I asked the person serving me about the law enforcement discount for correction officers and some female comes out of nowhere with an attitude talking about you got to be in uniform and it's only for police officers. I stated nicely that I've been given a discount in the past and she tells me that's why the previous manager got fired. Her tone and demeanor was rude and condescending. Almost like she has a problem with anyone in law enforcement or corrections. Then she starts trying to take over making my order and messed up my vegetarian burrito. I'm never coming back here again. I've waited a few weeks to post this because I was thinking if it was worth the hassle to speak up or not but I feel she treated me like trash and like I was begging when in reality I wasn't. I'm never coming here ever again. And by the way , Corrections is part of the law enforcement community lady!!!

I work nearby so we (my coworkers and I) order here at least 1-2 times a week. We almost always have a stellar experience. I won't go into too much detail about the one time we didn't- because I don't think that's fair to do when 99.9% of the time, this location has been amazing. -1 star for that ONE time when everything went wrong, otherwise this is a 5 star location. I have a lot of issues with the Chipotle customer service (for the company, not this particular store... see below.) This location is great at managing their in-store queue, as well as their mobile order / pick up queue. I always order on the Chipotle app and it's almost always ready when it's scheduled to be (give or take 5 minutes, sometimes it's ready earlier and sometimes a few minutes later. No complaints here.) The staff is mostly friendly, I would say 90% of them are very very friendly, 8% are indifferent there's a small percentage that's unfriendly and easily overwhelmed. The food is always fresh and the portions are consistent with the Chipotle brand. THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO CHIPOTLE AS A CORPORATE COMPANY, NOT THIS LOCATION: If you have any issues with an order, they make you file the issue online with "Pepper" the online chat assistant. It doesn't always work, and it just keeps looping for what seems like forever before you're actually connected to an agent (if you ever are actually connected to an agent). You can only submit one issue per order, so if they mess up all the items on the order (or even if they omit multiple items), you can only get the company to "fix" one of the mistakes. And they won't give you your money back, they'll give you a "reward" towards a future purchase. Which is bs. If I pay for a service or product and do not receive that service or product, I should get a refund. Point blank. That being said, after trying to dispute the issue with their online AND over the phone customer service, I just went back to the restaurant and they settled it for me unofficially, which I greatly appreciate. It's difficult to speak to someone on the phone- the automated system constantly tries to reroute you to go online and chat with "Pepper." It takes a lot of persisting with the automated system to eventually connect with a real person (this applies to both the restaurant phone number and the corporate customer service phone number.)

I cannot express how poorly this meal was made. I ordered online. Not the first time (that's on me). I've had issues every single time I've done that. I ordered a quesadilla and my girlfriend (not to brag) ordered a vegetarian bowl. My quesadilla was not fully cut and barely had meat/cheese in it. My other order was a vegetarian meal that came WITH PIECES OF STEAK. There were missing items for both orders. It took effort to make a meal this ridiculously bad. Congrats to you, chipotle in southington, for continuing the tradition of completely sucking at customer service. If you're the franchisee, I hope you read this. You are horrible at your job. You have no standards. I can only assume your employees hate you based on the service we all get. So thanks. Thanks for ruining chipotle. If I could get this less stars I would but Yelp is worried it'll hurt your feelings.

Okay, so at first, I wasn't planning to write any more reviews for the foreseeable future. Just…read morebecause I wrote one review recently didn't quite mean I was warmed back up to Yelp just yet, and if I'm being honest, I'm still not. Between a removed review causing me to go missing from Yelp for 6 months and losing my trust in posting my reviews here on Yelp, I let go of my Elite status and am now back to square one. But after driving my mom to Manor Inn so she could attend an event there, I decided to look up spots around there since I did spot that their wait times were going to be extensive. That's when I decided to go here and see what was good. Honestly, after I encountered the parking situations in both places and went into the restaurant, I knew I had made the right call. I was seated immediately, given a menu, and even given some complimentary chips, salsa, and a plate of refried beans sprinkled with some cheese. Now, refried beans and salsa are not foods I would normally eat because my food palette don't usually like those items. But with these tortilla chips, they were both very flavorful, and given this was complimentary, they were all the more appetizing. I should also mention that my waitress, Sayda, was very nice and prompt whenever she came to my table. Answered any questions I had, and had no problem with my orders. So from the menu, I went with the Tropical Twist, their Calamari for an appetizer, the tacos de barrio for dinner, and even ordered churros to go so I have something for when Winter Storm Fern dumps 80 million inches of snow tomorrow and into the next day. Oh, might I say, everything was delicious! I knew I couldn't have alcohol because I still had to pick my mom back up and then drive back home to Waterbury, but that Tropical Twist was a nice consolation if you can't have alcohol. The fried calamari was also another great choice. That dip it came with was so addictive it was like crack, and the perfect thing to pair with fried calamari. If there's one thing I would say could be improved, it's that they could be just a smidge more liberal with the fried coating. There were some pieces that had some small spots that had no coating at all, but nothing too major. For the tacos, MMM MMM GOOD! The meat was tender and flavorful, the presentation was great, and the consome paired deliciously with the tacos. It's definitely worth the $20 they cost. The churros were also pretty good. I can't say they were the best churros I ever had because the place that made my favorite churros ever closed down back in 2024 and had since become a dog grooming place, but if not for that, then I might make a case for that statement to be true. The chocolate syrup it comes with is divine and a nice sweet treat to finish off the night. I was in and out of the place in maybe a slight smidge above half an hour, so I would say all-in-all I'm glad I came. The place is also well decorated, bathrooms are clean, and the ambiance is inviting and casual. Now, I may still need to gatekeep a few reviews here and there, but this place was a step in the right direction in getting my confidence back in Yelp. I would definitely come back here again whenever I get a chance, and I highly recommend coming to check out this place if you're in the area. Oh, and for comparison's sake, it was an hour and a half between when I was finished here and when I could finally pick my mom back up again from Manor Inn. Take that as you will.

I called ahead to make sure they made their own michelada mix, which did not disappoint. It was more on the tangier side but delicious nonetheless. I got their chicken mole which came with white rice, different than any other mole dishes I've had before. Their white rice was some of the best I've ever had- to say the least. The refried beans were delicious (they served me tortilla chips with salsa and refried beans as soon as I sat down). The mole was a good sauce, certainly on the spicier side - hot and strong spice favor. Everything was good, I could see myself going back for a michelada and trying other things off their menu next time. I definitely won't pass up on their in restaurant fried tortilla chips, that's for sure, they were delicious. Thank you Loteria!

I told the it was our first time there and the lady taking my order answered some questions I had with a smile. I ordered 1 cow tongue taco, 1 al pastor taco, a kids beef burrito and a steak burrito. The kids burrito is a great deal. You get a choice of a burrito or quesadilla and it comes with fries for 9 bucks. The lady was so humble she didn't even realize they had great reviews online until I showed her. Everything was good with my favorite being the burrito and the cow tongue and my least favorite being the al pastor (not that it wasn't good, it was just ok). The food was ready quickly and they even gave us 2 of their limeades on the house! Delicious btw I highly recommend their homemade limeade. It's so refreshing and sweet and the perfect compliment to the fat is and burritos. The food smelled so good even in the container lol. I'm def going to be a regular here.

Steve was really nice when he took my order & chatted it up while I waited for my food. Inside was pretty small w/ a couple of chairs if you wanted to dine in but it was pretty hot in there. There was a couple of decorations & on their wall was food awards including 1 from Yelp. The food overall was solid. The quesadilla was flavorful and pretty tasty, but I do wish it had more shrimp. I even paid for extra shrimp & there still wasn't enough. It was more cheesy than anything. The rice was good & the beans had shredded, melted cheese on top which I love. The flan, however, wasn't good for me. It didn't really hit & was kind of disappointing. It lacked flavor & its consistency was off. I really liked their salsa verde sauce (it had gr8 flavor & a nice kick). The only downside was that everything came separate & nothing came w/ the order(no chips or extras)so it felt a little basic compared to other spots. All in all, it's a solid takeout spot w/ good food, but portions & a few items could be improved.

Steve was friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. I ordered the chicken tacos, but I didn't realize they were made tinga style. If I had known, I definitely would have gone with the birria tacos instead...I still regret not ordering those! The restaurant was smaller than I expected, and it was a little too warm inside for my liking, so we ended up taking our food to the car to eat instead. the tamarindo drink was crisp and refreshing. For dessert, I tried the flan. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, as it had more of a gelatin like texture. I personally prefer a creamier, custard style flan, and this one reminded me more of a boxed mix. The fresh flavors, generous portions, and Steve's excellent customer service made it a place I'd be happy to return to...next time, I'm definitely trying the birria tacos.

Sparse decoration and the kitchen takes up a majority of the tiny space. There are tables, but it's very much a To-go place. We ordered some tamales, some tacos and some chips. Went to the salsa bar and got a bunch of sauces to try. Drove to a parking lot to take pics and dig in. The tacos were a little overcooked and under seasoned. They tasted good and were dressed simply. They all needed salsa to really shine. The chorizo was the best bite. Just enough spice and seasoning to stand well on its own. The weakest being the ground beef, which was dry and not seasoned beef. The tamale was good, cooked in a banana leaf, good masa and the mole filling was hot and sweet which chicken used as the protein. A well balanced bite. The chips and salsa were basic but plentiful. Price was reasonable given the quality. It's not a date night Mexican place. It's a place for regular folk to get decent Mexican fare at decent prices, good portions, and basic but executed well tacos. It's great for those who are around the area, but not a space I would try to hunt down

I opted to order a couple tacos to-go and try their chicken and mole tamale on special. Wow!! The proteins were cooked perfectly with flavor - so all the taco needed was cilantro and onion - like they are supposed to be done. The tamale was probably the best I have ever had. Using a black mole inside the tamale the chicken was moist and tender. My favorite value was the salsa bar - at no additional cost you can choose from about 6 different salsas, from a variety of spicy levels and flavors. Also included is Jalepano, radishes and some other small things. A great idea that adds true value to the customer. Overall this is a taqueria that I will drive to!!! When I am in the mood for tacos I am here. I should also mention they do have a full Mexican menu with entrees and such. So many items to try to keep you coming back.
