best I've had, and of course I had to try the flan (a personal weakness)--it did not disappoint. Perfect portion, smooth texture, and incredible flavor. Highly recommend and already looking forward to coming back!

My wife suggested we eat at local Mexican establishments to support their businesses. To please her, I agreed to join her and have never tasted such terrible food. The first time I asked for a dish with shrimp, which was over salted. The waiter, possibly owner, apologized and accommodated my request for a newly prepared dish. Unfortunately, the second dish was even saltier than the first. The owner agreed and did not charge me. I did not end up eating any food. Recently, a colleague at my place of work suggested going to this same restaurant, because as a Mexican American, she missed going to eat good Mexican food. I did not share my prior experience, hoping that perhaps it would be a one time event. Importantly, I informed the waitress to tell the chef to not place much salt on my food. Unfortunately, upon receiving both of our dishes we both agreed the food was over salted. Even the damn salsa they provide is over salted! Moreover, my colleague requested shredded meat in her tacos, which was not what was served. Ultimately, my colleague agreed that it is not a place worth going to. Once again, I want to support local immigrant owned businesses, but will not support this one any longer. I honestly don't know how others can provide positive ratings for this restaurant. Unless everyone is yearning to eat food following a 27-mile run and are craving salt due to electrolyte loss, then perhaps this is your spot. Otherwise, if you want to accelerate your journey toward a heart attack with food that is soulless head on over to Taqueria Los Mayas. Despite this negative review, we both left a 20% tip as we are aware that poor food is not a reflection on other employees. It is, however, a negative reflection of the owner(s) who fail to read reviews. Others too have complained about the over salted food on this platform. Is it to compel clientele to purchase beverages? Perhaps. If so, this is quite desperate and unfortunate. Please note, this review can only be accepted if I select one star. Reviewers should be provided with an option of selecting negative stars in lieu of positive ones.

The man working at the register is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and the service here is absolutely fantastic. We ordered a handful of tacos including vegetation, chorizo, carnitas, birria and two others I can't remember. Since it was our first time here I also wanted to try some of the sides to compare to my favorite Mexican spots and we ended up with chips, queso, beans, and chocolate tres leches cake. The toppings bar is absolutely the best in Western, NY with anything that you can imagine (except for radish slices). Our food was ready in just a few short minutes and all was to our liking. My husband felt that the birria was a little bland and I thought the beans were a little too soupy, but considering the spread we ordered and the excellent service that can be forgiven. Great spot if you're willing to make the drive.

We finally went inside and were told another 10 mins after waiting almost 45. So all told it was about an hour wait. I get they're busy but they were not honest about the wait time. Then we were sat in the bar area and it was just very loud and rowdy thanks to what we found out was a rehearsal dinner, seriously it went down about 10 octaves after they left. Our server seemed very frazzled. When we first sat down we were given a smaller dinner menu and told the regular menu was only for drinks. Our server explained they are training a new kitchen. So we go to order and our appetizer came before our drinks. We ordered the guac and it was tasty. When we finally got our margaritas they were good. Then they delivered a queso to the table that wasn't ours, but let us keep it anyway. Then dinner arrived. I ordered shrimp tacos- and chicken came. I had to wait while they made me the correct tacos, according to the bill the server had put them in wrong. I also felt $20 for three taco shells with 3-4 shrimp each was a lot. You can not mix and match taco types. The only toppings provided are a very spicy sauce, cilantro, and onion. I ended up putting the queso on them which was good. Just never had tacos with that limited toppings for the price and no toppings bar. We repeatedly asked for more water during the meal and never got any so my friend had to go up to the bar. We ordered a soft serve margarita (the real reason we were here!) for desert to share as the flavor was chocolate and raspberry twist. It was really good! Very rich and definitely a sweet treat type of drink. The server said the flavors aren't usually like that or as thick as ours was. All this to say I honestly feel they are trying to figure some things out right now. The food itself and drinks were very good. I enjoyed the soft serve margarita and would love to try some other flavors that aren't as rich in the future. Would I go back? Yes but not for a few months. The service piece of this place is not it right now. I wouldn't order the tacos again either as I don't feel the value is there. My friend has been here dozens of times and she said it's never like this. So I hope to give them another try!

I came here with some family who were visiting from out of town. We wanted somewhere that everyone could eat at since we have omnis, GFs, and vegans. Love that there were options for everyone. However, my partner and I ordered the guacamole azteca which came out with cheese clearly on it and mixed in. I asked the server immediately if it was cheese and he said no, they would never put cheese in it. I had my doubts but thought perhaps it could be finely minced garlic. So we started eating. About halfway through we hit a pocket of unmixed cheese and I stopped eating. Asked the server a second time who denied it was cheese. He claims he also asked in the kitchen and they assured him it wasn't cheese. Well, it was- I got sick that night. My vegan dinner was small- no rice or beans. Just two sad little enchiladas with very little filling. There was a pile of iceburg lettuce next to them with a small scoop of pico. But all in all, the meal is NOT worth the price. The vegan options were the same price or more than the meat options, but came out with half the food on the plate. I felt this meal deserved only 1 star, but the fact that there were vegan options on the menu bumped it up to 2 stars. I will not be going back, I would much rather eat elsewhere in a more quiet atmosphere where the servers and kitchen staff KNOW what they put dairy in.

We regularly come with a group of 6-7 people, and we've always enjoyed supporting the restaurant. Unfortunately, this weekend's brunch experience was very disappointing and fell well short of what we've come to expect from Maizal. There were only a few other tables occupied in the restaurant, so we were surprised by the level of service. Our server was pleasant, but we had to ask for basic things such as silverware after our appetizers had already arrived. Our food also came out several minutes apart rather than together, and by the time some of the dishes arrived, they were not hot. The drinks were another major disappointment. The Michiladas we ordered were served warm and without ice, making them virtually undrinkable. Since this is a drink that is traditionally served cold and over ice, we were surprised that they were served this way. One of the Michilada cups was also covered in red tajin coloring, (not just around the rim, but the cup itself where you hold it) and it took 3 napkins to clean it off. (We had to ask for the napkins) His hand was bright red even after wiping away. It should be noted that the drinks were left nearly full at the table the entire meal. I would have expected the server to ask if there was any issue with the drinks. The food itself was also underwhelming. The chilaquiles were subpar, and the tres leches pancake was particularly disappointing. It was essentially a regular pancake with tres leches sauce poured around it. Traditional tres leches is soaked into the cake itself, which would have made a significant difference in the dish. There was also an additional concern that I feel is important to mention. Before leaving the restaurant, one of the guests in our party began feeling ill and had to rush home to use the bathroom. We obviously cannot say that this was caused by anything we ate at Maizal, and we don't want to make an accusation without knowing that. However, given that this has never happened to anyone in our group after dining at Maizal, combined with the issues we experienced with the food being served at different temperatures, it did leave us wondering whether there could have been an issue with food handling, preparation, or cross-contamination in the kitchen. We understand that not every meal is going to be perfect, but taken together--the service, timing and temperature of the food, drinks, overall execution, and this additional concern--the experience was not what we expected, particularly given how frequently we choose Maizal for our family gatherings and the amount we typically spend there. We learned today that, we won't be returning for brunch. That's disappointing to say because we genuinely enjoy Maizal for dinner and have considered it a reliable choice for our family celebrations. This feedback was shared with the team via the contact us option on their website, but wanted to share it here as well as I haven't heard back from them. For brunch, I'd probably go somewhere else, but it's possible this was a one off.

We watched two tables get up and leave after they sat there with nothing but drinks and one basket of chips for god only knows how long. As I'm writing this review, we are currently sitting at our table, waiting for our food and the stereo is cranked so loud you're unable to hold a conversation without screaming at each other (see video, this was the regular, non-celebration related volume). Our waitress had to ask us to repeat ourselves TWICE trying to order because it's so incredibly loud. However, If there is ANY type of celebration, be it a birthday, someone orders shots, someone orders a margarita tower, hell, if someone walks through the damned door... they somehow turn the speakers up to a 25 out of 10 and blare the most obnoxious club style music at an earsplitting volume, with sparklers, light wands, LED club signs, and light up trays. They even have someone wear a creepy giant sugar skull mask. In the hour that we have been here there have been 22 "celebrations" including 3 separate ones at the table behind us, yes we counted. The real kicker? Every time there's a "celebration," the entire wait staff has to participate. My husbands beer took 20 minutes to get to our table, and our food took 40. If you ever want to feel like you're inside the speaker at a Bills game, then this is the place for you. They should really consider leaving an Excedrin with your check.
