The Reese's Blizzard was excellent too: thick, loaded with peanut butter cup pieces, and mixed perfectly. That's the reason most people (including me) keep coming back--Desserts are consistently great here. On the flip side, the burger was a miss this visit. It came way over-sauced with mustard--dripping everywhere, making it super messy and soaking the bun quickly. The whole thing tasted a little off, like the patty wasn't fresh or had been sitting too long. Fries were average at best, nothing memorable. Overall, if you're stopping by for Blizzards, cones, or shakes, it's a solid choice and worth it. But I'd skip the burgers next time unless you're just craving the ice cream fix. Dairy Queen is pure nostalgia for me. I grew up loving it, but my kids had never tried it since we don't have one nearby. So when we were in the area, we had to stop. We ordered the infamous chocolate dipped cones along with a snickers and birthday cake blizzard, and the desserts were just as good as I remembered. They even did the upside down Blizzard trick, which made my kids smile. The fries were served fresh and hot and my son enjoyed the chicken strips. Surprisingly they even came with a piece of toast. The only downside is the drive thru. We have gone three times now, and each visit the wait has been very long. It usually looks like they only have one or two employees, and even when there are two, only one seems to be taking orders and making the desserts while the other stands by. With a little better staffing or teamwork, the line could move much faster. The area feels a bit sketchy, with some homeless individuals nearby, and there is often a lot of trash and food debris around the perimeter of the building. That's why we only choose the drive thru. We will definitely come back for ice cream treats when we are in the area, but I really wish the wait time was shorter and the exterior was kept cleaner. read more

My wife loves the Oreo blizzards so I was driving by and got her one. Also got a couple of double cheeseburgers that were so good. I have been on Blizzard runs many a time over the years. The staff is always polite and friendly and do the upside down presentation, never gonna get a free Blizzard. The only downside is getting out of the parking lot due to high traffic but today a train was blocking the traffic. So yes the location is terrible. I'm always kind of disappointed when I go here, I've been to this location about 4 times and the other three times I have gotten the chocolate dip cone. Which is one of my favorites, its just always tends to be really sloppy, but that wasn't really the problem until I had came earlier today and I had gotten a blizzard to switch it up because I thought that maybe the dip cone was just too difficult. After over a decade, I decided to visit this location because I saw a blizzard coupon deal and thought it'd be a nice treat for my GF's kids. The coupon advertised a small 12 oz. blizzard for $3.49, limit 2. I walk in and there are about 4-5 guys behind the front counter. No greeting, but one guy stepped up and said he would take my order. I give him the coupon and told him that I would like the 2 blizzards. He tells me that I can only get one for that price. I show him the fine print on the coupon where it says "Limit two per coupon per customer." He tells me that I need another coupon in order to get the second blizzard for the $3.49 coupon price. I tell him that's not what the coupon says, but he insisted that I need another coupon. I was in a rush and didn't want to argue so I let it go. Otherwise, I would have asked for the manager (assuming he wasn't the manager). They took the original coupon, but I have some of the other ones that they advertised, where it clearly states a limit of 2 per coupon. The receipt shows that they only discounted one of the items. Now that I'm looking more closely, they even got the discount amount wrong...should have been $2.40. Thanks for the the extra $0.09 off, but I would have preferred the full amount for the second discount instead. Bad customer service and false advertising...now that's a combo meal I'm not willing to pay for again. Maybe the FTC would be interested in hearing about the latter illegal practice. read more

7/20/23 - This location has gone way down hill unfortunately in the recent years. Where we used to come and get superb service with great tasting treats and frozen blizzards, today we were met with crappy service and melted blizzards. Trying to treat my two teens to an afternoon ice cream cool down we went here on a hot day, after waiting in the drive thru for over 15 minutes we finally got our order. Their custom is to serve it to you upside down and if it falls out you get it for free. Well the service lady said, "Hi, you ordered the Oreo Brooke blizzard with cheese cake pieces added" , went to turn it upside down and liquid dripped all over her and the window seal and some of it fell out. She then proceeded to flip it back over and hand me the cup with the melted ice cream pouring down the sides (some even got onto my car door?). I asked her, "Isn't there a clause that if it spills I get it for free?" To which she had the audacity to say it didn't spill then asked me if I wanted napkins. I took the napkins and advised that was definitively a spill or I wouldn't be needing napkins. Needless to say all three blizzards were melted and I just drove off frustrated. I do plan to call management later and file a service concern. I wish she had taken my money AFTER handing us these. There's no way I would have paid for them. I'd have handed them straight back. Side Note: Beware there was a homeless guy with a blanket over his head just chilling by the drive thru ordering menu. He didn't bother us nor did he ask for money. read more

They are located close to the light rail station on Fruitridge. Their pretzel sticks come with three soft pretzel sticks. They are about the size a whole pretzel. The cheese that they come with is hot! I don't mean spicy, thought it is slightly spicy. The cheese is really hot. It burned by tongue once! Let the cheese cool for a minute before dipping the pretzel sticks in it. The blizzards are a bit pricey but really good. The blizzards usually have a lot of toppings in them too. read more

I placed an online order for Dairy Queen. Excited to go back as it's been a long time. The website indicated my order would be ready in 15 minutes, so I left and arrived at that time only to find the dining room closed. I had to wait in the drive-through line for approximately 20 minutes to receive my food. As it had been prepared for the original wait time, the fries and cheeseburger were both cold and the sundae had started to melt. The cheese burger was standard, fries too cold to enjoy but the sundae was as tasty as I remember. I'd recommend they either add a different way to pick up online orders, or notate it on their website that you need to delay your order to allow time to sit through the drive-through line. First we pulled up to the drive thru and the person taking our order couldn't hear us and gave us the wrong order. When we can to pay for our correct order she gave us a different price then she did 5 seconds ago and told us we where $5 short. It took us 10 minutes to get our food. 5 minutes is ok but 10 minutes that's a little long to be in a FAST FOOD drive thru.
