For the life of me, I can't figure out why this restaurant doesn't have FIVE STARS. I come here all the time and it is absolutely worth those five stars. Why? For starters, you get a burrito so big it literally needs large machinery to be properly rolled. Like an excavator or something. Fresh ingredients are near bursting from every side like a tidal wave of seasoned meats, veggies and cilantro. There might even be a salsa shark in that tidal wave, you just don't know. These burritos are huge! Hey, they're delicious too. If you can't appreciate one of these bad boys, I don't know what to tell you. Staff is polite. Restaurant is always clean. Bathrooms are neat. Plenty of parking. There's no reason to complain about this very well run restaurant unless you have a masters degree in Karen. For real. Probably the dirtiest restaurant I've ever been in. Didn't see the filth until after purchasing food. Went to find a table and the were all covered with crumbs and puddles. The floor hadn't been swept in DAYS, MAYBE WEEKS. Trash overflowing. Really has me wondering if they clean the kitchen. Also, the first person we encountered on the line did not speak English. I hope a Moe's Southwest Grill opens up in the area to compete with Chipotle. Went to go pick up my chipotle I ordered via the app on Sunday April 7th. I get there there's and first thing I see is a sign on the door listing all the ingredients that the restaurant is out of (see picture). Mind you, that these ingredients are most of the stuff in my burrito bowl (see picture) and chips and guacamole order. When I go to the mobile order pick up and give them my name. The employee hand me my bag and says thank you. I double check before leaving the store because my order felt lighter than usual. First thing I noticed is my chips did not come with guacamole. I go up to the employee and say that you forgot my guacamole. The employee tells me that "we are out of guacamole" ( just like the door said but the app didn't mention). I was like OK, but ordered guacamole. The employee says "We can replace it with queso" and I say "I don't want queso I want the guacamole I ordered and paid for" and the employee repeated "we don't have guacamole". When I asked for a refund on the items I paid for but didn't receive. Another employee chimes in with "they don't do refunds that I need to call customer service". Seeing the situation at the restaurant I figured best to leave before getting angry. I did call customer service after searching for phone number because I didn't feel like chatting with a bot named Pepper. I did get a credit (in the form of Chipotle rewards) for a free entree. Bottom line. My opinion is that chipotle at one time was the better places to eat in the area. However, recently they always seems to be out of something. They are reducing the portion size (at least on the burrito bowls). The quality of the food has slipped. I'm not sure how this place is during the week, but came here on a Sunday when it was not busy and had a couple in front of me. They waited awhile to be helped and there was one other person on the line helping a gentleman with 6 to go bowls. There were 4 staff members standing around in the back talking while the front line and the long line of customers behind me waited. They were out of sofritos (the plant based meat) and said they were out for the day. This should have been posted. Finally got through the line and there were no utensils out and the tables in the dining room were majority dirty with left over food on them. Not sure if this place is understaffed, not supervised well, or just a bad day, but don't think I'd come here again read more

This location is inconsistent and has major quality control issues. Good luck trying to go here at lunch on a normal weekday with the base fully open. You wont be able to park and will be waiting in line for 45 minutes at least. Usually by the time I get up to the counter to order there is a wait on the meat I want or Quak or something else. This is still the only location in the county so beggers cant be choosers. They really should open a second to take some of the pressure off this one. read more

- numerous times our food has been over salted. We try to find what condiment is making everything so salty (guac?, salsa?, cheese?, rice?). Never can figure it out. - portions need to be bigger. I remember 5 years ago that their burritos would be so big that I can save half of it for the other day. Now I am able to eat a whole burrito in one sitting. Maybe it would help if I was there watching them make my food, but it shouldn't be that way. It takes longer to stand in line in person. - I recommend ordering online. Every time, our order has been done early or right on time. When we go pick our order up, there seems to be a huge line for in-person orders. This chipotle always gives you small portions. It normally tastes fresh but every scoop is small and you leave irritated. Staff is normally friendly. They do not always know their promotions going on which sucks when you are supposed to get a free bowl for wearing a jersey and then you don't. Please give us a proper scoop size!!! We are military and have been to many chipotles all over the country and this is by far the worst we've ever been to. We've only been three times and it's made us sick like food poisoning everytime. This was absolutely the worst chipotle experience I've ever had. Not only was my food completely wrong, the service was atrocious, team members allowed mobile customers to just wait and not allow anyone to tell them their names while food just sat on a shelf behind the counter. I literally had to walk behind the counter to get my order. My order was a bowl of rice. It was gross, it was missing half of what I asked for and it was cold. The chips were stale. The trash cans in the restaurant were overflowing on the ground. There was no hot sauce in its spot. The soda machine basin was overflowing with ice. This experience was appalling. read more

I blew Chipotle Corp up after my last visit, and ended up getting something like six free entrees. I asked for four, since that was how many entrees we'd had at this location and they had all sucked. So, that was nice. We've used four of them so far. Every time it has been the same. Most recently yesterday, I could barely bring myself to eat more than a few bites of my bowl, it was literally just disgusting. The rice wasn't even cooked! It was hard and crunchy. My wife didn't finish hers either, and she ended up getting sick. Not to mention apparently the staff don't know how to apply the free entree voucher. First time, the guac was included. Second time, they made me pay for it. I went and checked using the app - I can get a Carne Asada burrito with double meat and guac, a $16 burrito, for free using one of the vouchers. Going to be trying that today, please someone argue with me, I'll just order it through the app while I'm standing right there and smile as you hand it to me for free. Ordered a simple meal: rice, chicken, little bit of black beans, extra corn salsa, cheese. Side guac, side sour cream, chips. Fountain soda. The result: Rice was too salty and had large clumps. Too many beans and not drained, so soupy. Chicken too spicy. Some spice is good, this was too hot. I suspect the grill was not cleaned from the spicy proteins. Extra corn salsa requested but not provided. Sour cream requested on side but glopped on the bowl. I hate this and had to scoop much of it off. Scant cheese left after I scraped a bunch of the sour cream off. Too much cilantro and in long wide strips. This was in the guac and the rice Chips were actually good though, which is different. Guacamole was okay. So my experience at this Chipotle is about 80% failure to deliver quality meal. I will not return. Chipotle is my favorite restaurant, or it was. I will try other stores when I travel, but not the store closest to my home. read more

Now I'm not one for calorie counting, but it's just to make a point that all the burrito, rice and beans are just fillers - and they cheapest items on the menu. A burrito filled with vegetables, a meat, with salsa, corn, sour cream and lettuce - it will leave you satisfied without the heavy, fully overloaded feeling that I first experienced with ordering chipotle. Give it a try. The Chipotle Tabasco is a staple favorite of mine here and at home. You can find it at Walmart if you're looking for it. The lines move quick, super friendly staff. This was one of the most uncleanly Chipotle establishments that I have been into... anywhere. There is not too much to say about the food flavor and so forth, but I will say that getting food here was a bad choice. On the employee side of the glass, there was food all over the counters between the different selections of meat/beans/rice/salsa. It was pretty hard to deal with. The rest of the restaurant was not much nicer. There was food particles thrown on the floor and the area around the foundation drinks was filled with sputter from drinks and other small straw wrappers. If I could give 0 stars I would. Let me just start with saying I rarely get Chipotle so when I do it's usually because I'm craving it or my other options have failed me. This may be the worst Chipotle in MARYLAND! The staff is awful, almost everyone is new and they seem like they don't care which reflects in their performance. I had to resort to 2 hard shell tacos instead of the 3 I originally wanted and needed to fulfill my appetite however I was informed that they would have to make more shells. The girls literally "slopped" my meat and toppings into the tacos shells and I felt like I was "bothering" them from the demeanor they gave off. My food was cold by the time I got home (I only live 5 minutes away) and needless to say I go to eat my chips with my queso and the chips are so stale I had to spit it out! Totally unacceptable! So now I'm sitting here $20 less later and still hungry. Smh. They will never see my hard earned pennies again! Get a new staff and hopefully management/corporate sees this! read more

I LOVE CHIPOTLE. That's almost an understatement. But this location is awful. Terrible service. TERRIBLE service. I went once.. and walked away disappointed, not only with the service but with the food. Gave it a second chance because of my slight addiction, and even worse. You're rushed thru.. so much so that by the end of the line I am having to ask for things that were at the front. When returning my change to me it was done in such a sloppy manner that it scattered all over the floor. Instead of apologies or help, the next person is being rung up. When I moved to the area I was elated to know that my favorite spot would be here, but I can honestly say that I probably won't be eating at this location ever again. Just not worth it. Chipotle is not inexpensive.. I'll take my money somewhere else.. OR to a different location. I hope management of this Chipotle reads these reviews. This isn't a one time bad experience... The food is great, there is a nice variety of combinations to get. It's good if u want something quick that fills you up. However the chips are a bit stale and the food gets cold fast. I love Chipotle in any state, city, and country HONESTLY. It is the only place where I can rely on the food to taste exactly the same no matter where I am. In my opinion this is the only establishment in the Patuxent River area that always has plenty of people walking in and out. Other restaurants around the area usually seem to only be serving one or two tables at a time -- or I even find the place empty. I find that the employees are very inflexible here? I know exactly what I want on my Chipotle and have it the same every time. The first employee that you approach always asks "for here or to go" which I kindly respond "to stay" but after several visits to this location, I realized that I should just say "for here" since they don't seem to understand what "to stay" means?!?! They are friendly when it comes to asking for extras like rice, tomatoes and etc. Uhm.. Yeah. I mean there's not much else to say about this location. The food is delicious as always. read more

This is by far the worst chipotle I have been to. Almost every time I go, a part of my order is incorrect. Usually it's just small things, like forgetting to double wrap or putting on the wrong meat.
