I have visited three different Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants in the paste month and each time, the restaurants were out of several ingredients (chicken and beef to be specific) that were required to fulfill my order. The service was okay but I would have appreciated it if one of my servers washed her hands thoroughly rather than giving them a 3 second rinse with foaming soap and running water. Also, the Newburyport location would be wise to wash the window of the restaurant. The windows are greasy and streaked, and erase any notion that the restaurant is sanitary and well maintained. read more

I love chipotle... usually. Today I arrived to this Chipotle excited to get my bowl to fulfill me after my long day at Canobie Lake Park. When I started my order, the woman working gave me 1/32 of a chicken breast on top of my bed of white rice. Honestly, they should have just let the chicken live because my 3 pieces were not worth the death of that chicken. Anyways, I asked if I could please have some more chicken. Then I was asked, "so double chicken?". A normal serving would do, and I was definitely not going to pay for double when it would be maybe a chicken toe more. Each time I come to this location, I am certain I will never go back. But like a dog to its vomit, I find myself returning. I wonder to myself: Why do I subject myself to such suffering? I already have a miserable life. Why must I make it worse? I would not wish a bowl from this location on my worst enemy. Sometimes they will give you next to nothing. A few cubes of chicken, a sprinkle of cheese, and a peasant's ration of frijoles. Other times they will pile on chicken and beans to your hearts desire. However, you may realize upon digging into your food that you should've been happy with the small portion. This location has the most rancid ingredients I have ever tasted. Bad. So after the 5th time they didn't have honey chicken on completely different nights, I asked the lady why they don't ever have it. She responds and says that I have to come earlier. Son and I got severe food poisoning after eating at this location. I had the chicken bowl in My Son. I hoped it was going to be better than the reviews, but it lived up to its expectations. We went thru the Chipotlane, the girl working there was very nice. I went inside to the restroom, which needed attention and wasn't very clean, but I've been in worse. I got three hard shell tacos to eat on our road trip, they were drowning in liquid. When I opened my container my husband said "gross" and I agree with him, it looked really disgusting. Because of the liquid the tacos were sitting in, the shells disintegrated and all of the meat and beans fell out. It was super messy to try and eat and I amazed that I didn't get anything on me. Out of my 3 tacos, I could only eat one and the top part of the other 2. Most of my tacos are still sitting in the container and will be tossed because it was too messy to eat. The others in my party were able to eat their tacos although my husband pointed out that one of his tacos only had 2 pieces of chicken. There are a lot of bad reviews for this restaurant. The clerk who fixed my order "washed" her hands for less than 5 seconds. The bowl with beef was mostly rice. The restaurant refused to make cash transactions unless the customers presented with exact change. The dining room was filthy and it had obviously been quite some time since the greasy windows had been washed. I had a disappointing experience and will seek a different restaurant the next time I choose not to prepare my own meal. It wasn't the worst dining experience that I've had but it was well below even a mediocre experience. If you choose to eat there expect to settle for something subpar. read more

This place has gone downhill. The portions are wildly inconsistent, and most of the time the scoops are tiny. Watching them barely sprinkle ingredients into a burrito while charging these prices is honestly frustrating. Chipotle used to be known for generous portions, but now it feels like you're paying more and getting less every visit. For how expensive it's become, the food should actually be filling. A simple fix would be to weigh the burritos and bowls and charge based on what you're actually getting--at least then customers would know they're paying a fair price instead of being shorted at the counter. We were hesitant to go to this chipotle due to its bad reviews, but it was the best chipotle experience we've had in years! The chicken; so fresh, even after 9:30 pm! The server made us the most excellent bowls, filled with plump chicken and fluffy rice. The restaurant was slow, but they were still on top of everything. They had both regular and smokey Tabasco that we could use at our disposal! No one got upset when my boyfriend put soda in his water cup (he hates when that happens). Plus, we grabbed a bunch of napkins for the car (I recently had to use a receipt to blow my nose because we ran out) Seriously, this is a good Chipotle. read more

The meat was gray and rubbery, the rice clumped together like wet cardboard, and the guacamole looked like it had been scraped from the bottom of a trash can. me & my sister went here after moving to the area and im disappointed to say the least. 1, they are always out of vinaigrette. 2, the lady only put in one and a half scoops of rice in the bowl. I asked if they had any more fajita veggies and the guy that was cooking said he will make more, with an attitude. I told him not to worry about it since it sounded like i was bothering him. She said there was a tiny bit in the takeout so she put them in the bowl and there was like three vegetables. Went in at 7 pm to get dinner. I stood in line and watched an employee make up at least three orders before I was even acknowledged. When it came time for the food, I asked for two kid's meals (chicken quesadilla) and he made me cheese like I had never asked for chicken. When it came time for beans, they literally scraped the pan for refried beans (so they were dry,old beans) and said they weren't making any more. This location really seems poorly managed. It's clearly understaffed (I understand the state of the job market these days so that's no one's fault) and this is definitely resulting in burnt out employees who don't provide a good customer experience. I'm currently sitting waiting for a mobile pick up order with about 10 other customers who haven't been acknowledged about the wait for the food. The employees keep walking by without even making eye contact or offer any sort of apology for the inconvenience. Additionally menu items are constantly forgotten in orders, or out of stock and there's a disconnect when ordering through the app. If I order chips and can't pick it up, then l'm offered a coupon to redeem free chips, how am I supposed to redeem if there's never chips? Went to chipotle for lunch today. The young man working the counter and register was alone and working very hard. Still pleasant and greeted everyone very friendly. What I noticed was that he put on clean gloves, assembled the customer's order, went yo the register and took the gloves off, rang up the customer, when they were done, he politely greeted the next customer and put on a fresh pair of gloves.
