This was my first visit to the Chipotle in the Maple Lawn area, and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. I went there to get a kids meal for my son since we were nearby, and I was shocked by the lack of consistency and customer service at this location. I placed my order in person and the staff member informed me that the kids meal only came with two sides and the third side would incur an extra charge. According to the app, the meal clearly shows/includes three sides.Which, is misleading but also unacceptable. Why should there be an additional charge for something that is advertised as part of the meal? The principle of the matter is simple: customers should receive what they are promised. It's not about the extra charge; it's about the misleading advertisement and the inconvenience it caused. I had to ask the staff member to scoop out the corn because I refused to pay extra for something that should have been included. This unnecessary hassle resulted in my son whining the entire time, which soured the entire experience. Overall, the customer service was just ok, but the refusal to honor the meal as advertised was infuriating. I could have easily paid the extra fee, but it's the principle that counts. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I am not inclined to return to this location. read more

Honestly I don't know why the reviews are so low, I was lowkey scared about ordering from here but it went well for me. Last time I went a year ago the burrito was small and cold, awful. But this time I got a quesadilla a year later and it was really full and hot despite me walking back to my maple lawn home from the chipotle, still hot (makes me question how my burrito got cold but regardless). Tasted great and was super filled that I only ate half! If you get the quesadilla you won't be let down so I'm happy, tasted great beef was just a little dry. I ordered dinner for my family on the app and arrived within a minute of the time the app told me the food would be ready. The food was freezing cold and my son's tacos were so sopping wet that we could pour them into the sink. We asked the store for a refund and they told us that since we ordered on the app we needed to get a refund online. I went online and got a "thank you for letting us know," response with no refund. This Chipotle has truly gone even further downhill. Do not trust them to serve you fresh food, do not trust them to care about the order and especially do not trust the store or apparently the corporation to refund your money. I don't know how this location is rated so lowly. Stopped in for a carry out order today because I heard it was national burrito day. I didn't even know there was such a thing but I had a craving. I always use the app to place my order in advance and I never sit inside to eat so I can't say for the dining experience here. My order was ready when promised and it was accurate. I'm not a fan of these chains whatsoever, and this one is particularly annoying because right after our stop at Gong Cha around the corner, my friend dragged me in here and got her usual sofritos and burrito and all that stuff. The rice was both cold hard dry and stale all at the same time. I often find that it is at Chipotle, and I'm getting tired of people with no food taste whatsoever saying that Chipotle has some kind of a gold standard. The only strange thing about this place is that the mobile order shelf is behind the counter so you can't grab and go. No worries though because the employees are pretty attentive. Yesterday I placed a mobile order and it was ready on time! I was actually redeeming a free bowl - I've been racking up those points on the app!! I ordered a steak bowl with the usual (white rice, corn, mild and spicy salsa, sour cream, cheese and lettuce) and a tortilla on the side (if you didn't know they now charge 25 cents). *Pro-tip: order a burrito inside a bowl and no 25 cent charge. I entered the restaurant and 7 customers were inside, none wearing a mask. A group of 5 were receiving their food, 2 were at the counter and I was next. The employee serving at the counter by-passes all of these customers and singles me out to wear a mask. There is no mandate in this jurisdiction for masks. When I asked why no one else was being asked to put one on, he says he didn't notice them. He was serving them directly, but didn't notice them? The man behind me wasn't told to wear a mask either. Just me. I didn't have one. I come to this jurisdiction specifically because there is no mask requirement. It's really hard to mess up Chipotle, but this place is the little engine that could. One of the major joys of a Chipotle burrito is how unreasonably large and overstuffed it is. This location got the opposite of that memo. After picking up and getting home, I was shocked by sight of how hilariously small my burrito was. I'm talking single small taco-sized. At first I thought I was just given that by mistake but nope, the tag was right and it was wrapped like a burrito. I have never seen a burrito this small, anywhere, except maybe for $1.29 at Taco Bell... Not the $10 Chipotle charges for this offensive garbage. We go to this Chipotle when we buy groceries at Harris Teeter, which is in the same shopping center. The line is not too long, only 1 or 2 people ahead of us. Teenagers work here, and they usually don't listen to fulfilling our orders correctly for burrito bowls. They don't seem interested in doing any work. The cashier only does that job and never smiles, and for the first time today, she said thank you to us. I recommend management at Chipotle hire staff like those from Harris Teeter who are friendly and courteous to customers. 5/30/20 update - Online orders are backed up on a Saturday evening causing delays for customers who just walk in to order. It took us 30 minutes to wait in line as online orders were being filled. There should be 2 set of workers assigned to prevent these delays. I visited at an odd time (3pm or so) for a very late lunch and there was as expected no one in line. A few employees were goofing off on what looked like their break, so whatever. The interior was clean and well swept, and the tables were neatly organized and dry. The beverage area was organized and presented well. I had ordered ahead of time and picked up and chose to eat in because I had ordered crispy tacos and knew they'd be soggy by the time I got back. My sofritas tacos were delicious---prepared just as I requested, with extra beans and all ingredients evenly distributed and packaged in an appealing way. The service was also very good---friendly employees (all teenagers)---far better than the slow and dirty Chipotle in Cherry Hill. New favorite Chipotle indeed! read more

Maybe asking a simple "Anything else?" before moving on? Guacamole was the palest shade of green with a hint of brown, blehhhh. This next part pissed me off the most... I wanted lettuce on my bowl. There was literally 10 scraps of lettuce in the bottom of the container, in which the lady put 8 scraps on top of my bowl. I asked politely for more lettuce and she proceeded to put the remaining TWO SCRAPS OF LETTUCE ON TOP. Put a fork in me, I was so done. This restaurant suffers from severe incompetence, The cashier doesn't seem to have an idea what is going on considering there are customers waiting to fulfill their orders she is dealing with an employee whose credit card doesn't work for a meal she's trying to take home after her shift. I think everyone just kind of knows locally that this is the most whack Chipotle. The food always tastes underseasoned and your burrito is always sort of hemorrhaging ingredients. You accept when you order from Maple Lawn that you are settling for less-than, which is usually fine if you are hungry. It isn't disgusting or anything, just poorly assembled and not the best tasting. However, I do not recommend ever ordering delivery from here. Multiple times they have cancelled my order (from the Maple Lawn location) without notifying me after 40+ minutes of waiting. Multiple times they got the order wrong or forgot something, which would be fine except they have no follow-up customer service. It's a refund and a "sorry"; they do not fix their mistakes and do right by you (at least not on delivery orders). The last, and final time, I ordered delivery; the delivery driver dropped my food all over the sidewalk outside and left it there without saying anything to me or to the restaurant (or to Doordash, who unfortunately fulfils Chipotle.com delivery orders). When I called Doordash they pointed a finger at Chipotle, because of course they did; Doordash is a scummy company. When I called Chipotle, the "best they could do" was a refund. I had to sweep my dinner off the sidewalk in 95 degree heat, so even though I don't usually push hard for free stuff, a refund is pretty insulting. Their phone reps are outsourced and do not care. There is no accountability for these orders and calling the restaurant results in "umm I don't know, call the hotline" and bad customer service for mistakes. Avoid this location for sure, and if you do get delivery, pay the extra to do it through Doordash so they can't worm their way out of bad delivery service by shifting blame. read more

Terrible experience. I began an online order at this location at 6:35, with a pick-up time of 7:00 PM. I arrived at 6:50 PM waited until 7:15, where they announced they were starting on the 6:45 pick-up time orders. It was literally faster for me to get in line and order my food manually. On top of this, I asked to speak with the manager to cancel my online order. The manager was rude, dismissive, and did not even try to be helpful. They told me they were just a cook and couldn't help me, cancel the order, or guarantee a refund. I also called the restaurant to try and cancel the order, since the app doesn't give the option. No one picked up. I feel bad for the crowd of people waiting outside that have been there for 45 minutes already. Don't go here. Don't waste your time and money. read more

The staff are nice and are trying hard, but a few things have changed the value of this restaurant. Portions keep getting smaller and prices have gone up. They've eliminated some tasty options, like that plant-based chorizo, which was delicious! Lately, all the meats are dry and overcooked. Sometimes, I'm not getting my order the way it was specified--i.e., beans, no beans, etc. The last 3 or 4 meals I've had have been with dry, tasteless meat, and that's not good. I keep wanting it to be good, praying it's an off day...an off month. I love Chipotle. Well, not this Chipotle. Twice in my kids' takeout, we've found Avacado Peels in the Guacamole. In fact, my son says he got an Avocado pit another time. A third time I stood in disbelief as the teenager behind the counter gave me what amounted to dietary portions of rice and meat, with an abundance of lettuce and watered down beans. She could not have looked less interested in serving... as she checked her phone. I saw where my food portions and customer service went. To the teenagers behind me. Two other times the food was adequate. And another, right after they'd opened was at Chipotle standards. The name and convenience have taken me back, but I'm not sure how many more times. Chipotle doesn't franchise, so am confused why it's come to this.
