Was at Foothill Skate for an event and needed to take a break for lunch. I found this Chipotle nearby, just up the street. Be careful turning into the driveway, as some other cars may drive up to the ATM on the right, stopping perpendicular to the ATM (rather than parallel close to the ATM) and block your path going forward. This happened when I drove in, driver blocking traffic while his passenger used the ATM. I managed to maneuver around the blocking car and find parking around the side of the building. This location seemed consistently busy, as there was a steady line when I arrived and continued while I was eating here. But the line moves at a good pace so the wait is not very long. The people working behind the counter are great. They really pile on the food here. And they're also more generous with the scoop of guacamole. It's way more than at any of the Chipotle locations in the bay area. Can we just clone the workers here and have them staff the bay area stores? You're definitely getting your money's worth. They mostly have take out orders here. There is a little bit of seating inside but not a whole lot. A few small tables, one high top table for 2, and one larger round booth for 3 or 4 people. There are 2 restrooms at this location. The restroom doors are on the left side as you walk in. It requires a code to unlock, which can be found on your receipt. this is probably one of the worst chipotles I've ever been to. There's constantly a line either for pick up orders or four orders in-house and there's only ever one staff member helping. Yesterday we were waiting online and there were people just taking phone calls out on the floor in front of customers while we were waiting in a long line. Staff members doing trash and other cleaning duties. I understand that cleaning is a part of the job but you usually clean after the rush not during. Upon some further research I've seen that somebody even found a bolt in their bowl one time, and it makes sense that the food quality would diminish an environment like this. Extremely disappointing order This was my first Chipotle order in a very long time, and I honestly can't believe how disappointing it was. I ordered a burrito with the standard fillings: protein, brown rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and salsa/pico de gallo. What I received was essentially a small tortilla filled with sofritas, rice, and beans. No guacamole. No sour cream. No cheese. No salsa/pico. The burrito was also shockingly small for $14.65. I was expecting something much larger and filling, especially given Chipotle's reputation for big burritos. Instead, it was basically a regular-sized burrito with most of the standard ingredients completely missing. My husband also ordered a burrito bowl and had the same problem: the standard ingredients that should have been included were missing. The extra chicken he paid nearly $7 for was also an incredibly small portion. And the little container of sauce that came with the bowl wasn't even half full. The only thing that seemed reasonably sized for the price was the burrito bowl itself. This wasn't just a matter of portions being smaller than I expected. We paid for meals that were missing multiple standard ingredients that should have been included. If you're ordering through Grubhub, I would strongly recommend checking your order very carefully before you start eating it and taking pictures if anything is missing. Considering that there are thousands of "Chipotle" locations saturated across the United States as well as Canada and Europe, it is definitely not difficult to find one. The location I am reviewing is in Foothill Farms which is a census-designated community of Sacramento. Located directly at the corner of Madison Ave. & Auburn Blvd., this Chipotle has been around since the early-2010s and is the closest to where I live (in nearby Citrus Heights). As far as the location itself, it neighbors an "Ono Hawaiian BBQ" and nearby a "McDonald's". However, the parking situation can be very limited as the majority of spots are directly to the right when you park angular. Otherwise, there are only 3 dedicated spots in front of the restaurant. This is also not a big location and seating is quite limited (only large enough to fit about 20 people max). There are a few outdoor tables but on numerous occasions, I have found many of the tables to be quite filthy with food residue. I've probably been here a few dozen times; mainly for picking up to-go orders but sometimes I dine-in. The layout is similar to other Chipotle's but way smaller than many locations. Even the line can sometimes snake all the way to the main entrance/exit doors. Most of the time, many people pick up their food to-go as well as DoorDash pickups. Since I like to actually see them add my rice, beans, proteins, and sides, I know exactly what I will be getting. As many people know, prices ever since 2021-22 have skyrocketed (and depending when you read this review), they've probably gone up even more. Therefore, I have been ordering their "Kids 2-Taco Plate". This consists of two tortillas (flour or corn), side of rice, side of beans, and one protein. You can also opt for one side of your choice (cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream) and with the plate, you also get one small bag of tortilla chips and one small drink. Total price for this is only around $7 + tax. Not a bad deal if you're looking for something smaller than their burritos, rice bowls, and tortilla bowls. All in all, the Foothill Farms "Chipotle" has been consistently good in the numerous times I've eaten here. The service is average while they have gotten my orders correct at least 95% of the time. With that said and done, I am giving this Chipotle an above average four star rating. read more

Saturday, 10/14/2023 - Tried Chipotle. Address is 5040 Auburn Blvd, Ste A, Sacramento, CA 95841. They are located between Ono Hawaii BBQ and MacDonald. When we arrived, there were only 2 people in line ahead of us. We were the last in line. By the time we went across the front counter to get our meal, I turned around and the line was out the door! Wow. That was quick. There was plenty of parking here. At least we didn't have any trouble. But our food was pretty good. We got the carne asada bowl: half with rice and half salad, with guacamole, tomatoes, etc. The only thing was.....sadly... the beef was pretty chewy and on the plain side. I was bummed. The picture looked better than how it tasted. The queso blanco was delicious. The chips were good. But it's like $4.80 for a small bag of chips and small queso. The staffs were nice. Service When I arrived, I patiently waited over 5-10 minutes to be served while the staff prioritized online orders. Eventually, a team member informed me they would assist me shortly, but only after I waited further and was not acknowledged by the employee at the counter assisting walk-in customers. When I was finally helped, I was told that the store was out of small tortillas. I responded politely and requested a "Build Your Own" kids meal and asked if I could substitute a regular-size tortilla. The staff member responded with an unprofessional attitude, stating that I could not have a tortilla unless I ordered a quesadilla, which I did not want. I calmly explained that I was only requesting a simple substitution due to the item being unavailable. I brought this issue to the attention of the manager, expressing that I felt disrespected, especially after waiting patiently. The manager apologized for the employee's attitude. However, during this time, another customer began verbally harassing me, accusing me of trying to get something for free--which I never asked for. The employee laughed, and the manager failed to intervene or de-escalate the situation. I felt humiliated and unsafe, especially as a woman being targeted by a male customer in front of staff who did nothing to help. To make matters worse, I was overcharged--being told by the manager I had to pay extra for a kids veggie queso meal, even though this is not typically the case with online orders or at other locations. After all the other situation the manager said I could just order online then. At that point, I simply asked the manager to complete the order so I could leave, as the hostile customer continued to insult me while staff and manager remained unresponsive. I did not even receive my receipt nor the full kids meal, the chips and drink were missing. I left the store visibly shaken, upset, and without even receiving a receipt for my order. The entire situation was distressing and could have been prevented with basic courtesy and managerial intervention. I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and fully understand both the customer and employee perspectives. I remained patient and respectfully raised my concerns with the staff. However, I was then verbally harassed by another customer who misunderstood the situation, while the manager stood by, the staff laughed, and no one intervened. As a woman being publicly humiliated by a male customer, the lack of support from the team was deeply disappointing and inhumane. Despite the experience, I paid for my meals--was even overcharged--and left without receiving part of my order or a receipt. As a paying customer, I have every right to calmly address an issue and ask for a substitution when an item is unavailable. A manager should be equipped to handle such situations professionally and respectfully. I sincerely hope Chipotle takes this matter seriously and follows up. The first time I came here, I had a terrible experience. 1. The customer service from front end is horrible. Everyone on the line including cashier has an attitude from simple requests. 2. I paid for double honey chicken and they did not give me full portion scoops amounting to 4oz each. I am literally paying for extra-$4 EXTRA, why are they being so stingy!!! I wanted to give them another chance and it was still horrible. Again, the front end is still terribly rude. There's no hospitality nor acknowledgement of asking a customer who is clearly waiting for assistance if they are needing help with an order or a simple "How can I help you" "What can I help you with" "I'll be right with you" "I'll get someone available to help you in a moment". These are basic service manners. I noticed that people who have been waiting for mobile orders have to stand there and interrupt workers that they are waiting for a mobile order. The front line never stopped to acknowledge them or ask them if they needed help. Lastly, I asked the cashier a simple question to which she quickly tried to brush me off and said no to my question. I later called a customer representative to get assistance with my question. Turns out the cashier was able to help me with my question but didn't want to so she just told me no. The general manager, the leads, the front end all need retraining. I'm not sure what the general manager is doing or the leads to take of this store, it's so horrible. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I love the food. I Love that chipotle is careful with the ingredients they purchase. I love that they have meat substitute, plant based sofritos that is so good I don't feel like I'm sacrificing. I also love that I can order online with the intention of a quick pick up. The staff are also generally polite. Lastly I love their chips; they are light and flavorful. I think they use a lime flavored salt. This chipotle loses stars for two main reasons. One: ordering online means showing up at the designated pick time and still having to wait. Of the many times I've ordered for pick up, only once was my order waiting for me. I've had to wait as long as 20 minutes past my pick up time while watching staff stand around and chatting in the kitchen. The second reason for losing stars is that I pay $2.05 for chips and salsa. They give a decent amount of chips but give a salsa in a fairly small container. During my most recent visit, that container was only half full. The staff all wear masks and there is no inside dining. The restaurant is pretty good at allowing for social distancing. They have a small patio that I've brought my dog to dine, pre-Covid. They also offer coke products and have lots of other non soda options. I like that they offer unsweetened iced tea. read more

Food was okay. I had a burrito for the first time here and to be fair, i was a little disappointed. The burrito was so good, only problem was the cilantro. They were cut up not so well, and i'm not a fan of that. The meat was also pretty chewy which was sad. I have come here multiple times and always disappoint. They either "miss" my online order or they accidentally give it to the wrong person. Chipotle always tries to make up for it my giving me 50% off next order but this is annoying. Probably the worst chipotle location I've ever been to, in terms of the location. It's on the corner of a busy street with a small parking lot. It was not fun to travel to, but I got my food and got out. I ordered for pick-up an hour prior and my order was ready when I arrived. My meal was pretty standard, except for the fact that my bowl was a bit dry. I felt like they skipped out on the salsa and most of my bowl was lettuce and corn salsa. Luckily the steak was well portioned and wasn't overly chewy. I also enjoyed my side tortilla. The restaurant is a bit small for a chipotle, with not much inside seating. However, they do have some seating available outside that could be nice on a warm day. I'm not sure if I'd risk driving to the location during my lunch break again, door dash seems like a better plan to avoid the awful location. read more
