I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they are usually pretty good with my orders, but there was something missing from my order. I thought i'd try a quesadilla from chipotle this time and ordered the sofritas quesadillas, but it didn't seem to have anything else except cheese in it and even then it was not very much in my opinion. Chips I felt were not as fresh as they could be, but I will say I enjoyed the flavorfulness of the limited time vinaigrette they had. :) Otherwise, bowls are my go to and the tortilla I order on the side is always yummy

ordered ahead. not only was the order almost 20 mins late than promised in the app, the entire restaurant and especially the workstation were a hot mess. second time we've tried giving this chipotle a chance - never again

Upgraded!! This chipotle has struggled in the past. From being closed without notice, to poor customer service--I must say I had a great experience the last two times we ate at this location. Portions were generous! Everyone seemed to be working as a team and were welcoming. They had every option available, nothing was sold out. In the past you had to order online, even if the store front was open but they've since gone back to ordering face-to-face. Pro-tip: if you're taking your bowl home order your rice, beans, meat & cheese in the bowl and all your toppings on the side. This way when you get home you can re-heat the "hot" stuff and add the cold toppings after. Sometimes you'll get a worker who gets upset at the extra work and other times they'll be more than happy to do it for you.

Supposed to be burrito bowls and burritos....

We did have to talk to a more experienced person at the counter, but they were able to explain that They put down aluminum foil on the grill so that our corn tortillas don't get crossed contaminated by the flour tortillas. And the meat is made only on a grill with meat so you don't have to worry about cross-contamination there. We ate safely, but if you do go, just make sure you advocate for yourself and they will accommodate you.

The salmon with crispy rice was the only dish we enjoyed. The squash was terrible and smothered in mayo sauce, and even the steak was disappointing. I ordered one of the specials that used skirt steak (sorry, my Spanish is pretty much nonexistent so I forget the exact name) and it was prepared in ~10 minutes or so. I could tell it was fresh, so no complaints there! I took my food to go, and I have to admit that it was pretty challenging to cut up my steak with the provided plastic knife and fork. Granted, I'm not really sure what the solution is - it's not like they're going to give out a quality knife and fork for a take-out order. The steak was definitely tasty and tender for skirt steak, and the sides (rice, black beans, and pasta salad with a jalapeño on top) were all high quality as well. Finally, they offered some side tortillas which were decent but didn't blow me away. The whole meal was only $10, which is extremely reasonable for Princeton. Overall, I was really happy with my experience at Chapin. All of the food was good (with the exception of the side tortillas, which were only decent). I do think that the restaurant could offer a little more information on the ingredients of the specials (I had to use Google!), but I guess I could have just asked the reasonably friendly staff and he would have answered my questions :) But it's nice to just be able to read it off a menu. Anyway, I can definitely see myself coming back!

Service is friendly and efficient. Orders are made at the counter, or, dare you dare, via QR codes located at the table. Parking is limited, and because it's located between two one-way streets, it can be tricky coming in to or leaving. The Sopes at La Taqueria are a must to try. They're heavily ladened with tasty toppings, and I'd order them again in a heartbeat. The chorizo sope was especially good, and had enough chorizo on it to make two Sopes. Be forewarned that you will not have clean hands after eating them. On another visit I tried the fish tacos. Fish tacos at La Taqueria are the chopped/shredded variety rather than the deep fried filet version. The tortillas themselves were heated well, but were nothing special, nor was the flavor of the fish itself anything remarkable. I expected something more interesting from the place. On the flip side, I also tried a Taco de Tripa, asking for it to be cooked crisp (Tripa in Mexico is pork chitterling, not tripe) and it was very, very (feel free to insert more verys) good, and is definitely a taco I'll try again and again. During our most recent visit, we had the Enchiladas de Pollo en Mole, which brought four enchiladas in a deeply flavored mole with rice and beans. The mole was not sweet like so many other moles in other area restaurants, but was instead relying heavily on the flavors of the chiles. It was very tasty, and a nice change from the usual sweet moles. We also had an excellent Huarache de Lengua, a thick, oval tortilla ladened with beef tongue. I have a feeling my wife will be ordering it each time we return. In addition, we ordered a bowl of the Sopa de Panza y Pata, a soup with a spicy broth and loaded with cow's hooves and tripe. It was a meal in itself, and was also served with rice on the side along with some thick corn gorditas. I was torn between four and five stars here, and if the fish tacos hadn't been such a bust, they'd probably have gotten that fifth star. La Taqueria is definitely in the top tier of local Mexican/Guatemalan restaurants, and will be part of our regular rotation going forward.
