I ordered a chipotle bowl online with various toppings at 9:16 and when I picked up my order it was a completely different order with only brown rice, cheese, beans and sour cream splattered everywhere. When I went to get my correct order, the server said that they did "not have any of the toppings" I ordered. However, when I looked over the containers of toppings, they had most things I asked for. I asked them why they didn't make my order if they "did not have anything," and her answer was because they just "make it anyways even if they don't have it at the moment". I can't understand why they would just make and serve the order like that without comment. Along with this horrible service, the girl I was talking to was not understanding. When I asked her how to get a refund, she continuously said "go to the app" and proceeded with no other information or aid. Gross- my husband just ate there and he said that all the red trays were dirty. Here's the story: he asked the counter person if the tray he was getting was clean. The counter person noticed it was dirty, apologized and asked someone in the back to get clean trays out there. In the meantime, my husband got a cardboard tray. He saw the guy in back who was supposed to bring out the clean trays look around, shake off the dirty red trays, look around again and put the dirty red trays back as if they were just cleaned. If that is what cleaning is in this restaurant where a bunch of customers were hacking away with some respiratory illness that is gross. As far as Chipotles go, this one is pretty solid. All the food tastes fresh, the meat is well marinated and tender and the employees don't skimp on toppings. They also seemed to have a pretty good track of successfully rolling up the burrito and not splitting it (always slows the line down when the burrito roller employee constantly splits the burrito and has to re-roll). read more

They always give smaller portions of the meat and they don't to havetheflow down like others. I will go to Tyson's corner one rather than this one that is five minutes from my house. I am a regular chipotle go-er and I am completely appalled at this BS! I asked the young man who made my bowl to put a tiny bit more rice and he said "I can't because my manager has been on us about our portions" The portions are way too small in the first place! Not to mention how slow everyone is! The serving area is just disgusting. I would not be surprised if someone has already gotten sick because of it. Also when the man scooped the sour cream it dripped into the other food containers and no one seemed to care. This could potentially cause an allergic reaction. This is by Far, the WORST location I have ever been to. It's so bad I actually opened a Yelp account just to write a review. I will also be contacting the corporate office. Portions are small, and ingredients are of poor quality, if they even have them!! I've ate here several times thinking it would improve but it never gets better. They are out of Tea every time I go and there is always a wait to have it refilled. I would give it NO Stars if that was an option. As you can tell by the other reviews I am not the only one with complaints. It also seems management really does not care, since they have name recognition people will come. This absolute idiots gave me brown rice. I don't know a single person on earth who would voluntarily order brown rice. Unbelievable. The brown rice caused extreme bowel movements and explosive diarrhea for weeks. Would never visit again under any circumstances. This concerns an order I placed 2 days ago. I ordered a barbacoa burrito. It looked like they were skimping me on the meat so I asked the young man that was assembling my burrito to add more. Usually when this is the case at other Chipotle locations, employees are willing to add more meat to the burrito but this guy was a real jerk. So in addition to the tiny portion of meat I started with, he added an even smaller portion (honestly it was almost nothing) and I asked him, for a second time, to add more meat. I usually don't run into this problem at any other Chipotle. They usually get it right the first time and throw a decent amount of meat into your burrito. Very rarely have I received a burrito I felt was 'light' in the meat department. After the second time I asked him to put a sufficient amount of meat, he said he would have to charge me extra if he added more. I didn't agree to this, I asked him to put more meat because as it was it was already lacking. When I went to pay they charged me an additional $3.25 for the tiny pinch of "extra" meat he added to my burrito. This place is a rip off. You're better off finding a different location so you don't have to deal with these people. It's very unsatisfying to know that the product you used to pay a certain price for is now more expensive, for less than what you received before. It's also pretty infuriating when it's done by unnecessarily rude employees. If this place doesn't get their you know what together, they might as well just shut down now. It's clear I'm not the only one getting this kind of service based on the other Yelp reviews. Won't be coming back. read more

This location kind of sucks. I went here a while ago and ordered my usual burrito bowl. I've NEVER gotten such a small burrito bowl for my order. Some people in line were ordering extra meat and paying extra $$ for it - but the extra they were paying for is pretty much the normal portion of meat at most other Chipotles. I left feeling pleasantly full and with no leftovers - which leads me to think this Chipotle's portion sizes are hugely and significantly smaller than other chipotles. I am a HUGE Chipotle lover. Bar none my favorite fast food restaurant. However, the service in the McLean Chipotle is sub par. While friendly, the employees are inexperienced, relatively stingy with portions, and poor listeners. They tore both burritos sold and put the wrong meat on a burrito bowl. Only reason for going there is because it has less traffic than going to the better Tyson's Corner Chipotle. read more

I am so glad they opened a Chipotle in Mclean! When it first opened in the beginning of this year, they didn't give out very much food. As summer came, they gave larger and larger portions for their bowls and burritos. I even remember one time I ordered a burrito and it had ripped because they filled it with too much food! And unlike some Chipotles around here, there is plenty of parking in the parking lot. Now, I would say that this Chipotle puts a lot of food into your burrito or bowl. read more

This is my 4th time in this Chipotle and 2nd time no forks, and employees don't know where are the forks so I waited couples minutes. When they first opened, the place was a disaster. Slow service, sloppy food and they actually ran out of things! That having been said, they now have their act together. It's a perfectly average Chipotle, which is to say a quick, reasonably priced, tasty alternative to processed fast food. Nice to have in McLean. The service is horrible and when you say you want ALL VEGGIES, they skip through the salsa, corn, and fajitas and just give you lettuce and guacamole which is an extra cost and close the lid on you. I know that the place is busy and they rush through all the customers, but they barely even filled half of my burrito bowl and I was to pay full price for that. The food itself is solid (and arguably my fav "fast food" restaurant), however its the hit-or-miss service (by high school kids) and the mostly chintzy portions as compared to other Chipotle restaurants that I've visited. I've tried the McLean branch at least six times, and on five occasions, the server put one (literally) spoonful of whichever protein I had selected, and when I order the guacamole, literally its a tablespoon. Although I'm a McLean resident, I prefer to patronize the Chipotle in Falls Church on Rt7 -- they're more generous with their fillings. read more

By far the worst customer service ever. Employees here are in such a rush to service the person who hasn't even entered the establishment that they throw your food in the bowl. It's hard to listen to what items a person would like while you're busy asking them about their next choice. Chicken was apparently being cooked and I was told there would be a wait time which I agreed to and said was fine. The employee on the line then grows impatient herself and proceeds to take the salsa container and dip it into the bin of chicken & returned to place it in my bowl which I told her I did not approve of. There are reasons why we wear gloves, sanitize and use certain items to store and serve food in. After moving on she continued to rush through my order interjecting "is that all?" while I was still explaining which items I would like. I mean it's just rude to cut someone off. You don't need to rush it wasn't rush hour time, nor is it polite. Why should the customer behind in line or walking in be anymore important the the customer being currently attended to? Not the first time this has happened here but it is definitely the last. Just a shame that employees who were probably properly trained can bring down a restaurant and ruin an experience. read more

I have given this place so many chances. I always get a steak burrito. The biggest problem I have is a very simple one. They cant wrap it. I have gotten it several times where thier thumb has gone through, where everything falls out, and where it just looks like a baseball. I've ordered online/pick-up at this Chipotle several times and usually have a good experience. However, 1 in every 5 times or so I'll have a minor incident that discourages me from coming back. Once my guacamole had turned brown from sitting out, which made the entire bowl look unappetizing. Twice I have found pieces of avocado shells in my guac. I know that Chipotle is busy and must be a fast-paced restaurant to cook for, but I've never found avocado shells in my guacamole anywhere else I've eaten. The norovirus scare + INSANE lack of convenient parking has stopped me from going to this location since last summer (roughly six months ago). read more

I have been a regular customer to Chipotle and this Old Dominion place. However, I have been very disappointed for the past three dining experiences: rice is still raw and chews like dry powder; service is slow despite a bunch of people standing in the service line, steak is bleeding, vegetables (tomato) are even not fresh sometimes It used to be the favorite place for my son. Today I decided to tell the cashier that the rice was not well cooked. Apparently, the response I received seemed to be indifferent and so what. My concern is that Chipotle will turn into a failure very soon if they keep expanding without quality control. As customers, we will let our tongue and stomach decide where to dine.
