I visited the Hanover location last night and was extremely disappointed by the condition of the restaurant. There was trash scattered throughout the dining area and patio, and even the station with the forks, napkins, and other supplies was covered with garbage. The level of cleanliness was unacceptable. Management and corporate should take a closer look at this location to make sure proper cleaning protocols are followed. I don't even remember the last time I last had Chipotle! It was maybe 2 years ago now but I definitely don't frequent Chipotle as often as I used to. I remember every time I had gotten food from other locations, I would find worms and other insects LOL & other times, often would feel pretty sick after eating. I got Chipotle for a last min dinner meal since we were shopping in the area. It was packed, line out the door! The wait to order was around 35 minutes. I originally wanted a chicken quesadilla, however, was told that they only do kids quesadillas in store & only did chicken quesadillas if ordered for pickup via app. I ended up going with a burrito bowl with cilantro lime rice, chicken, pico de gallo, green sauce, corn, sour cream, and cheese. After many bad experiences with finding things in my food from Chipotle, I of course took some time to inspect the bowl haha. Each bite I made sure that nothing was moving. Luckily for me, I didn't end up finding anything and also felt fine the day after too. Seems like this location is pretty good with keeping the food clean! Filthy. Filthy. Filthy. Walked in to order takeout last week. Dumpsters outside were overflowing. Outside trash cans were overflowing with trash all over the ground. Inside even worse if that is possible. Trash and food all over tables and floor as wastebaskets were full. People actually left their trash on the soda fountain station. It was gross. I walked out. I called the Board of Health the next day and they reported the restaurant has been an ongoing problem for some time. read more

Chipotlane takes for ever to get your food. 20 minutes at the window past the order due time. Get half the amount you're supposed to. They also usually forget ingredients or parts of your order. we went to get a catering that was supposed to be picked up at 5:30. Paying $11 for this while others that "chipotle hack" their order to receive a bowl that can barely close is the definition of inconsistency - and yes, they pay the same price that I did. You'd think if you got to the end of the line and these were all the ingredients you ordered and were ready to cash out AND it only filled half the bowl, the staff would be trained to go back and add some additional volume to fill the order and give the customers what they paid for. Rice was as if it was uncooked. It was tiny and rock hard. It made the entire meal inedible. When I contacted service they were very rude. First two times they said they would inform the store but couldn't do anything for me even though I could not eat my meal. Third time, I was offered a coupon and then hung up on when I asked for a refund. When I contacted a fourth time, I finally was offered a refund but they demanded I return their coupon first. I love Chipotle and my family are frequent fliers at the Hingham location. However, they were unexpectedly closed today so we decided to go the extra ten minutes down the road to Hanover. Enormous mistake. I ordered at 5:40 PM for a 6:20 pickup. I understand it can be tough to keep up with timed orders, but our food wasn't ready until 6:55, which is pretty damn egregious. As if that wasn't bad enough, they forgot my daughter's meal and my husband had to go back in and wait an additional TWENTY FIVE minutes while they made one kids quesadilla. If you don't feel like doing the math, that is ONE HOUR after the original pick up time. I have a ton of respect for food service workers as I know it's a thankless job. But these employees were honestly terrible. No communication, no urgency, no apology, and no system in place whatsoever. Several employees standing around waiting for walk-in orders when there was no line, and no one helping the room full of people waiting. Despite all the reviews posted, I'm here to tell you that recently the place has changed and the service I receive is impeccable. This is coming from someone who will go here 4-5 times per week. I'm serious I go in almost every single night to get a chicken bowl. The food has no issues I can't speak for any other meats other than chicken though. Every time I get the homemade lemonade and that purple drink which is absolutely fire, tastes like I'm in Puerto Rico. The people who serve me always have a great attitude and most times give me extra of what I want because of how kind they are. As I said this is recent and for the Past 3 and a half months yes 4-5 times per week and I have a absolutely no problems and only people who make my night. Sometimes have given me a bowl for free. I'm sure staff changes but the summer staff and people right now are insanely underrated. If you're kind to people they will be kind back we're humans were here to help eachother out. The place is clean, whenever I walk in at 9:50 pm they got 2-3 guys mopping and sweeping. I have nothing but good stuff to say about this jaunt so don't listen to all these Karen's putting 1 star ratings the boys at this chipotle hook me up. I feel like people leaving bad reviews are always looking for a tiny detail or reason to bash on this place because it isn't a 5 star restaurant it's literally a healthy fast food chain give me a break if there's a piece of lettuce in your guacamole. Only good worker is the skinny guy with long hair, he is so welcoming. He is efficient and friendly. You need a new manager in there who can make sure their people are focused on service and efficiency and not chit chatting with themselves the whole time, apparently no time to clean but plenty of time to chat, they don't even say hi to the customer. Worst part is I got sick and was literally in pain all night after eating their bowl. My husband checked his bowl and said the guac was bad which explains why I got sick. After going about 10 times i feel confident i can now leave 1 star and advise this location that they need to walk down a few doors and try to poach some employees from Chic Fil A because they seem to have a fantastic quality control system down. The good: I really only keep returning for Mr. Pibb. The bad: Holy Cross contamination! I like my toppings on the side (salsa, guacamole, corn, sour cream ect.) Every time all these items are disgustingly cross contaminated. The sour cream has rice in it, the guacamole has cheese and old lettuce leaves. (note, my meal had NO lettuce or cheese in it per my request) I do not think i have had 1 single order be 100% corrected. Not 1 out of 10. Something is always missing like utensles (even though i specifically order them via the app), toppings, food in the bowl ..... #3 That kills me 50% of the time is the wet soggy brown bags!! I do the chipotle lane drive through and i would say about 1/2 of the time i head back to work with messed up clothing because the brown bags they hand you are sopping wet on the bottom because they did not wrap the food inside properly or seal the cups or something. Finally left car in line (still did not move while I was inside) went in and pushed passed line to the front to get my food which had been sitting out for a while, not only was it cold. Should be negative stars. This has to be the worst Chipotle location in the state, maybe the country. The management needs to be fired. The dining toom was again closed with a hand written note saying pickup only through the drive up pick up. We we order from the parking lot, wait to get the food and drive the 20 mins home so we can eat. We received nothing we ordered. My bowl had nothing I ordered except lettuce. I ordered chicken, black beans, brown rice, tomato salsa, corn salsa, sour cream and guac. Would have had cheese but they were out. Out of cheese?? Recieved some type of steak, white rice and lettuce. Correct order on the lid, but not in the bowl. The bowl was about half full. My daughter didn't even get her order we got someone named Jacob's bowl. Nothing close to what she ordered or even close to what was on the sticker on top. It had chicken, white rice and lettuce. We ordered chips and salsa. Received the chips, no salsa. The chips were so salty you couldn't eat them. We love Chipotle and have it often. The location in Hingham MA is great. Never an issue always good. Hanover as I said is a complete dumpster fire. Has been since it opened. Its typically filthy. The staff is rude even by Massachusetts standards. When the Hanover location opened we were very excited since its twice as close as Hingham is to us, but we have never had a good experience at Hanover. When it opened we palced an online order for over $60.00. We never received the food. They were so disorganized and they said there was something wrong with the order system. Either way we never got our food or a refund. We will never go back to the Hanover location. And everyone should avoid it like the plage. Shut the location down, get new management and retrain the staff. Dont believe me Chipotle Execs, do an undercover boss at that location. You'll see. read more

I was starving, hadn't eaten since lunch and it's like 845 I come in there's 2 people ahead of me, like 8 workers on and one person prepping something, the people ahead of me ordered chicken and the girl goes were all out, now the guy behind is almost done chopping a ton of chicken... the girl says okay orders something else and now it's me, I go I'll wait for the chicken and she says we're not making more it's out... I was like umm well he's literally finished chopping and why don't you check the to go station since everyone in line wants chicken. Now there out of pico, I'm hangry, I sighed and asked if they could check. (Again there was more of) Now I have chicken and pico in my burrito and i was treated like the bane of their existence. Swore I'd never go to Chipotle again after two food-borne illness issues at Boston locations. This is a new location, was looking for something quick and stopped in spontaneously. Figured a new location would be safe. Was immediately turned off due to customer area cleanliness. The dine in tables were a mess, but maybe there had just been a rush. Got to the counter and the food prep area was even worse. I immediately decided not to order food. My wife did order food. She was not getting the rice as it was massively cross-contaminated. She asked for fresh rice, and the fellow working was quick to accommodate. He brought a plate of fresh rice, used a scoop off a clean plate, and then threw that plate away. Except that it didn't really go into the trash. Ended up in the barrel, on the barrel, and mostly on the floor. We were polite and paid for one burrito, but it was thrown away untouched once outside. Now I'll definitely never return to any Chipotle. It's obvious the brand doesn't align with cleanliness at any level. After typing this I reviewed the other reviews and more than half mention how filthy the location is. Wish I read them last week. Surprised management not responding to anyone. read more
