Wish i could give 1/2 a star. This is by far the worst Chipotle in the region...potentially in America. They constantly take online orders - say they'll be delivered in 30 minutes, then keep pushing the delivery time out until about 2-3 hours later they cancel. I just got my cancellation (its 2:44PM) from my 11:51AM order now. It's always a coin flip if 1) you ever even get your food 2) if they'll give you all the food you ordered and 3) you'll get some random thing that no one ordered. This is the busiest and most efficient Chipotle I have been to. Lunch time the lines are generally very long however, it does not take your entire lunch break to get served. And the employees are fun and upbeat! One of my favorites is the chicken burrito or the steak bowl. But everything I have tried on the menu is a hit! A mgr walked over and I explained that I only want the chips because of not having salad dressing. He comped me the chips but with an attitude. Not cool. This location is just miserable. My last mobile order was missing half the ingredients, including the protein, and the rice was so hard and undercooked it was inedible. The last few times I've put in an advanced mobile order, I (and 15 to 20 of my closest fellow mobile-orderers) have had to wait 15-20 minutes after our promised pick up time for our orders to be ready. In general I'm a big fan of chipotle. However this location struggles with online orders. The brown rice which was kinda hard meaning it wasn't cooked enough. I specifically asked for light cream cheese bc my stomach gets mad when I have too much dairy. But instead of giving me light they gave me extra cream cheese! So it felt like I was just eating cream cheese and rice bc they give such small amounts of all the other ingredients. I also asked for extra lettuce bc I like a bit of crunch with my bowl but even with that they were skimpy. I guess they just don't pay attention or think it's funny to mess with someone. Every time I go to a Chipotle I ask myself why. Customer service seems to be consistently terrible, ingredients are never all that fresh and it's disappointing to me that a brand I used to love has gone so downhill. This Chipotle met all of my low expectations. The romaine was half brown which prevented me from ordering a salad (my personal Chipotle fave), and I was overcharged for my bag of chips (charged instead for chips and salsa). I asked for salsa after I saw the receipt and one employee told me "he couldn't do that" in an exasperated tone. To his defense, he was handling meat but I had already asked the other two employees who were actively ignoring me. Also, the chips tasted like an entire bottle of salt had accidentally been poured out on them. I hate being treated like I'm a huge inconvenience when I order food, and it's disappointing when a few - simple - easy to fix things like rotten romaine and over salted chips ruin what would otherwise be a decent meal. read more

There food is good but lunch time online ordering service is atrocious. Orders come 15-45 minutes after the scheduled pickup time during rush hours. It's quicker to just wait in line or potentially risk selecting an earlier pickup time in hopes you can time out the delay the right way. Otherwise the food and service are what you'd expect from the chain. Just don't go during rush hour. Go somewhere else. Don't get me wrong, I love chipotle. However most locations are hit or miss. The rice at this location is always undercooked. I've definitely had an experience where the black beans were almost raw. The portions vary every time. I definitely never get my full money's worth of guac on my Bowl. If you go during lunch you'll wait 30 minutes in line. There's always a long line here at lunch time and with good reason. The food is inexpensive (I paid $6.95 for a chicken burrito bowl), good quality and it's tasty. To the credit of the people behind the counter, the line moves very quickly. It seems like you're in store for an eternity of waiting when you first get in line, but before you know it you're picking between white or brown rice and black or pinto beans. Sure it's a chain. Sure it's fast food. But it's a relatively healthy, low carb, low fat, high protein alternative to the greasy burger you'll get at other fast food establishments. I've only been to this location once, but to be honest, once was enough. Not because of the food. I mean, it's Chipotle. I love me some Chipotle. Chipotle tastes amazing. And hey, I'll give credit where credit is due, and this is not an easy location to work at. This Chipotle is smack in the middle of a hubspot of downtown activity. It always has a line, and they have to do their best with the space, hands and time they're given. So seriously, good on them - they at least seemed to have a handle on keeping their line of patrons moving when I stopped in. What they clearly don't have a handle on, though, are online orders. I had ordered my dinner via the Chipotle app specifically because I knew I would have about 20 minutes to get where I needed to go that night downtown after parking. So I put in a pickup time for 7:45 so I could eat as I strolled on over to my next appointment. Unfortunately, even though Chipotle promises that ordering through an app will guarantee your food is ready to go when you arrive, the staff ruined my plan, and didn't even start to make my order until I arrived. As a result I basically ended up in the back of the line, and I had to eat as I half jogged on down to my next stop that night; it was either that or not get dinner until 11pm. After that, I'm definitely going to avoid this location if I can. Their food may be worth a 5 star rating but that type of failure to meet company standards is a definitive 1 in my book - my 3 star rating is basically a balance of this. I certainly appreciate why they're always busy. That's not the problem. My problem was that they completely ignored my order until I arrived, the exact opposite of what app users are promised. If they're too busy to make app orders on time, they should look into being removed from the online ordering system. In the meantime, I'd rather spend the time and money necessary to avoid that kind of service during a rushed lunch or dinner. read more

As far as Chipotles go, the Market Square location is probably one of my least favorites, but if I'm in a hurry, it'll suffice. The staff always seems like they have something better to do and we are interrupting their fun. I've been there a few times now, and it's been the same every time. The store itself is pretty nice and reasonably clean for the amount of traffic that it gets. It's nearly always busy, but the lines move quickly. The food is on-par with any other Chipotle that you'll go to, but just know that you may encounter long lines, sometimes limited seating, and a little attitude from the staff. read more

Many of my friends rave about Chipotle but I don't go to one very often and I have to admit I don't understand the appeal. Anyway, I was in Pittsburgh for the weekend and there was a Chipotle in Market Square that I hadn't tried yet, so I figured I'd go there for lunch. First thing I noticed is the food line was long and slow-moving. This is not a problem unique to Chipotle though. It happens at Qdoba and Moe's as well. The bottleneck is when each customer has to pick the toppings they want. I ordered the burrito bowl with sofritas. This probably depends on the person scooping the rice and ingredients, but in what I got, the portion size was disappointingly small for the price. The dining area is small and cramped for the crowd. Even when I was seated, I had people bump into me a bunch of times, which was annoying. That's probably a result of limited space in a city location. And finally, restroom access requires a key code, which can be found on your receipt, so I hope you saved it. read more

Say for some reason you're willing to bet your life savings on some random situation. I can guarantee you that ordering anything through the app/website and betting these folks will get it wrong is going to make you rich. Thank me later. On two occasions I ordered from this store and they got the order wrong. The first time I chalked it up to human error and the second time I was just annoyed and gave up. Well, against my better judgement, I tried again using the website for delivery. I ordered two burritos, two drinks. The order was late, and when the delivery man handed the bag to my husband, the bag fell apart. He then realized that there was a bowl inside the bag instead of two burritos, and showed the delivery man that the order was missing a drink and was wrong according to the receipt. The delivery man insisted that it had to be correct and that he couldn't do anything about it. No refund. No offer to correct the order. Nothing. I have eaten chipotle and similar fast food places several times and they are always good and this experience was the same. It was good, but not great. I got the bowl with a tortilla in the bottom. I think the tortilla might have been old because they weren't as soft and tasty as they normally are. Instead it was tasteless and consistent with semi-stale tortillas. Drive down to the city to expect to eat chipotle. My boyfriend went into the store for the rude lady behind the counter to tell him I can't order a quesadilla in the store but I can order the quesadilla online. Please explain how that makes any sense and how is that convenient for any customer. What a loss of money because now we just left and are eating else where due to the hassle. Also no food was prepared no meats were ready waS told have to wait on steak and carnitas. The toppings lettuce cheese corn wasn't even prepared which can take a solid two minutes to prepare. This location has messed up my delivery order twice now. This most recent time I called them immediately after placing my online order to add something, and they said they would change it. When my food was delivered, the order was incorrect and they claimed that it had been picked up already so they couldn't make the adjustment.
