The staff helping you in the line are usually nice, and of course, they are fast. The food is consistent with all other Chipotle locations. I'd say the most inconsistent food item is the chips. They should be warm and crispy, and taste fresh, but it's not always like that. Portions are big and their $3 added guacamole is a must. A few times a year, they have different BOGO deals. Some are only thru the ap, so it's worth getting. We always get our food to go. This location, needs some work on keeping the dining room and the drink area clean. read more

I visited Chipotle Mexican Grill in Sacramento, CA [4001 Freeport Blvd] on Thursday, 01/15/26, in the afternoon. I placed an order for catering to feed a total of 20 people for my business meeting. The pick-up time was set for 1:45 PM. The order was not ready when I arrived. I waited until around 2:15 PM for the order to be complete. One of the staff members gave me a free drink for the wait time and the inconvenience. Parking tends to be quite a challenge for this location. Luckily, there was one stall available for the catering orders that had a 15-minute parking limit. Otherwise, I probably would have struggled to find a spot because all of the spots were taken. Overall, I do like how Chipotle does catering. It is always a crowd-pleaser for my business meetings. However, I may look into doing catered orders from other Chipotle locations, given the potential difficulty of parking and additional wait time. read more

The food is always delicious here, but my complaint is for the portion size. Sometimes when the girls assemble the food, they really skimp on the meat (and sometimes the white rice). I asked for tacos this evening and the girl put not much more than a skimpy tbsp of meat into the tacos. I asked for extra rice and she didn't hear me or didn't do it. I noticed when the GUYS are assembling the food they give you real portions - thankfully - and when the women serve often they give you much less, like it's a diet culture thing! I'm not sure why this Chipotle has such a bad reputation on Yelp. It's one of my favorite locations. I've been here at least three or four times to order a burrito bowl with al pastor, white rice, pinto beans, fajitas, pico de gallo, corn salsa, medium salsa, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, and a little lettuce. I only had time for one meal in Sacramento, and out of anywhere I could have gone, this was where I chose. The line has never been too bad. Once or twice, they were out of one of my favorite ingredients, but recently, they've had everything in stock. Customer service is clean enough, lobby is clean enough. There is plenty of parking right out front. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious, and it's a lot healthier than a lot of other places you could go out to eat. I would like to say that every time I order from this chipotle there has always been an issue. Like someone stealing my order or them being closed due to something so i couldn't get my food. The staff filling the bowl to where only half of the bowl can be covered. Also not allowing dashers to ask for a request because the person they are dashing for asks them to. Which i've never had an issue with anything being extra asked for like for a fork or vinaigrette. Over all the worst chipotle i've ever been to. Highly don't recommend but sadly doordash only allows that location to come to my house. In person is so terrible that I don't like stepping foot in that place because it's just always wrong. Had a concern if this is BLOOD on my burrito. I decided to call the Freeport location and was met with a robot speaking to me. I requested to speak to a worker but the robot was unable to transfer me. It sucks having a concern over my food and the manager being too lazy to have the phone on to pick up. I know someone who used to work here and got told how the salsa is not that bright red and even told me it may be blood. The food is good but the service and staff aren't friendly people. The old ways to forgive a mistake are over. My daughter requested a chicken quesadilla and received a cheese quesadilla. I informed the staff and they didn't fix the issue so I had to go back in line for a refund and repurchase. Currently having a hard time finding a reliable Chipotle every three months when I have a craving. The ones closest to me all seem to be having a struggle fest. Food quality is meh, customer service is bored with a side of meh, and order accuracy is dropping. Chipotle used to be a decent spot to get a complete meal for cheap, which for me now that I'm vegetarian, is usually the burrito bowl. It's even easy on the calories unless you add a bunch of extra crap. Since nobody asked, I'll list my burrito bowl build: rice, beans, mixed roasted veggies and/or sofritas, a little sour cream, pico, cheese, and if I'm feeling saucy, guacamole. I like their guac for whatever reason. It's the lime and onion tang. The chips tend to be on the salty side, which is a bummer since they are tasty otherwise. Sometimes I go crazy and order tortillas on the side to make my own tacos. Recently my beloved and I came in here for a quick dins on the way to trivia, feeling the siren call. I've given up on the Midtown location by me, so we tried this location by him. Twas sadly a meh experience. I did my aforementioned build with both sofritas and roasted veggies, since I had a hunger. Also ordered was one scoop of guac in my bowl, and a side of chips. My bowl tasted fine until I was mostly done (of course moment #1) and saw a part of an onion butt that looked like it was swiftly headed to the rotten side, and some bell pepper bits that were charred...one of which was in my mouth so I had to extract it as daintily as possible (fail) because gross. I am trying to reduce ingesting carbon emissions. I don't think I'll order the mixed over-roasted veggies again. My sofritas also tasted kind of off from what I remember them tasting like in the past. To top off this less than stellar visit, right as we were getting ready to leave (of course moment #2) I noticed I was double charged for the one scoop of guac I asked for on top of my burrito bowl. Sigh. We didn't want to be late for trivia and neither of us are the type who like to dispute such things, so we didn't try to get them to fix this. Also, we had eaten most of our food. This location has the worst customer service. I've been here twice and won't be coming back. The first time, I arrived around 9 PM, and they had already cleared out most of the food in the main prep area--even though they don't close until 11. I saw a worker turning off the burrito press and cleaning it, while the food toppings were already put away. When we ordered a burrito, they had to warm up the tortillas in the back, likely in the to-go prep section. They also put up an "out of order" sign, which made me wonder if it was just to keep customers from using the area after they had already cleaned it. The second time, on a Friday at 9 PM, the same thing happened. I ordered a burrito bowl, and my partner ordered a burrito. As our food was being prepared, a worker came over, turned off the burrito press, and started cleaning it. Once again, they had to heat up our tortillas in the back. I don't understand why they start shutting down and putting things away so early when the store is open until 11 PM. I've been to other Chipotle locations (like Delta Shores) around the same time, and they don't do this--or at least, I've never seen it happen. Eleanna and The rest of the women at the front were not welcoming at all--they didn't greet customers, made no effort to be friendly, and had unpleasant attitudes the entire time. There were no smiles, just constant negative energy. On top of that, they were very stingy with the food and seemed irritated when I politely asked for more. To make matters worse, several food trays were empty. The only bright spot in the experience was the male cook, who actually had a positive attitude and was respectful. It was a reorder as well so we did not change her order from the past. Got home and found out they did not put lettuce or rice in her bowl...... pretty lame looking veggie bowl and small. Tried calling and you get redirected to their automation system. They route you to the confirmation email to submit the issue. Their automation bot "pepper" then tells you to go in person to address the issue.... I tried calling again and asking for a representative but the phone line claims the store is now closed which they are not... frustrating situation when they rely on their poor automation systems to handle their mistakes. As someone who works at a different Chipotle location, I feel the need to speak up about the way this store is managed--especially under Jasmine C. Valencia. The organization here is incredibly poor, particularly when it comes to training and scheduling. My boyfriend was brought on as a new hire and received little to no proper training. When he was finally trained, they scheduled him for a shift that he had never even been trained to handle. They then left him to figure it out alone--and ultimately blamed him for mistakes that weren't his fault. What's worse, he was completely left off the schedule for three straight weeks without communication. They had also failed to pay my boyfriend properly for the amount of hours he had worked when trained. When he had brought it up to Jasmine a total of 3 times(3 days in a row)she refused to respond. When he finally was scheduled again today, they had changed his shift with no notice. This kind of treatment is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. As someone who works at a different location, we focus on training employees closely and communicating diligently. This location obviously lacks such care and respect for their staff. If this is how the managers of this establishment treat their own employees, it really makes you wonder how much respect and care they give to their customers. read more

I saw a roach in the food case. I notified the employee and the showed my pictures because the roach had already scurried away by the time she looked over. THEY CONTINUED TO SERVE UNWITTING CUSTOMERS this food as I offered to email them my pictures to share with exterminators or management and insisted that they should not be serving the food. They do not care for cleanliness or for your health and safety. Debris and sputum from roaches can make people very sick, on top of it being nasty. I'll be reporting to the county and won't be returning because even if they take care of it this time, their standards are not right. read more

The food is same as other chipotles. Service was ok. My issue was with the fact that if you would like to add more than 3 items to your salad you will have to pay $1.60 for every item you want. No where is it stated not in the restaurant or website. I was told that the new CEO for Chipotle has made that new rule. I texted them right away and was informed that Chipotle let's each restaurant make their own decisions on if the charge for more than 3 different items on their selection, they also decide if it .30-$1.30. i've NEVER had an experience like this from a SUPERVISOR/MANAGER, NAMED MARIA. I've went to Sac City for years, but this was my first time back in a while. we moved down the street and i always loved spending lunches here and nearby. this location always held a heart for me for 3 years, but coming back was probably a mistake. we understood they closed at 11pm, but when we got there at 10pm the supervisor, maria took the sweetest time of her life even though she saw us. took her 6 minutes to DRY HER HANDS. WE ALREADY FELT UNCOMFORTABLE AND UNWANTED THERE. LIKE WE WERE TRESPASSING, that's how bad it was seeing her and her horrific customer service skills. when she finally took our order saying "what do you want". i was already like, what??? as we ordered a burrito and bowl i asked her if they had vinaigrette, she legit screamed to hear staff "DO WE HAVE VINAIGRETTE!". As she rolled my bf's burrito, she got upset because she couldn't close it, like it was our fault??? she then said "ugh!!!". disgusting. her employers were so sweet to her and couldn't saying anything rude because she was the supervisor. maria and the chef were joking around and talked, as they both made jokes, maria looked at him in a disgusting way and told him to shut up. I think they did not have enough on hand so they gave me the regular 5 pieces of chicken. But they did fill it with a lot of rice this time. Last time I walked in they ran out of a lot of items so we had to pick other options and they took a long time, the line was very long which I never seen before. They kept pulling out the empty metal trays on to the table behind them...pretty stacked. I just think it's best I switch my location at this point for walk inn and delivery.
