I don't even know how to start this, I've never had an experience like that in my life.... I'm still kind of shocked. I just had an employee help me without saying a single word to me! She just walked up to the makeline and gave me a death stare and I said "hi, how you doing, I'm gonna take it to go" and every time we moved over this woman just gave me a death stare. We move over to the meat and she's just silent, she's staring at me. I go ahead and tell her what I want. Now that I think about it I should've just left, but damn I really wanted chipotle! We move over to the veggies and sauces and she gives me another death stare, I tell her what I want again. And at the end of it all she slides my food to the cashier and says "chicken" then moves back to the beginning of the makeline and gives a death stare to the next customer. Service is awful. Went, they were open, but refused to take our order saying it was only online. Came back 6 weeks or so later, clearly taking orders in person, so I wait in line. I get to the front, they won't let me order a quesadilla, which I have been ordering for years and years across the country, saying it can only be online. I left. These people are awful. This Chipotle location is in a strip mall on US-202 northbound with access via traffic light intersection. I didn't think parking was adequate during the lunch-hour rush, especially since there are several popular restaurants within this block. However, I was able to find a parking spot not very far from Chipotle. I ordered a chicken bowl with chips and guacamole. I thought the food was about average for Chipotle. It probably should be kept a bit warmer in the steam trays but I guess that's the way it is. Also, like all Chipotle restaurants, there wasn't much choice of toppings. Where this Chipotle falls short though is in cleanliness. All the tables and the floor were littered with food scraps. It doesn't look like that they get around to cleaning the dining area during the daytime. read more

When this chipotle does take your order it's usually half of what you're asking for of every food item. Recently however, they don't take your order at all in person and the online ordering system does not allow you to order all of their items they offer in person - making this location seemingly useless and not even on my list of places to eat anymore. We use to go there and order-online frequently, but this place is getting worse over time. With online order, food is only half of bowl, brown rice is not fully cooked, the chicken is burnt to a degree to black and taste horrible. So we go in person instead , worst experience ever. Update (7/30/18): Came here on a weekday at lunchtime and the line had about 6 people in it when I arrived. There were 5 employees working the line, all friendly. I got my order and out the door in under 4 minutes. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews...I've been to this Chipotle location more than 5 times and it has yet to disappoint me! I visited this Chipotle last Saturday for the first time. There was no wait and all the staff on the serving line were very friendly. Upon check out, I got a coupon for a free queso and chips during my next visit. Food was typical Chipotle and while I was eating, a staff member came over to ask how everything was and if I needed anything. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Preordered food using the app and then order not ready upon pick up time assigned. Had to wait additional hour because other patrons were upset that their orders were not correct or were not ready. The staff advised my family order was being prepared and then 20 Min later a different employee indicated they had not started order. All I was offered was chips and soda for the inconvenience and horrible service experienced. There appeared to be no manager or any staff with any leadership or customer service training I am disappointed in myself because the food is sub par on a good day but my college aged kids wanted it for an easy meal. They could not give me a time frame for additional time to wait in order and did nothing to remediate the issue they created. Would have appreciated the staff to be forthcoming if there was a staff or cooking issue upon entering but the this locations staff is the exact example of why some places should not have min wage rates to be $15 because a child could have prepared these meals more accurately and probably with a smile. We used to go there very frequently but now the customer service is horrible. We just went there today. We asked for tortillas on the side and once we got our order, the worker said that it's already in the bag with the rest of our order. However when we checked in the car, there weren't any of the tortillas we asked for. We went back in and asked for the tortillas and saw that the worker actually crumbled the toriallas and threw it in the trash. Such an unfortunate dining experience that I wanted to post the following e-mail that I had sent to the listed Manager for this location. (Unfortunately I still have yet to receive a reply back) My husband and I had dinner at the Chipotle Mexican Grill in Glen Mills last night (11/14/16), your newer location on Route 202. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience and I wanted to share with you our issues in hopes we would be able to visit this location in the future and see improvement or we will not be able to return. We were third in line and waited well over 10 minutes to be helped. Staff were basically standing around, chatting amongst themselves, not interested in helping customers. Once we were helped I asked for sautéed veggies on my bowl, there were none left and the food provider indicated "we ain't got no more" in which I indicated at 6 PM during dinner, veggies should be available. She asked someone else and they indicated about a 10 minute time frame for more veggies. I declined, since I was starved and had already been waiting now about 15 minutes. The customers in front and behind were all disgusted as they were making comments to themselves, to us and others. Finally after we checked out, we went to the back to sit and eat. The dining areas, especially around the beverage location, were disgusting, not wiped down probably all day, as well as the tables. Crumbs, chips on the floor, dirty napkins strewn about, almost no remotely clean area for us to sit. Once we finally wiped down our own area, to eat, we finished and I went back up to find out if they finally had the veggies... After 20 minutes, still no veggies! I really hope this location gets their act together and improves. It is our third visit and it just might be our last. I have traveled to over 10+ Chipotles across the country. Love chipotle food. Pretty good, it's fast, simple easy ingredients, not much you can mess up. But i has the worst customer service ever. I made an online order 30 minutes before pick up. Get to the restaurant and the order wasn't made. So I had to wait for 3 bowls to be made. Not going to get into detail but they had 4 staff members working, short customer line only ordering one burrito each, they were out of their mexican Coke's. Bottom line, it's very disorganized lost staff that really shouldn't be messing up. The staff needs to pay attention and communicate, it's just burritos and bowls, not that hard. read more

So your date is all into mindfulness of not spending much and figured it's a good idea to save money on a first date and do Chipotle take-out and go watch a movie. She happens to be vegetarian, so she orders a sofritas bowl. K, you pick up your bowls and you drive 20 minutes through this holiday traffic back home. Pop open the lid, and low and behold, it's not sofritas: it's actually carnitas. Aka pork. Your date is all... "oh... it's okay... I guess I'll just eat the chips and guac." This place was absolutely filthy and there were flies all over the food. When we walked in, a staff member helped himself to huge portions of meat, leaving no steak left for any customers and none was being made. The restaurant was out of half of sides and meat options at 7pm. No staff member wore gloves and one employee wore his pants below his underwear line. The food that was served was cold and the staff locked the doors at 8pm when their hours claim to be open until 10. I most definitely would never recommend this chipotle to anybody. read more

This location has gradually gotten worse and worse over time. You cannot get counter service at this location so you if you want to eat eat you are forced to download their app to do so. Bowls never have much in them. The workers seem nice enough but always seems like it runs on a skeleton crew. That might explain why the table tops (both inside and outside) are consistently dirty. When I arrived to pick up my order, it wasn't ready, I get it, sometimes it take longer...well it was only half way completed, but I noticed that the cashier was putting items in my bag that belonged to a walk in customer.. She needed to remove items after speaking with one of the preparers, but neither of them seemed to know which was who's... As I continued to wait, two other walk in customers walked in, BOTH food preparers stopped working on my order to serve the two walk ins...WTF? 15 minutes later, but it seemed longer than 15 minutes my order was ready... The cashier apologized for the wait and added a free second bag of chips, thank you! But I ordered 4 chips with different respective sauces! If the cashier didn't add the free bag of chips, I would have only had one order of chips and 4 different sauces!... When I got back to my office thats when I noticed we were missing the chips... Now in most cases when frequenting a Mexican restaurant, chips and salsa are usually included, but in this case I paid for these chips, $2-$3 per order...i was missing 2 orders of chips, that's $4-$6 I spent on nothing, not to mention my drive back to pick up the rest of my order, the fuel and the time it cost me... I've been to this location in the past and had a disappointing experience which deterred me from returning, but I decided to give them another chance... BIG MISTAKE again. I wanted to call and have them remove the charges for the 2 order of chips, but it isn't worth my time. It is what it is and I'll continue to not recommend this location and probably Chipotle in general... This particular location needs an experienced manager who can delegate and train respective responsibility...its clear the staff at this location had no clue as to what they should be doing other than assembling precooked food one order at a time... Suggestion for this location, you have one cashier, this is fine. You have two food preparers, one person should be preparing on line orders while the other is preparing walk in orders....isnt that a simple strategy? If there aren't any walk ins the other can help the on line order preparer and vice a versa...simple. I'm sorry to have to give bad surveys, but Chipotle is not inexpensive...a main course and a side item cost anywhere from $10 to $13...if I were to frequent Chipotle 5 times a week, do the math, that's pricy! When paying premium prices, you expact premium quality and service, which I did not get. The cashier in this situation tried her best, in fact she took over in preparing the rest of my order, the two order preparers didn't know what to do first or what to do next. To me that means management is the reason for this cluster f***... This location clearly needs better management because this is where it starts. Employees are guided and trained as to their expections by their leaders and is a direct reflection... Todays world there are cameras everywhere and access to the internet is just a cell phone view away...you gotta train your people and guide them better than what I experienced...you also need to hire quality people and compensate accordingly to get the quality service that is expected...after all, I did spend close to $50 for 4 relatively simple meals, not including drinks...people are more sophisticated now a days. Horrible visit to the Glen Mills Chipotle today at about 4:00pm. It was my second time ever visiting this location. I ordered 2 cheese quesadillas for my sons (our order was to go)- when we got home the cheese was not melted at all on either of them. When I asked the girl making the food a question about how the tacos worked she ignored me and threw down 3 tortillas and proceeded to ask me what kind of rice. She then asked me what protein and I asked her what kind of proteins there were and she sighed and pointed to the containers- I couldn't tell what was what so I asked her what each one was and clearly annoyed she rattled them off. When she got to the salsa she asked "hot or mild"- she mumbled and I said "excuse me?" She loudly blurted HOT OR MILD. She asked me if I wanted guac- didn't bother telling me that it was extra. She was acting as though I was bothering her when there weren't even any other customers. I asked for a side of guacamole and a side of queso- I assumed there would be chips with those but that was extra as well. The queso was lumpy and looked almost curdled. Been here about 5 times over 2 months. Its the same sad story every time. Slow service, out of 1-4 items (lettuce, guac, rice, veggies), slow and inefficient staff, inconsistently prepared veggies (sometimes sliced too big or too small), long line. Never fails there's always something wrong. And they apologize and sometimes give gift cards, but it never changes.
