Almost every time I'm glad to have eaten at Chipotle, until I went to this one. I should have read the reviews first. I ask for a kids chips and the lady behind the counter says they only accompany a kids meal. I see like 20 of them behind the counter ready to go. Every other Chipotle I go to accomodates me and sometimes charge me for a regular chip which I don't even care. This lady won't budge so fine. Then I pay for my meal only to find the soda fountain has no ice, AND the soda is warm and low on carbonation. This place needs an episode of Kitchen Nightmares to get back on track. read more

as someone who works in the food industry i have never been so baffled by the blissful ignorance of ever single worker in that establishment today (june 4th around 1pm) the whole encounter was uncomfortably rushed, extremely messy and lazy. when i had ordered a side of qeso it was smeared all around the side of the container and they simply just put another one over it. I ordered togo and when arrived at the register the girl with big eyelashes asked me if i wanted chips or a drink then proceeded to walk away before i even answered. Then she started putting my food on a tray so i let them know again it was togo and she unnecessarily rolled her eyes extremely dramatically then demanded someone else cover it up. Cannot stand this chipotle location. I didnt mind at first but the first bad interaction i had there was when i asked for extra sour cream in my bowl and the worker was like "sorry their a bit stingy on that" and proceeded to not add anymore, im literally paying for the fucking food so why cant i have as much as id like. Im PAYING for the SERVICE and FOOD. Next interaction was when i had went and the bowl looked okay but i took a couple bites and noticed a lot of undercooked rice and it was awful. It was hard and got stuck in my teeth and my chicken also hard chunks in it which was genuinely disgusting. Idk if it was fat or maybe even bone who knows but it was awful. I was going to say something but i was like maybe their having an off day as i do work retail so understand but it did make me not want to go back for a while. And lastly to really make me never want to go back, my girlfriend and i had just gotten off work as we work nearby and it was i think 10:20ish and i know chipotle closes at 11:00 so mind you 40 MINUTES till they close. We walk in and the women who was standing at the counter about to fill our bowls was giving us the most nastiest disgusting look the entire time we are walking in. She had an attitude the entire time and since she was literally mumbling when asking me if i wanted a bowl or burrito i asked her what she said and she repeated it in a nasty tone. She continued to have an attitude the entire time until we walked out. Girl you get paid minimum wage and you dont close for another 40 minutes. Id understand if she was making us a full meal but your literally scooping food into a fucking bowl youll be okay. I understand people coming in right at close, where i work we have that often, but girl you had another 40 minutes till your shift and we didnt come in loud and obnoxious so calm down youll be alright. I went here for the first time yesterday. I should have read the reviews first. I wasn't greeted when I arrived at the counter. I was actually ignored for at least 3 minutes. How hard is it to say hello? As someone who works in customer service, I would say that these employees need training! Also VERY small salad portion, stale chips. GO ELSEWHERE! Awful service, rushed every single person that was in the line, none hygienic cleaning methods, I wanted fajita for the order but since the woman behind the counter went so fast I didn't have a chance to ask. When I asked the one guy that seemed nice if I could at least have it on the side he tried asking the one other woman who checked everyone out if she could do that. She proceeded to give him a dirty look then he looked scared and said "he tried", I swear I saw him shake a little. The rice is undercooked, and the portions are god awful. My husband asked for extra rice in his bowl. Apparently not only is this a charge now but it has to go in a separate bowl with a separate lid. We have never been charged extra before or had to deal with the hassle of an extra container. My husband does not get salsa or beans in his bowl but he likes a bit of extra rice. Yesterday I tried to come and after being ignored by staff me and multiple customers standed in line for an hr not one staff member said hey we aren't taking any more orders. I had to tell back and get someone's attention for them to tell us and she was very rude. Today I was able to place an order online and pick up time says 1:30. Its 1:46 im still in line no where near the window to get my food. I hear the staff being rude to the cars at the window. While I can see in the window and their just standing around. I was a manager at taco bell for 4+ years and I was the main manager when the new taco bell opened and we had 2 parking lots filled, we handled it better than this. I live 5 minutes from this place but I choose to drive 20 minutes to a different location. The portions they give seem like it's coming from their paychecks. I am expressing my extreme dissatisfaction with my experience at your location today around 5:45 pm. This was my first time going to this location, I should have checked out the reviews first! A one-star rating for a CHIPOLE is beyond ridiculous! I attempted to place an order for our family of five. I was informed by your staff that there was a limit of two bowls per customer per transaction. This meant that to purchase meals for our entire family, Your staff informed me to complete multiple separate transactions, leaving the store and re-entering the line each time. That means I would have to be in line 3 times, 3 separate transactions to get 5 bowls!!!! When I questioned this policy and requested to speak with a manager, the manager on duty confirmed that this was indeed their policy and was extremely rude about it. This "policy" is completely unreasonable and created a significant inconvenience. It is absurd to expect a customer to repeatedly leave and rejoin a line simply to purchase a reasonable quantity of food for their family. As a loyal Chipotle customer for many years, I have never encountered such a policy at any other location. We have been eating at Chipotle since it opened and have always been very satisfied. I was already stressed from a long work meeting and felt this added an unnecessary burden to his day. Due to the inflexible and illogical nature of this policy and the unhelpful attitude of the manager, I was forced to abandon the order and take our business to another restaurant in Hagerstown, MD. As everyone else has stated... This place is absolutely ridiculous. I went in to order two bowls and a kids meal, as a reasonable order for a family of 3. After waiting in line for 10 minutes with only one person in front of me (who only ordered a bowl), I was finally next. Not a "hey" or "welcome to Chipotle" came from the employees but a "what do you want". I made my order that was shorted on their normal portions. I politely asked to get a normal amount and the employee seemed offended like I was taking a penny of her 7 penny paycheck for the week. After dealing with the poor attitude of this lady, the male manager came over and rudely told me that I cannot place an order for this amount in person, "this is an express lane and I will not serve you next time. You will have place an order online." Dumfounded, I explained to him I will not be doing that since they LOVE to put minuscule portions in the online orders since the customer is not there to confront them on it. I stated if you do not want my hard earned money, then I will gladly spend it elsewhere. I have not been back since and do not ever returning to this location or any for that matter since corporate does not want to correct the despicable actions of this store. I've made my last trip to Martinsburg Chipotle!! They give the smallest, skimpiest portions and refused to add any extra when asked. They added a wrong item to my bowl, then told me "oh I'm sorry, I won't charge you extra if you want it ". They didn't even offer to remake it. Seriously? Then they don't want to add extra lettuce or sour cream? They absolutely will not give any extra honey chipotle vinaigrette, even if I was willing to pay for it. It was a tablespoon in a plastic container. I have never had this issue at any other Chipotle other than this location in Martinsburg, and this is NOT the first time. It's happened to other people I know too. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt, but nothing's changed, and this definitely is my last trip there, as there's too many other places to eat. I visit this chipotle a lot, it's one of my fiancé's favorite places to go -- and one of the only places we can agree on. The past few times we've been in there, there was one employee that was absurdly rude to her co-workers, in front of customers and other employees. She called another worker fat after he was talking about having a manager shirt , and said "the only reason you have that shirt is because you're big and nothing else fits you" . The visit before that ,she was being fussy with a girl at the end of the line because she wasn't bringing orders directly to her and she had to move 2 feet to see what meat was in a bowl. Zero stars! Walked in to find a bunch of people standing around. Then read some signs to figure out you can only order online. Downloaded the app sitting in the parking lot. Ordered my food paid for it said promise time for pickup at 7:20. Ordered extra rice & extra steak. At 7:50 my food was finally ready to grab! I get home open my food and find maybe 2 tablespoons full of rice, I counted 7 pieces of steak and so much hot sauce I couldn't even eat it. I paid 17.50 for a tiny bowl of food I threw in the trash! I'm so tired of going in to fix my online order. With covid and online orders rising, you'd think they would have training courses on how to read the receipts. I've had them cancel an order before (just because) and not tell me anything. When I called to ask what happened, they gave me some vague excuse. If you go in to fix something because they did not give you something you paid for, be prepared to be ignored and get angry stares from the employees. They do not want to help you with anything. Including getting your order correct. This last time, they did not put guac in a kids order or chicken in another, although they were on the order and paid for. The guac in my bowl had huge chunks of avocado. There may be some good employees here but I have yet to meet them. Maybe it's a training issue. Please help them get their ish together! If I could get away with not selecting a star, I would have. I used to love going to Chipotle but not so much anymore. They are holding the dressing hostage for some reason. They barely put any dressing in the cup and then wonders why you have to ask for more than one. I would pay for extra dressing but it shouldn't have to come to that. How about filling up the cup and that way the customers will no longer need to ask for more. What is the issue here with the dressing? I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.
