This is the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. The workers are among the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. It seems like they are upset at you for wanting to eat at their restaurant. If you want to order inside the restaurant prepare on waiting 30+ minutes no matter how long the line is. Tonight at 9:10pm, I had the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in my life. The two people working did not care about their jobs at all, I saw the person behind the counter throw his head back and sigh when people walked in - visibly upset because his establishment had business. I wanted to give these people the benefit of the doubt, my mind began to compile excuses - "oh maybe it's been a long shift for them, I'd probably be tired too". The benefit of the doubt was swept away like a toddler stuck in a rip tide once it was my turn to order. I asked, do you guys have any chicken or steak? The woman behind the counter was the better of the bunch - only 30% of this review is dedicated to her. She asked the person behind the counter "when can we expect chicken or steak ?" the man behind the counter SHRUGGED HIS SHOULDERS. She followed up again "you think 10-15 min?" he responded "something like that" , and never looked up the entire time. I don't write many reviews but I felt compelled to write one after the service and product I received. I had a mobile order that was visibly ready on the shelf and along with about 6 other people with mobile orders, I waited 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge the crowd waiting. I understand food service is a busy and stressful job, been there. But the time management was very poor as they kept fulfilling walk in orders rather than handing out the ready-to-go mobile orders waiting. Once I got my food it was very poorly made and thrown together; my burrito shell was ripped in half, the rice was hard/dry, and the ingredients were very non-proportional and separated. Pretty unhappy with it but fast food is fast food; just this location specifically has some improvements to be made for sure. read more

I went in when it was very slow. One full table, no one in line. Upon entering, I was asked "What do you want?" with a tone. The employee was skimpy with portions (even though it was stocked), rushed me through, and sloppily threw too much sour cream in my bowl when I politely asked for more veggies. She even spilled veggies on her gloved hand and threw them back into my bowl. I'm typically a pleasant customer, and can understand how food service can be stressful since I have had prior experience. I don't believe there is an excuse for this experience, though. This afternoon, I experienced something new, an extra-horrible meal from an expected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chipotle's famous motto: 'Food with integrity.' But I realize, that motto is rooted in hate, trickery, and deception. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the idiocy now cooking at Chipotle, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the worst chefs in East Lansing. I found myself asking questions while struggling to enjoy my meal. The environment was harsh, rude. Before finding my seat, they informed me of the empty reservoir of tortillas, then displayed to me a collection of gray and humbling corn and Pico De Gallo. To help them recover from their loss, I asked for a side of chips with queso. They, again, informed me of the empty queso reservoirs. Yo honestly, got in line which was already out the door so I decided to order online, thought it would be quicker. Turns out the NEVER made my meal and had FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT ME! I have had an account with them since 2013 and have never felt this down in my life. If it was up to me I would shut this place down. The food is usually fine and the prices are fair but service comes first and I got none of it. Next time you're in the area and are thinking Spanish food I definitely recommend either Taco Bell or Qdoba, I'm sure they would at least serve you your food. I'm so disgusted and hungry right now that Im waiting to order still just so I can tell them how bad I want to hop over that counter and wedgie those minimum wage losers.
